Are you thinking that said range owner honestly thinks that a person 'running around with rifle' is more likely to send a round over a berm than an equivalent person 'running around with a handgun'? Not following here. The thought process that I've encountered was that a pistol round goes yada yada feet that is within their property/control area and a rifle round travels yada yada feet that is well outside of their property/control area and can enter a neighboring home etc and their insurance simply doesn't cover such and such weapons used in a specific way. Most likely due to people running around with the rifles are more likely to send a rifle round over a berm(edit: into an adjacent property whereas a pistol round may not travel as far). Several ranges have this same rule due to their proximity to neighboring homes. PCC is no different than pistols in that regard so maybe if that's explained we can play. As for start positions having to be altered, PCC will be it's own division so that's not a big deal either. The stage designs won't have to change at all, the WSB will need to include a start position for the PCC and that should cover it. Jon

I'll agree that it does get easier with experience. For the most part, the more experienced shooters are going to plan similar runs through a stage so it doesn't hurt to watch them and try to figure out why they chose a certain path. Just be sure to watch someone shooting the same division as you. A L10, SS or Prod shooter would plan a completely different run than an Open shooter would. Also, do NOT change your plan right before you shoot. If the shooter before you burns it down with a completely different plan than yours I wouldn't change if I were you. You need to burn your plan in and be able to go over it while they are reseting your stage. Also, consider the fact that sometimes you may go to war with a piece of steel and possibly change your reload points. Again, more experience will make this easier to manage but you'll still have moments of complete confusion every now and then.

I wish that were true. Even for the areas that are in a supposed drought! The slit in the side of the plastic bag seems like a really good idea, would help with the drooping heads also Jon

MGM is hard to beat for any type steel target and I don't think any steel target company gives back to the sport more than MGM. With that being said, hope you plan to bring a couple friends to help reset the star because as you probably know, repeatedly bending and picking up those plates will wear you down pretty quickly. Why not make it a side match for cash payout and gauge interest? Would be perfect for the half day major format.

I love Glocks and also think I shoot my 35 better than my STI but I'll never forget when my 35's trigger wouldn't reset on it's own and had to switch to my STI as a backup at a major. Is there a reason you want to shoot the 34 over something like a 35? Jon

The gun has maybe 1k rounds through it and it's been a flawless 1k rounds. The only thing that has changed recently was that today was it's first time shooting a 3" Prairie Storm #6 load but the malfs were happening with Estate birdshot. The only time I run Estate is in practice.

Ok, so I noticed today a few times a loaded shell would fall from the gun while it cycled. I can't say if they're coming out of the ejection port or the loading port but it doesn't interfere with the cycling at all. Anyway, has anyone had this issue and what is the fix?

Stay on top of them, I had some warranty issues awhile back and had to go through a distributor to get it handled because they wouldn't call me back.
