  1. In the spirit of consistency, local rules should not be adopted. Either you're USPSA or you're not. I refer to the aforementioned McDonald's cheeseburger analogy.
  2. Its not a public event. Typically a private club where members have to pay to shoot. Although spectators are usually welcome it's not the same as a public street. That said, the etiquette would say that you ask if anyone has an issue being filmed because you'd like to put it up on YouTube, etc.
  3. It's an RO issue. If the shooter was stopped by the crowd there would be an interference call and the shooter would get a reshoot.
  4. I have 2 Glock 34's Limited class that have never had a single jam - ever. Approximately 5k through each one. I also have an Open class 34 which used to get jams between the scope mount and the ejection port, (the fix was to move the scope forward more and add a blast shield), and if when the 10 pound recoil spring wears out it will double feed a lot. I just wish I could get more miles off of the springs. At any rate, there's 3 Glocks with one that can jam. So that's about 33% of the Glock I have that will jam.
  5. I gotta say, that was a "textbook" 180! I also have to give respect to the RO who caught it quickly. It shows he was watching the gun. Despite the varying degrees of how hardcore some of us think it is, there are always going to be 180's in our sport and I would bet that he learns from this and won't do it again.
  6. Wasn't sure where to post this, but how do I post an avatar pic? I've read the guidelines, sized it proper, deleted cookies, signed out and back in again, but to no avail. Any ideas? Thank you!
  7. I hope that you started with a load from a published manual and reduced below max for your first try. If not, start over and do just that. Agreed!
  8. That sounded scary... I use Titegroup at 3.6 grains with a 124 Extreme Bullet in my Glock 34. This gets me at a power factor of 127. It shoots awesomely! Also, do you use a drop check gauge at all?
  9. Possibly your recoil spring? I know mine starts to act funky with FTE's and FTF's when it's wearing out. Of course that's always during a match and never at practice!
  10. That's awful. I liked Kevin, he was always very nice to me and took the time to explain things.
  11. It took me about 2 matches to even be able to remember how I shot the stage! Such an adrenaline blur...!
  12. I have yet to see a factory one wear out or fail. Anyone else?
  13. That's great! I always like hearing stories of youth shooters starting out. I sure wish I would have started that young!
  14. I like mine on the 650. 9mm and .40 doesn't fill the case up all that much with Titegroup, so there is potential for double charge without powder spilling over. I look at it as insurance against my being dumb.
  15. Old eyes and shooting in the Nevada high desert sun washes out C-More dots for me at less than 6.
  16. Look up the .25 cent Glock trigger job. Takes about 20-30 minutes and is surprisingly effective. For a good drop in I personally run the Zev Ultimate trigger kit. It's pricey but a good drop in kit.
  17. There's a reason that Infinity has an 18 month wait and costs what it does. Between the two I would go Infinity. I've ran one before and never had an issue or a buyers remorse moment.
  18. When you stop getting those butterflies right before your turn it's time to find another sport...
  19. Gotta say 124's. This was true even way back when the power factor was 175.
  20. Some have asked about how the Zev comp works with the slide. If you take a look at the attached pics you will notice that they have to mill the end of the slide and the comp to match nicely. So, if you just purchase the comp and don't have the mill work done it may not look like mine does. It would probably still function though. Hope this helps those who are curious.
  21. Thank you. Currently using Extreme and Autocomp. And yes, the comp makes a difference, it shoots quite flat.
  22. Yes, you can buy those parts. They've got a "secret menu" of things that they don't put up on their website it seems!
