  1. I've been surfing on here for awhile now. I had a buddy invite me to try out a USPSA practice match last month and I've been pretty hooked ever since. I joined USPSA as a well as been spending way too much time here. I'm going to another practice match tomorrow night and am planning on shooting my first club match next month. I don't know why I waited so long to get into competition shooting but I started with Glock Sport Shooting matches earlier this year and was happy with the way I progressed, and I'm excited about getting more involved next year. I've recognized a name or two on here from the Miamisburg Sportsmans club match results, that's where I'll be.
  2. Nice. I've been liking WST in 9mm, but I've not yet tried with 147gr bullets. It may or may not be due to it being one of the only powders that is plentiful at my LGS.
  3. I'd be tempted by the 135gr if I could get a good quantity of them. Working my way up to a max load.
  4. With a comp, wouldn't it be better to use lighter bullets with a higher charge of powder? More powder = more gas = comp works better That's just a guess on my part.

    WST in 9mm

I've been shooting 4.8 grains under a 115gr bullet (both FMJ and later Berry's plated) for the last few months. They have been working great.

The SDB's primer catcher is a PITA because you get spent primers flying everywhere. A very simple fix involves taking a 38 Special brass case, some flexible plastic tubing to fit over the case, washers for shims, drill and bits. Start by drilling out the primer pocket in the case - deburr as required. Remove the Spent Primer Cup bracket (17212), drop the case into the spent primer hole (from the top), add washers (as shims) to the thickness of the 38 Special rim and then reinstall the bracket. Slip the tube onto the case (from under the press) and route as requiredplacing end into a 1 gallon jug. I have 4 presses to do but I only thought of this a couple of days ago plus I'm not at home. Now a couple of pictures. Holy crap... I love this idea. Will be in search of some tubing to fit a 38 case ASAP.
  7. All the other posts I've seen about a possible "G40" say it's been skipped due to confusion with the other .40 caliber models, but it was all guessing. A friend of mine just went through the armorers course and the instructor said there would be two models at SHOT show, so that would seem to indicate that "G40" got skipped.
  8. This thread is the first I've heard of the G40 being a 10mm. I really really hope that is the case!
