  1. WWB is notorious for having issues. It's not all the time so when you get a bad box or something it's a surprise. I would switch it to something with a better track record and a little hotter. Just my 2 cents and I hope you get the issue worked out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Sig or CZ with 15+1 and an extra 17 round mag most of the time. Hot weather casual Walther PPS with 7+1 and an extra 8 round mag. I live in a high crime area with lots of gang activity. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I put a set of calipers on it. You're right they are pretty close but my P226 grip is flat on the sides and the new X Grips are flat too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Yeah that's what I am thinking too. [emoji41] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Thanks a bunch! It could get expensive getting milling done. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Thanks, The rules say that the optic has to be directly attached to the slide. Does anyone know if this includes dovetail mounts? Great thread [emoji1303] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I shot IDPA for a year but had to take a break due to a bad car accident. I'm older and beat up physically so I don't want to deal with the stupid IDPA gun restrictions. I'm going to give USPSA a try and my favorite guns to shoot at SAO CZS or Tanfoglios. I want to use a RDS because the eyes are getting older. I'm thinking about Carry Optics. I got into the guns later in life. I was into offshore fishing big time but had to move to the desert and quickly got into guns after an incident where I was looking at the wrong side of one. My goal is to challenge myself and get as good as I can while having fun. I'm not sure yet which guns are legal for carry optics besides the popular striker fired handguns. 8. Thanks, I was fortunate enough to be able to shoot the X Series and really liked the grip. I hope that they will be available as parts and not just attached to the new guns though I definitely want one. The regular P320 grip is too round IMO which is a departure from the original P Series guns. I guess I will have to spend more hours on the range with both sizes. Fortunately it's a fast change. 9. Thanks, I didn't know that they did it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I have more space for my support hand too. Hardly any with the medium but I can even get a grip on the trigger guard which should tell me something. Time to get some grip tape on the large or get a stippled one so the slick upper grip won't move. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I remember that Max had a video on determining the correct grip size for your hands but I can't find it. How are people determining what size they use? I have XL wide hands but my fingers are only large in length. I have both a medium and large but without grip tape on both it's hard to tell which size I can stabilize the best. 12. I'm glad they came out with the grip tape for the Compact too. Great stuff [emoji1303] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Do you guys have a good shop for milling the P320 slide? I couldn't find the 320 Compact RX for sale and want a RDS on my carry gun. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Nice! I like the VP9 more than the PPQ because it just fits my hands perfectly and the trigger good. I would prefer an American style mag realize because it's a subconscious manipulation after all of these years but I am sure HK will stick with their style. Aftermarket springs and guide rod options would be great.
  15. Where did you get the springs? I'm building one up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. The trigger on the P320 X Five is a factory trigger. This keeps the price down and you can add the GGI trigger and action kit if you want to trick it out. I talked to them at Sig Range Day at SHOT Show. GGI is planning on releasing the action kit too but it can require some fitting as the people have found out with the new trigger. 17. The Grayguns staff showed me their drop in curved and flat triggers. The kit was there but the technical details about sear faces etc was over my head. It's supposed to speed up their in house trigger enhancements. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. They only gave me a few rounds to shoot it but I liked it a lot. Since there is no plastic safety tab and it's short and crisp it feels very single action. It's supposed to have a MSRP of $1000 and retail from $800-$900. People will have to decide for themselves if they think it's going to be an improvement on what they run. I have never shot a polymer striker fired gun in the $850 range that was anything like it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I shot the P320 XFIVE yesterday. All I have to say is wow! I never thought a polymer striker fired gun would feel like a high end steel competition gun. It doesn't move under recoil and the grip feels just right in the hand. The bull barrel really keeps the front end down. Game changer IMO.
  20. I am going to handle it at Shot. I'm finally going to put in the time on a striker carry gun after many years of hammer fired.

    Shooting with music.

While I am no sports psychologist and only a lowly Masters Level professional in the field I find that music raises my mood, endorphins, attention etc. Of course it should be used wisely and not substituted for learning how to detach or get in the zone under, whatever you want to call your Zen type experience under stress of competition. Doing dry reps in the garage is different than live fire etc. Just my 2 cents, your results may vary.
  22. Definitely! I finally sighted mine and needed to adjust the front sight to the next available height. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I really like the new backstrap and frontstrap on the 2. It looks like it's as nice as the Tanfo Extreme. I'm hoping they are in stock early next year when I plan on upgrading. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
