  1. One issue I am having with Practiscore results. I can see/find where I placed at each stage but no information on my times, huts, etc. When I go to look up individual results I plug in my USPSA number but nothing happens. Any help?
  2. I am shooting Limited Minor. New to the sport and already owned a Glock 34 so I am running what I had. Now that I have been competing for about 8 months I am wanting to upgrade to Major. I am a solid "C" shooter (real "C" not a sand bagger). Last match I broke down my hits and realized I gave up 44 points by shooting minor.
  3. Shot a local match today at our home and what do we see? Practiscore! First time using it. Pretty slick system once you get the hang of it. Results were up before we could get our gear in the car. We were quite surprised to see our club had bucked up for iPads and the system.
  4. USPSA & IDPA are two of the most popular. Steel challenge is a great way to get your feet wet. USPSA isn't as intimidating as it may look. Go at your own speed and stay safe. The speed will come. My wife and I both shoot USPSA and are having a great time.
  5. For 9mm minor I really like the MG 147gr CMJ's.
  6. Did you happen to weigh them? .02 variance I am betting will lead to a fair large difference in weight. A bullet set .02 deeper in the case will have an impact on pressure.
  7. I did some N340 loads with 147gr MG CMJ's. 3.8gr of N340 was the magic number to make a 130PF with that bullet. Nice soft recoil too.
  8. Do you have an ETA and cost for the new generation X-Series?
  9. I appreciate the input. Please keep it coming. Part of what we are proposing is to replace existing worn equipment. The new gear would be for match use only. The old gear would be available to members for practice.
  10. The factory one from the G34/35 works great.
  11. We are working on revitalizing our club's action pistol matches. I am putting together a budget proposal for our BoD for new props. I am seeking input advice on which props to put on the list. Here is what I have so far. Plate Racks 2ea Texas Star 2ea Pepper Popper 12ea Small Popper 12ea Drop Turner Target 2ea Swinger Target 2ea Our club currently has 12 action bays 7 of them suited for medium to large stages. We have equipment now however is it long over due for replacement. We have plenty of walls, doors, fault lines, etc. Looking mostly for target type of props. What am I missing? I am currently looking at MGM Targets as a source of supply. Who else should I be looking at? Is the Bianchi spacing plate rack the correct version? Any and all input is appreciated.
  12. I have the conversion parts now. I bounce back and forth between large and small weekly. It has become a big enough hassle that the cost of a second machine is well worth it to me.
  13. Well the time has come to order a second 650. A couple of months ago I was brand new to loading. Now I am ordering a second press. lol. This stuff is addicting! My plan is to have one setup for small primers and one for large. That will make caliber changes so much easier.
  14. Everyone should have a G20 at least once in their life. I won a pistol at a GSSF match last year. I went with a Gen-4 G30 which is now my carry gun.
  15. I recently got in to reloading and bought a 650. I ran maybe 1k rounds before ordering a case feeder. Buy a case feeder. 3/4" plywood top to me is not enough. If you get any flex you could have issues with primer seating and inconsistent powder drops. Make sure your mount is solid with zero flex. The 650 mounted on the edge of the bench is a lot of leverage.
  16. As a USPSA shooter/loader I don't sort head stamps. I go through ammo at rate of 1k/week and have 20k rounds of brass on hand now. Not a chance I have the time to sort it. That said I do believe you would get a more consistent round if you did sort. For my purposes not sorting works just fine.
  17. I am using Dillon case gages. I gage 100% of my ammo. So far out of 10k rounds that passed the gage all have ran flawlessly.
  18. Not sure you will see any visible signs unless the case has already failed. The 9mm major failures I have seen have all been the case head separating from the body.
  19. I am a new loader using a 650. A good friend that has been loading for 40+ years has been mentoring me and getting me started. On his suggestion on position #4 I use the Dillon crimp die to remove the bell and on position #5 use the Lee die. This is for 9mm. I have run about 10k rounds using this setup and all have been flawless. Any input? Overkill?
  20. I just got a couple of lock block spares. Going to check them tonight. Thanks for the heads up.
  21. Ditto what Razorfish stated. The finished rounds look a little strange but they run great.
  22. 3.4gr or BE, 147gr MG CMJ, 1.15OAL, gets me a consistent 130-131PF.
  23. You need a longer belt for sure. I like 4-6" of overlap to insure a secure fit.
  24. I am a new loader. At this point I will not load for anyone. I do not want the possibility of something going bad. Squib, double, etc. I would feel bad if I was responsible for blowing up a gun or worse hurting someone. So far I have turned out and shot approximate 10k rounds of 9mm without a single failure. It only take one round to ruin your day.
