  1. I have worked a couple as an RO. Tell them you only have three mags and one of them might load it up for you.
  2. I have a Warren Sevigny .215 front sight I'll swap for a .245 if someone needs. I put it on my G21 and it hits high.
  3. Congress in the 50's didn't have this kind of technology. If you watch some of the videos, the timer is alarmingly consistent on the stages where the RO isn't in question. I understand the skepticism but it didn't take long for me to be convinced.
  4. Its really the only thing I don't have at this point, besides a major sub gun for GSSF. I would actually carry the 42 on occasion, but probably not a 30. 1st gen 17 4th gen 17 4th gen 19 4th gen 20 4th gen 21 3rd gen 22 4th gen 26 4th gen 34

Match video from today. Other than somehow putting a shot directly in the middle of the one inch wide hard cover on the first stage, it went smooth from there. I think right now I need to keep working on improving my transition time and quit flipping the gun around so much when reloading.

Inching my way higher. Classifier 99-08 (Melody Line) should be an 84% today. And I felt like it was slow when I finished.
  7. I should have another certificate coming. I sort of hate to use it for a 42 since its cheaper than the other models but, 1) I can't find a 42 locally 2) I won't have to screw around selling the certificate just to turn around and find the gun in stock somewhere. So I'll probably send in for a 42 and practice up since I'll be bumped to master class for the next match.
  8. I have a set up with Ghost mag pouches. I can't seem to find anyone selling spacers for single stack mags in them. I'm curious if I'm able to use the spacers available for the CR Speed pouches in my Ghost pouches but I can't find any dimensions on them. I'd rather have a good idea if they will work or not before I bother with ordering them. http://www.powerfactorshooting.com/Cr_Speed_1911_Magazine_Spacer_5_pack_p/cr-speed-1911-spacer.htm http://www.shootersconnectionstore.com/CR-Speed-1911-Magazine-Pouch-Spacer-P2114.aspx Thanks
  9. They were 147gr blue bullets at around 900fps. I was not expecting three of them to be touching.
  10. I meant if you tried one of the #1 blocks, and how they measure compared to the NOS or the #2 blocks. I'm wondering if mine isn't more loose than it should be. I need to switch the blocks in my new 17 (#2) with the one in my 34 and try it. The 34 has a lot of rounds through it (I estimate about 6500 at this point). I put the #2 in it but I didn't notice it feeling any different than the other frame. (I would also think the frame would be more responsible for the feeling of how tight the pins are than the locking block itself). Tonight, I put five rounds on paper to check my new sights on my 34. From 25 yards I had three of the rounds touching, then one about four inches low and right and one four inches low and left.
  11. The gen four is reversible, not ambidextrous. The SF did come with ambidextrous mag release (button on both sides) the first couple years it was out but they had problems, because the assembly would fall out if a full mag was locked in (at least that's what happened to mine). That is why the magazines had the notch on the front of them for awhile.
  12. Did you mess with the new ones yet?
  13. I got logged in but it doesn't appear like I'm able to post. I was pretty underwhelmed with the amount of posts here. Even if it is the official forum, this place has way more relevant traffic.
  14. I also haven't received the authentication email.
  15. I didn't even know there was on until very recently. eta-- The registration is flawed. The question "What are one of the two natural enemies of firearms?" and it didn't take my answer as "Democrats".
  16. I need to get one of these, I'm tired to being limited to two pounds at a time with my little tumbler.
  17. I read that... Production had two GMs in the top 20... I've seen previous years that it counted but not all years.
  18. Will our match percentage count as a classification score?
  19. As a Square Deal B owner, I agree with this.
  20. You didn't bend the connector did you? It should stick out from the trigger housing, it shouldn't be flush.
  21. Welcome. I got into GSSF last year and just started shooting USPSA in November. I've been going mostly to Miamisburg but I'm trying to get around to the other clubs as well. It sure is addicting!

It was the second stage we shot and I didn't know the order yet, so when I was told it was my turn I was caught off guard. Learning experience it is!

I will make it to at least one match at MRPC this year. I always watch whatever videos people put on Youtube and they always look fun. I will be donating to throw some shots at it. I watch Alex Gutt's video and it looked like he had essentially the same plan I did, only he hit the damn thing

No, I could have started with 11 but didn't. I didn't know I was next and instead of getting ready I was pasting targets. That only happened once! What bothers me on that one is despite the 1) the slide lock load, and 2) shooting the last target twice, I still finished 7th. If I had three less seconds on there it would have been a smoking time.
