  1. I will... it's not on there yet. It also won't apply to 200gr .45's or 95 grain .380's.
  2. Damn... I guess I should stock up for the year.
  3. You can damage the frame by battering the locking block pin with too light of a recoil spring.
  4. I prefer the gen 4 for the larger mag release, slightly smaller grip, and the texture. I do think it is easier to get a better trigger pull with the gen 3 guns, though.
  5. I just got through 2,000 loaded with 3.0 grains, 147gr Blue Bullet (which actually weighs 149 according to my scale). I shot a few matches with them and never had to hit a popper more than once. I'm teetering in the middle between 3.0 and 3.1... 10 charges weigh in at 30.4 for my next couple thousand... just in case. They make about 126 PF in my sub compact Glock, IIRC 136 PF in my Glock 34.
  6. I use the magnet for spilled pins, not to move them around.
  7. They have better support than the older ones, but I don't know that they can be considered "fully".
  8. I know complete LE departments that likely don't total up to the number of rounds through all of their guns as he does through his main one or two. I agree completely! Our department has around 50 certified and I know we don't go through 10,000 rounds a year.... Doubt we go through 5k. I'd estimate that 3/4 of my department do not fire their weapons outside of our qualifications and limited training. And that number is optimistic.

  10. I don't have a spacer... if I had the spacer, that would have been easy to try.
  11. No. I need new sights on my 1911 and it got put on the back burner for awhile.
  12. I love the range even though I've only been there for GSSF. I'm hoping to attend this one, it sounds awesome.
  13. I think something got adjusted on this one. My run was 12.8686 HF, which classifiercalc gave a 77% for Production (though playing with the calculator it didn't look like there was a difference) USPSA updated today and gave me an 86.2652%.
  14. To answer the question. .. Most of the time, my routine is as follows: G34 (USPSA gun) -Most of the time: not clean it at all -Prior to club match if it's really dirty; boresnake, light oil on slide rails and connector. -Light cleaning, every few months; Field strip, knock the crud off of the internals, brush out the barrel. -Full clean; twice in three years, full detail strip and clean. I'm close to another full detail strip since I'm done with matches for the year and I want to try to improve my trigger. I've also passed 10k rounds through the gun now. Carry gun (G19 on duty, G 22 on duty) I'll field strip and wipe down, as well as pull a boresnake through it. G22 gets used a shot or two at a time here and there for putting down deer, I don't worry about cleaning it each time. Actually whenever I do clean it, something happens in the atmosphere to cause a deer to get hit by a car and me to have to shoot it, so I try to avoid cleaning that one.
  15. Regular dry fire practice makes mine look like I've done this.
  16. I've got more with Bullseye powder but not on my photobucket.
  17. 6.2 gr 115gr with Power Pistol is my old training load to simulate SD ammunition. IIRC they were moving 1280fps out of my Glock 34.

Last match of the year, which should bump me to A class. I need to get more confident shooting the partials faster... I could have hosed through some of them much faster with that distance but the no shoots really make me cautious. http://youtu.be/s5k1BdwB3hY

I've been slacking on updating this thing. Shot a GSSF match over the weekend and should have finished well enough to win my next gun, a gen 4 Glock 35. The plates started off sloppy but came around...
  20. I had better accuracy with the round nose 147gr over the flat point. 15 yards rested the difference was noticeable.
  21. Here's my data from a stock Glock 22 (4.48" bbl) 200g Blue Bullet .40 S&W mixed cases CCI primer 2.7gr of Red Dot powder Average 707 fps 141pf 3.8 gr of Red dot powder Average 858fps 171pf Note the barrel length... I think a Glock 35 would be much faster with an extra 3/4" of barrel.
  22. I can't get enough of the; 9mm 147gr round nose .40 200gr round nose .45 230gr round nose I'm on my first case of .380 95gr as well. I won't go back to plated or lead.
