  1. Handled one at the Shot Show but have not fired one. Feels good in my hands. For a striker fired pistol the trigger is pretty good.
  2. My wife and I are running that load in our Gen-4 34's with the factory RSA. No cycling issues at all. The recipe came from a friend that has been shooting it in Production class for years. We have been practicing with it and shot our first match with it last week. No issues. It runs very well and a very soft recoil. It has no problem taking the big poppers. My OAL is 1.15 which is about the max that a Glock can feed.
  3. On my Gen-4 I started with the Warren rear and .215 front. I have since changed to a .205 front and like it much better.
  4. Why not try to eliminate all possible problems. If you shoot your 35 well and suspect you 34 barrel of being bad why not try it in the 35? It's a drop in fit and use your 9mm mags. Myself when I am diagnosing a problem I try to eliminate all possible variables.
  5. Maybe try your 34 barrel in your 35?
  6. New to loading and so far have run about 2500 rounds of 9mm through my 650. Twice now I have had primers get stuck in the pick up tube. I am very careful and all primers are orientated the same direct. When I go to add them to the machine I pull the safety pin and all drop into the press except 1-2. I used the plastic follower rod and insert it into the yellow end of the pick up tube. Most of the time it drops right through. Two time now I have had it stop and not chase the remaining primers. Looking through the pick up tube I can see the primer stuck in the tube. What am I doing wrong? How do you get the stuck primer out?
  7. I don't have any pics. If you are at Albany next weekend you can see it in person. I basically sanded of the lower "clip" on the backstrap which created enough clearance for the magwell. With the magwell secured in place it keeps the backstrap tight. Bring your backstrap and I can show you what to remove. Very easy fix.
  8. Try shooting the 34 off of a rest at the longer distance to verify your zero. Also what are you using for ammo. Is it a light load to make minor? Bullet weight?
  9. Welcome fellow TCGC member. I second the Albany USPSA matches. They put on some great matches. As does Dundee on the 4th Saturday of the month.
  10. I have the Zev aluminum on both my Gen-4 34's. They can work with the backstraps. If you remove a little material off of the bottom of the backstrap the magwell fits just fine. I am using the medium beavertail backstrap with the magwell on both guns.
  11. Last year I shot a USPSA match that had a 1 round stage. Draw form holster to a popper placed at 80 yards. Stage winner did it in 2.03. I was 3.11.
  12. My local club has similar rules regarding muzzle angle. I found that if I keep the gun raised at eye level I become much more aware of the angle. At eye level you also have clear vision on the magwell which should help speed up your reloads.
  13. For a minor PF load I am using 3.4gr of Bullseye behind a 147gr MG bullet.
  14. Take a look at the Sig 1911's. A lot of gun for the money. I have a Match Elite and out of the box it was pretty good. A competition trigger job and a new front sight and now it's great. They just came out with a Max Michel edition that is pretty well dialed in out of the box.
  15. Limited typically has the most competitors. Revolver would be the most difficult to master. I started and currently shooting Limited minor. I think it is the easiest class to start in but the toughest class to be competitive. Fewer reloads and favorable gear position is a huge help for new shooters.
  16. Check out the new Sig X-Series. They are modular and user friendly to upgrade or downgrade.
  17. 180gr bullet in theory needs to be at 917fps to make 165pf. 944fps would give you a nice cushion.
  18. Find some local matches and watch both. I shot one USPSA match then found a local IDPA match and went out and just watched. For me I didn't find IDPA to be near as exciting. Been shooting USPSA since.
  19. It's likely the spring rattling in either the follower or base pad. I have a couple of dozen 9mm Glock mags. Some rattle some don't. None have given me any trouble.
  20. Use the mags. Don't just load them and store them. My G30 would not take 10 rounds until I started using the mags. Now 10 is no problem. They need exercise. lol
  21. Personally I wouldn't run plain lead in the stock barrel. You could likely get away with molly coated lead though.
