  1. Mine did. Requires RN profile. My psa lower was an nfa. They switch the lowers they sell from time to time. I had to use taccom feed ramp for hi cap mags as well. This was before the ramped barrel offering.
  2. If you have a smart phone the slow motion camera modes could be helpful diagnosing stuff like this. Get someone to video the action while you shoot. You might be able to see what's happening.
  3. I'm a 67% Limited guy who will be sitting about 90% after the last match results are posted. I got there in 5 months. I didn't cherry pick anything. I just shot what was presented to me. I just feel that some classifiers SO skewed that it needs addressed. Not a little skewed. Really skewed. Perhaps I am wrong and my skill level increased quite a bit after a full season of PCC, but I think not. I think some changes need made now. PCC is drawing lots of people in, and I think it's great. I just don't want to see GM or M lose meaning over some mal-adjusted classifier scores.
  4. As pointed out, there are issues in all divisions. However, PCC is by far the worst. Perhaps I'm missing something, but in the examples given the shooter getting 100+% was still an A class guy? Meaning, yes, skewed, but likely still not obtainable by someone in C? In PCC this is not the case. I gave a lot of thought. If it were my perfect world, I would reset PCC to U after the provisional period. Everyone would then fall to their highest achievement in pistol, and anyone should be able to re-classify in PCC. I would also disconnect the two.
  5. Perhaps I put too much stock in class, but I think the whole thing is a bit of shame. There are plenty of un-deserving pistol M/GM's I'm sure, but for the most part when you shoot with someone at that level you can generally expect to learn quite a bit. I've always had respect for the time they've put in and what they've learned. With the PCC thing now there's going to be an asterisk of PCCM/PCCGM. Most of my buddies chuckle when I say M in PCC, and I chuckle along with them. Perhaps they will fix it, but I suspect the damage is done. The logisitics of backing people out of classifications is likely a technical and administrative nightmare!
  6. Agreed on all counts, but I do think it's important to have integrity in the classification system for those who wish to compete seriously. The classic argument was always about sand-baggers staying low in class to finish well at majors. This certainly isn't going to let anyone sandbag, but it also can dilute the classes and make the accomplishments meaningless to those who worked hard. i.e someone worked their butt off to get a M in limited, and here comes a guy like me snagging an M card from shooting PCC. Now M pistol class gets an asterisk of "oh, got it from PCC". I realize this is all just a hobby for most, and really shouldn't matter. I just hate to see any sort integrity of the sport sacrificed due to some math issues. I think the best solution is to disconnect pistol and rifle classifications as you said.
  7. When I started PCC back in April I was a 65% Limited guy (and practicing a lot and rising). I hit 86% in September, and I'm now soon to be 90% in PCC. I practiced quite a bit over the last season, but I don't feel that it's a just score because the classifiers are so skewed. I hundo'd Fluffy's 2 and hit a 96 on Roscoe Rattle. Not a major achievement with a rifle and no up-range start. In fact, this past weekend a first time PCC shooter (an M production guy) hundo'd Roscoe. I want to shoot. I don't want to tank classifiers to avoid moving up, but I feel a bit silly with the M classification, let alone the prospect of hitting GM the next time some match runs a skewed classifer. I am alone on this? Doesn't it seem like the classification system might be compromised? Run the right classifiers and make GM?! And what about the relation of PCC to pistol classification? Anyone think the classifications are equivalent? Interested on fellow PCC shooter's thoughts on this. Also. Sorry for the non-technical post, but this is where the PCC crowd hangs out.
  8. Obviously, JP makes an incredible rifle. However, it is expensive, and I think an argument can be made that it's overkill for USPSA. Also, they're pretty heavy. If you like to dry fire and practice a lot you may find a heavy PCC wears on the elbows pretty quickly. I personally love my Taccom ULW built on a QC10 lower, and it afforded me the opportunity to have more free cash to experiment and customize than a JP. I do pretty well with it, but it's not any sort of competitive advantage. Decent shooters can do well with any PCC that runs. If you have the money to spend on a JP you might also investigate the Sig MPX. Competitors do very well with these guns and claim they are super soft shooting because they are not blowback guns. However, they are quite expensive after you add up all you need to get it competition ready.
  9. I've had more than one break on me. Pretty much realized it's a part you need to carry. Also have had the springs break so I carry those as well. Why they break? I gave up trying to figure it out. This goes for the pistol type extractors too. Get an extra and fit it so you can swap it out when it breaks on the range.
  10. Chamber a few and eject and inspect. I cannot run FP profiles. It completely gouges the edge of the FP and sets the bullet back a great deal.
  11. Upon closer inspection... The QC ejector with the Spinta bolt.... There is a gap between the ejector and the inside of the ejector groove on the bolt. With the PSA bolt it fits nice and snug without dragging. I can't be sure, but I suspect there is enough play there for the ejector to not get good contact with the case. Bending the ejector slightly would help, but would probably interfere with the other bolt.
  12. I use the Taccom adjustable buffer system. It seems well past the point of ejection, but your idea is noted. I will check it.
  13. QC ejectors have a lot of wiggle by design. Since posting this I have called them and they suggested bending it slightly towards the right. I do plan on tightening the extractor a bit. This bolt has less than 1000 rounds on it, and the extractor is in good shape.
  14. Hey all. QC 10 GSF Lower with a Spinta bolt. I've had 2 issues where the round doesn't eject. Extractor pulled it out of the chamber because the next round loaded in while the empty case went vertical and yesterday even got wedged somehow in the bolt yesterday. It creates quite a mess. With the PSA bolt I haven't had this issue. Best guess is the Spinta bolt has a little different ejector groove that the QC ejector is missing somehow on occasion OR perhaps the extractor tension is too light? As in the round is falling out of the extractor after being pulled out of the chamber, but before hitting the ejector (seems unlikley). Anyone been through this?
  15. Yup. That's stepped brass. It's an issue with PCC as well as open guns. The only solution is to weed out the headstamps. IMT, FM, AMMOLAND. Search stepped brass on this forum and you will find out more.
  16. Post a picture so we can see what you mean. "Case blowout" could mean different things.
  17. Ive had this happen a few times. Below is my thread from when it happened to me. I used a dental pick to pull it out. I've also had to send my barrel back to PSA for replacement as it allowed another round to fire when the brass was stuck in the barrel.
  18. Before I state this I want to clarify that I didn't polish or touch the trigger... Clarifying due to the above questions I asked not too long ago in the above comments. I love this trigger and a little grease as instructed and about 1K rounds have really brought it around. Tonight I had a double. Just one. In the last 300 rounds I've had an issue maybe 5-6 times where after firing a round the trigger won't fire the next round. One would think it didn't reset except that it will fire after flipping the safety on and back off. So obviously it had to have reset. My plan is to just reinstall the safety set screw, but I'm a little curious as to how that might be an issue. As far as the double. I'm not sure what caused. It's the only one I have experienced. Using the yellow springs. Perhaps a bump fire? The manual discusses this briefly. Thoughts?!
  19. Barrel length is a huge factor in this question. Taccom ULW upper (7" barrel). 3.6 behind SNS 124 = ~1080 FPS. My PSA 16" barrel 3.1 behind SNS 147 = ~1080 FPS
  20. I feel like Rodney Dangerfield. Can't get no respect at all with a pcc. We get a lot of "shooting rifles in pistol matches is stupid" or "why can't there just be pcc matches". Or "it's dumb because it easier" Guys need to be happy people show up to let the sport continue and let it grow.
  21. I've got a hiperfire 24c and JP. I personally like the JP right now. The reset and and glass like break on it are awesome. The Hiperfire is a little softer (and older). I can feel the springs in it when I use it vs. the JP which is more like a 1911 to me. Can't go wrong with either.
  22. Anyone encountering issues in their area with locals not being pleased about this division? Old timers griping about rifles in pistol sports? or people saying its so much easier that guys are bumping up or people worried about safety of flagged guns? I would like to hear your thoughts on the classifiers. Do you feel they are too skewed?
  23. Thanks, I suspected that a little love would make even better. Also figured since they want $200+ to install it that they put some more time into it. This is the answer I was looking for =)
  24. The whole armageddon roller trigger kit. Yellow springs. I'm very satisfied. I just wondered if people polished them up or if they needed it.
