  1. That leads to another question. I put a Springer Precision trigger kit in my XDM and there wasn't much info out there in where to adjust the trigger stop. It's setup to stop as soon as the trigger releases. Do I need to add more free travel? It's an expensive part and I've already had to add material once because I messed up the adjustment. Some like to have a little bit of pull through with their overtravel settings to avoid this. It is just something you have to try to see what works best for you.
  2. You might consider getting a holster or a G17 or G34 instead. The 19 would still work fine but it gives you the option to upgrade guns without having to upgrade holsters. I started with a G19 but quickly moved to a 34.
  3. It looks like ISMI has 13lb springs for the Glock 19 (mid sized frame Glocks http://www.ismi-gunsprings.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=10&Itemid=17 ) and Wolf has 15 lb springs for the 19 ( http://www.gunsprings.com/index.cfm?page=items&cID=1&mID=5 )
  4. I don't think after market Springs are allowed for GSSF except in the Unlimited division.

    Grips

Yeah, it's strange since you can't really change the profile of a polymer gun. I don't see any restrictions against replacement grips that significantly change the profile of a gun which accepts hand grips so long as they do not form a makeshift magwell.
  6. I pulled over 200 there other day. I wasn't fun but it wasn't that bad ether. 25 would be easy or put the in the practice pile and is you hear a "pop" instead of a "bang" followed by a malfunction then Justin stop to ensure there isn't a bullet half way down your barrel before chasing it with a fresh round.
  7. It's really about pulling straight back on the trigger and not pulling too far through where you are bottom out the trigger on the frame. Imperfections in trigger pull are not as obviously when you are shooting slowly but when you speed up its easy to get sloppy.
  8. It doesn't have anything to do with misaligned sights per say. Your trigger pull is jerking your gun down just before it goes off. You needed to adjust your trigger pull so that when you slap the trigger it doesn't disturb the sights. Start with dry fire practice focusing on not disturbing your sights when you pull at speed.

    3 Gun CZ's

Double action style trigger on a SAO?This without the magwell and ACCU-rized is my prediction for the next big thing for Production division out of CZC. It's just a matter of time... I hope
  11. Try using more or less finger as well. i.e. Grabbing closer to the first knuckle
  12. There plastics rod made a dent but didn't go through anything. It bent in half from the force but otherwise seemed to be a good compromise for safety.

D4 "Replacement grip panels are allowed provided they do not extend below the butt of the gun to form a make-shift magwell."

VZs are nice. I use the thick aluminum on my competition gun but I have to pretty much cover the left grip in grip tape to be effective. The small area that is covered stock is just inadequate.
  15. Yeah, I have the racemasters and it's the same deal. I have to tighten them regularly. I was thinking Blue Loctite as well.
  16. Thanks. Looks like I missed the true Gen 1.
  17. No idea. I have a 7 round side saddle in my junk drawer. PM me if you get desperate.
  18. Gen 1 has no finger grooves Gen 2 has finger grooves and once pin in the locking black. Gen 3 has two pins in the locking block Gen 4 interchangeable back straps and dot like gripping stippling.
  19. I had one on my 650 using Federal primers. I hit a NATO primer pocket that was a bit too small and the primer got sideways. Ignited almost 100 primers in the tube. Put a nice hole in the ceiling but didn't go through. I have pictured somewhere. It sounded like one large bang. My wife was in the room and thought she was going to turn around to find me without a face. No harm done other than ringing some ears and destroying a primer system. I try two use Winchester primers now. They feel a bit less squishy.

    3 Gun CZ's

Double action style trigger on a SAO?
  21. My family will be vacationing at Virginia Beach next week. We have been looking forward to it all year. I took enough away from my A5 that in one spot I can just see the edge of the tube. I know others have gone past that line and since there isn't as much material there on the A5 I have to assume that contributes to having them break in half when you toss them into a dump barrel.
  22. I am looking to replace the small fiber optic front sight on my 28" Browning A5 with something a bit larger and brighter. I have seen references to the HiViz Comp and Triangle styles as well as the Champion. Can anyone break down these options and help me to make a selection? Also, assuming I can get the old one off, what is the preferred installation method to keep it in place dispute the barrel tosses.
  23. Okay, I was confused because there is a new style 85 and an original 85. Thanks.
