  1. No experience with that one. Curious about it as well. I think the coda evolution ones are pretty cool and are 8oz. Planning on a new build using one this winter. https://codaevolution.com/collections/handguards Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  2. Lol. Physique is definitely a better term. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  3. And backing up. Particularly with your weak side leading up range. Just had a stage like this. Had to treat it like a pistol and keep it down range while I ran up. Other than that YMMV for sure. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  4. I dont think there's an answer that is right here. I will say that I don't see any top PCC shooters. (max, froelich) shooting ultra light weight guns, and that gun weight is over thought. I feel you should be able to one hand the gun when running if need be. What that looks like for anyone is dependent on their personal physics. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  5. Taccom extreme. I believe the Faxxon and Taccom are the same bolt. Taccom coats theirs and changes the gas key which is recommended. The nickel boron coating is nice. I have well over 20k rounds on mine and it's not as slick as it was but I think that's expected. Still much easier to clean. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  6. Currently 147 blue bullets with Titegroup. Comp does get dirty with coated, but I'm trying sport pistol powder currently and it's somewhat better. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  7. Use the uspsa calculator. It's on the classifications page after you login to USPSA. Yes, HHF were updated a while back. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  8. Leans are tough, and they will burn you if you don't plan for them. Many is the time I thought. "I can make it", only to find I in fact could not make it! OR to see wood flying as I shoot through a wall. Now I walk leans on stages holding my strong arm extended with my offhand like it's a muzzle. It's not a prop, so it's legal per USPSA. Helps somewhat in gauging the situation. Have fun!
  9. I've never seen the need for one in USPSA. There are some tough weak side leans at times, but these can be negotiated with the following techniques. (eye problem not withstanding). 1. Go weak hand, weak shoulder. Sucks 2. Go weak shoulder, strong hand. Pull your off hand to the magwell. Less sucky 3. Stay strong shoulder, and pull your off hand to the magwell. You will gain a few inches. Preferred 4. Go sideways and just turn your head. 5. Try using a laser and practice holding the gun off your shoulder for the shot. Hokey, but can be used on short distance leans. I just shove my muzzle around the wall. #2 and #3 and #4 will get you far. Far be it from me to suggest not buying more toys though! However, I don't think an offset optic will solve really tough leans.
  10. I'd recommend you don't bother. You'll get further with a soft charge than a comp. I added a comp, and now I just have more stuff to clean. If you are dead set on it. I would look at coda evolution. https://codaevolution.com/collections/compensators/products/fury-titanium-compensator-9mm-flame-anodised
  11. I really enjoy what little I have done, but you are correct. That dot traverse both sides of the horizontal axis. I actually catch it on the way back up as opposed on the way down. Very challenging.
  12. Fair enough. I'm assuming everyone in CO is fighting the same battle. I haven't spent enough time with it to know much. It's my plan for when we come inside for the winter.
  13. I figured as much. I'm curious how much an 8lb recoil spring would help, and if it would beat up the slide too much.
  14. Sounds like you have something that works, but want another toy that you won't have to mess with and just enjoy. JP would be good. You'll get support. They are heavy though...
  15. I take mine off because with the 45 I am concerned it will get broken or unintentionally turned on in the bag. I'd prefer to mount it in front of the CMORE. It does clear the glass of the dot, but it doesn't always clear my weak hand thumb. If I had a different rail I would leave it installed. As far as sighting.... I sighted it in using the attachment piece. As long as I attach back the same way it has never been an issue. Lasers are overrated really. I do find it useful for index shooting as I run by a target. I can shoulder the rifle and just look at the target. Good point on the USPSA rules. I doubt many care for a club match, but a level 2 and above it's probably wise to get clarification.
  16. I run mine using a 2inch 45 deg. offset off the receiver rail because I have a carbon fiber tube for a handguard and not an mlok or keymod rail. I take it off and on as needed. It's rarely needed, but lately I play with it a lot. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  17. Absolutely. His Czechmate was like shooting my PCC in comparison. The dot barely rose and then fell back into the POA. With my Shadow, the dot rises, then falls below horizontal and the comes back again. I'm generally catching it as it comes back up. I'm still not sure if that's what slide mounted optics do or if I need to tune the gun better.
  18. I shot my friend's recently. The dot barely moved as it's frame mounted. I was comparing my shadow CO gun where the dot traverses up and down quite a bit
  19. It's like anything in shooting. You think you want to dabble, and you buy in cheap, get hooked, and realize you wasted your first purchase. Buying a pre-built brand usually ends up with what Sarge said. Replacing almost everything. Start with a good lower like the QC10 and build from there.
  20. I would check that your ejector is property mated to the bolt. If it's hanging or rubbing too much you may need to bend it a bit. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  21. This. I generally use red only where I can safely apply a flame to remove it without burning or melting something.
  22. An Accu Shadow has a barrel bushing installed. There is no particular load required. The bushing is a mechanical improvment to eliminate barrel movement and produce tighter groups. That being said, any of these guns will be plenty accurate. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
  23. ZRTS is a local to me. They do good work, and are a reputable shop. I haven't seen one of their new lowers in person yet.
  24. Mine hung up at 35 as well. The smack technique seemed to cure it. I also used a polishing wheel on the Dremel to chamfer the hard inside edge on the back of the mag. 21 coil spring is what comes with this kit. I suspect the Taccom or MBX will work for replacement.
