  1. If the gun runs reliably with them, why not? If you don't shoot a lot, or shoot minor, it may never matter. I want my .40 cal Atlas to last a long time. The maker recommends using them. It's reliable. If it extends the life of the gun another 10k rounds then I'm good with it.
  2. I would prefer it to be more physical. I'm 55, but work my butt off to stay fit and see USPSA as a "sport". When I get too old I'll bail and start shooting sporting clays or trap. This will be my 8th year in the sport. Believe I'm at about 180 matches on practiscore including multiple nationals, state, and area matches. I can count the number of low ports that required kneeling on one hand. I have never had to go prone. It seems it should happen at least on occasion.
  3. My thoughts confirmed. Thanks DeepFried...
  4. Is anyone using the Apex kit? (Trigger, bar, and connector)
  5. Ordered my Long's Huron on Jan 29th. Got notification it shipped yesterday. Right at four weeks is a pretty good turnaround.
  6. 124/5 because I like simple math...
  7. I have several. Will not buy another Red Hill. I appreciate their support of matches, but the fit and durability are not good. Fit is sloppy and my first one cracked within a year of purchase. They gave me a discount on a replacement and they are fairly quick about shipping as positives. Also have a GX Vice which is good. Fit is average but with the lever lock it is not an issue. Very tough holster. Problem is the website says 16 weeks lead time and I have heard rumor it can be longer than that. I just ordered a Long's Shadow Huron for a 1911. I have one for Tanfo. The fit is excellent and lead time is not bad. As for specific guns. Call whoever you plan to order from and go over it specifically. They likely have seen it before and can guide you...
  8. Have been checking Practiscore occasionally looking for the Classic to open. Is it going to happen?
  9. Does it matter who we vote in if they can just be removed??
  10. In sweaty, hot, and humid Louisiana my Hard Chrome guns look perfect. (when I actually clean them) The oldest is from 2019. I wipe them off after shooting, but they aren't babied at all.
  11. I have been shooting Tanfo's for several years so this is not a new issue. I moved through the normal Blue then Red Loctite and quickly realized that they did not work. I went to Green Loctite bearing surface adhesive in my Production guns which worked well. (I line the channel and coat the sight with it. Blue on the set screw.) I'm now shooting .40 in Limited and even the Green does not seem to be holding. My next thoughts were either JB Weld or Roksett? Do any of you guys have suggestions?
  12. Before I started reloading I bought lots of 9mm from Freedom Munitions. They use stepped cases. I started saving brass well before I began reloading and never had an issue with those cases through numerous reloading cycles. (I shoot on my property so I save all non-match brass) This was all with puny 130 PF loads though. I understand the 9mm major guys staying away from them.
  13. I bought a .40 slide to put on one of my Stock II's to start shooting limited with. I have three S2's and a Limited gun. The .40 slide has been on multiple guns without issue.
  14. I got a MBX that came with a used .40 cal gun. It's my drop mag for dry fire as that's all it seems to be useful for...
  15. Agreed with last. 2.5 years with G34. Now close to 3 with Stock II's. I can jump back and forth within a few draws. Not to 100% with either certainly, but I would not take long in regard to the grip. Now the trigger.......
  16. I’m absolutely the opposite. Having that swell available on the back left side of the grip really let’s me get “behind the gun” with my support hand. it may just be a philosophical difference between those compressing more from the sides vs front to back pressure. As for not having the short ones in stock? I had one gun with a mag well and palm swell bogies. Bought a mag well for gun #2 so shortened my existing grip with cutting disc on a dremmel. Worked perfect.
  17. Is that just on the newer ones? I have a 2020 model and it did not come with any rear sight.
  18. At yesterday's local. 19 CO 16 Limited 10 Open It was a small match with 48 shooters, but this has been a common trend where I live of late. In the last 6 months I've seen the Limited numbers steadily increase. Some are new or not super serious shooters. A number are more involved and moving from CO after a year or two there. Looking at the comments above I believe CO was "the new hotness" two years ago, but now I'm seeing people cycle to other guns. CO is still "the" division without question, but I'm Interested if any of you out there see the same trend?
  19. Is that CZ follower caliber specific for 9 or .40? Didn't see an option on the link you posted.
  20. I liked the Honest Outlaw review. Seemed pretty “honest”. If you love your TSO (or your 2011) just stay where yo are because they are all great guns. Three years ago I was gonna try Limited when the DWX came out. Got tired of waiting and now shooting Tanfos in Limited and I’m happy. Of course if you want one… buy it!
  21. So my comment will be put them into CO. There is no way we need to further dilute the competition in USPSA. I will fully support 15 rounds in Production. It will match IPSC and make that Division viable again.
  22. Would it not have been better to open a comment period to the membership with the option of "What do you want, another division, or should we put these guns into CO?" I feel confident that the answer would have been put them into CO. I actually thought that was the way most divisional changes were to occur, not just the board telling us how it is...
  23. I liked the Ghost EVO Elite when I shot Glock but it requires a bit of filing. Hear great things about the TTI kit Rowdy speaks of. Dropping that in with a polish job should do it.
  24. I have a nicely tuned Ghost Evo elite that is may favorite. Bought a Yikes and say it's definitely a "meh" as far as connectors go. Would not buy again.
