Tried the climbers chalk ball, stuff works and is cheap, but it's a mess. Sticking (sorry) with ProGrip.

No failures using the Servicios primers in three different pistols...a stock G34 and 2011 as well as a P16 (both with 19# mainsprings).

My vote would be G34. The weight difference between Gen4 and Gen5 is reportedly 0.28oz. Maybe some folks are finely tuned machines, but I'm not even going notice the weight difference. The difference is the same as one single 124gr bullet. Not a loaded round, just a bullet alone. Not enough to even notice.

Yes, I'd stick with a plastic mag release.

EGW is a solid recommendation. Hopefully you have found what you needed by now. For future views, Para used an LPA cut adjustable rear. The older Canadian Limited and Signature P16-40's came with LPA adjustable rear sights.

TiteGroup crisped/dulled my FO inserts in ~1000rds of Major PF. Other loads I can go most of the season.

I voted leave it on. Unless you are spraying that stuff with wild abandon, I can't see a reason to worry about removing it. I use carbide dies and always use One Shot spray case lube as it makes everything smoooooth. I'll spray it into an empty two gallon Ziploc freezer bag, then immediately poor the clean brass batch in. Shake bag vigorously. Set open bag down on bench for a few minutes with another shake or two, after a few minutes poor the bag into the feeder hopper. Shake & bake (load).

First, congrats on the new DS9! Dry fire and watch what your trigger press is doing or not doing. As someone that prefers thumb on safety technique, I would say it is not for everyone. My strong hand (RH) thumb pressure is firm, but not steering. Locked in once the safety is pressed as presentation is pushed forward to engage. New pistol and you just need to practice and see what works for you.

I find that doublestack mags are less forgiving generally compared to singlestack magazines, generally. If needed I'll brush/wipe out the mags if shooting in sand or bays with very fine crushed gravel or good forbid mud. Otherwise, they all get broken down in the late Fall for deep clean and inspection.

Looking forward to actually checking one out. Crazy inexpensive price point. Might be fun, if it holds up.
