  1. 5-6 weeks, then another six weeks + if you win a gun.

    The 380 ACP is evil

Or separate them and sell them on here.
  3. If I want to decap first, I'll take the dies out of my machine and run the brass through, only decapping them. However, I just leave the primers in. When I get them out of the tumbler, I rinse them out with hot water, then I'll either stick them on the mantel over the fireplace or in the oven for a few minutes at 240-250 degrees to dry them out. I haven't had a broken primer stuck in the pocket yet, and I've been wet tumbling for about a year now.
  4. GSSF really got me started with "shooting a timer", which then in turn got me into USPSA. I work a local match and I've traveled around to some of the others over the last couple of years. The local one is a great way to scrounge brass... I had almost a five gallon bucket full after the match this spring. I'm also waiting on my prize gun from the last match. GSSF isn't an impatient man's game.
  5. LOL ... at least you're honest.
  6. I have a keg of Red Dot and was hoping to try it out for some major with 200gr bullets. I have loaded quite a few minor loads with it, but I worked my way down from the starting load to see what the minimum charge that would function with my gun (Glock 22). I was trying to get a nice soft load that would function, I wasn't worried about power factor. I'm thinking the loads I started with were pretty close to major.
  7. Personally, I decided to start with Production figuring that the limited mag capacity would force me to get faster on my reloads, minor scoring would force me to concentrate on accuracy, and the heavier trigger would force me to learn to deal with it. I try to keep up with the Limited shooters in the combined results. I figured I'd eventually jump over to Limited. Maybe this line of thinking is good... or maybe it isn't. I'm having fun either way.
  8. ^^^^ This right here. It fits on upside down but the hole is off center.
  9. I used to throw it away so it didn't get mixed in my 9mm. I hate to think of how many .380 cases I have tossed.
  10. This is what I do as well, it works great.
  11. I was going to say I learned to ride the reset a long time ago and gradually got faster at it, but I haven't exactly seen a slow motion video of me firing, so for all I know I do exactly what is described here. My splits are pretty decent for a Glock trigger, when doing Bill Drills it's not uncommon to see some .15's and .16's. I've had a couple of .14's and ONE time I saw a .13.
  12. They do it all by weight. The heavier the bullet, the less of them there are.

I've been dry firing quite a bit the last couple weeks. I did some live fire drills today... I didn't have a whole lot of time so I worked on "Frank Garcia's Dots" and "4 Aces". I KILLED my previous times on 4 aces. I wish I would have written down the particulars. The last time I live fired it I was doing my best with a sub second draw and 1.1x reloads, most around 1.2 if I didn't flub them. I had several today with the first shot under .90 and a few of the reloads under a second. This was the best of the day, and I nearly shat myself: .94 draw and .91 reload. (The date was never set, so ignore that). The last split was a .16 I think, total time 2.19.

  15. +1 I have a pile of blue bullet bases under my steel plates with the coating still on them.
  16. I broke one of the arms that attaches to the handle... Sounds like it might be the same part. I was amazed how much easier it was to cycle after being rebuilt. I also lightly lube the mouth of the cases before putting them in the press now.
  17. They had my SDB for about a week and a half.
  18. I like the 30 cal military ammo cans. The 50 cal cans are handy but are really heavy when full.
  19. Those are the only two I listen to. Never miss an episode of either one. The first one of Anderson's I heard I thought I had the wrong show since all he was talking about was Van Halen and dogs but I'm glad I hung on a little longer.
  20. I'll get around to it eventually, I do have a chrono, and really no excuse for not shooting some of the loads over it at this point. Part of the reason I haven't is that I was loading them for GSSF matches, not USPSA, so I wasn't concerned with a power factor. Now I'm curious how close I am to major.
  21. I'm using it for 200gr bullets, but I'm not pushing them to major (at least not yet). It will function a stock Glock 22 down to 2.5 grains of Red Dot, and I've loaded as high as 3.8 but I'm not sure of the velocity.
  22. I had to claim $1250 income from Glock last year so I'm saving every reciept for ammo, parts, etc (haven't even bought a gun this year, just parts and components). I am scared to add it up at this point.
  23. I traveled a couple hours away from home and ended up getting two 8 pound kegs at some local gun stores across the state. I should be good for 20-25,000 rounds.

    AJE's thread

Match from this weekend I didn't feel quite as smooth on this one as I did the match last weekend. I threw an alpha/mike/no shoot on the first array and couldn't shake it from my head the rest of the match. I made up at least one shot on the rest of the stages through the day, all but maybe one of which I didn't need to. Still, I finished fourth overall on the combined results behind two GMs in open, so I'm not disappointed by any means, but I know I could have done better. I did well enough I still managed to win Production out of 34 people, so I'm still very happy. Now... time for more dry fire!
