  2. Lots of choices, Jinn707 got the main USPSA matches, here's a few more, and those are just USPSA, here's short list with approx drive time from San Francisco: Main SF Bay Area ones: Richmond Hotshots, Richmond - 1st & 3rd Sunday (25 min) Diablo Action Pistol, Concord - 2nd Sunday (40 min) TASC, Castro Valley - 2nd and 4th Saturday (40 min) Others not far, not complete list NCPS, Sacramento - 4th Sunday (2 hr) Solano Targetmasters, Davis - 2nd Sunday (1hr 20 min) Oakdale Sportsmen, Oakdale - 3rd Sunday (2 hr) San Luis Action Pistol, San Luis Obispo, - 2nd Saturday (3hr 45 min)
  3. The S&W 929 is now on the CA handgun roster - so it's something you'll be able to get after you move here. The CZ Tactical Sports are also on roster. Anything SP01 Shadow, from base SP01 Shadow through custom and Accu probably what you want to consider for you to race, those are hardest to get/most desirable from a competition (USPSA) perspective. If you want things that are nice to have that others will want, agree on the 2011 frames, SP01 shadows, Gen 4 Glocks, etc, just go to calguns.org and check out the want to buy section to get a sense.

    Czechmates Spotted

Automatic Accuracy called to say they had a few in, I was on their wait list (forgot to remove myself from that ...), not sure how many others on the list vs how many they received.
  5. Yes, some folks get the throat reamed to allow slightly longer OAL, but you can't go crazy, the next constraint you'll hit is the mag, how long overall length can be before bullet drags in the mag, so check that also.
  6. Would you be willing to share that? I'm just smart enough to clone stuff, but not so much to create from scratch. I have the Forcht Auto Drive 1050 (stock, no VFD), it would be AWESOME to have have a way to kill power on jam state to minimize the work the clutch does for that, or the damage. Having the hall effect sensor to check for rotation -> PLC, then the PLC -> manage a relay on error for one of the sensor ports on the Forcht control panel seems like exactly what a lot of us could use. Right now power down only on low primer and low powder ... having power down also for jam would be very cool.
  7. Oh, yes, if Minor then no big deal. When I shoot my Czechmate minor for practice, steel challenge or fun, I'm pretty sure the comp is doing nothing other than providing more weight in the front end (which is still nice). I do think the porting on my shadow slide is helping slightly with reducing flip, but haven't measured or tried to optimize yet with more gassy Minor PF loads.. With the stovepipes, I'm not an expert, but between the delta point and comp, you may have slowed everything down enough on the top end that you might need a lighter recoil spring.
  8. That may not be pleasant to shoot. I have a Czechmate, with it's all steel frame and comp is much heaver than 2011. Steers slow, but much smoother to shoot than 2011 -- the 2011's I have are violent in comparison with their plastic grips. If you are going even lighter you may be solving one problem (weight of gun) at expense of another (how violent the shot feels in hand). I have a quad magna port done on a CZ shadow slide, with a red dot its my FUN open minor gun. But that is a PORT, not a compensator, depending on your load, you'll get a slight amount of flip reduction with Minor PF ammo, maybe enough to keep it flatter. But its not a compensator and isn't going to help tame the recoil of major PF ammo like a real compensator does (AFAIK).

    CZ Open

How do you like the latest version of your custom Open CZ? Can you tell a difference with the reprofiled CM comp? It looks great!
  10. Maybe you got something bad or bent. Most folks around here with CZ SP01/SP01 Shadow/Accu-Shadow are running that blade tech holster, often with the BOSS holster hanger. Both my holsters and a wide variety of CZ's in there that hasn't happened to me, or I believe to anyone I've shot with. If you can hang on to it for a day or two, perhaps you should take to your next match (Sunday?) and compare to someone else's blade-tech to see if your's is somehow bent funny compared to another persons/ If their gun mag ejects in your holster, or if your gun mag ejects in theirs, then at least you'll better know where the problem is, my thought anyway.

Here's my pair of Czechmates - both with Cheely horizontal c-more mount; one stock and with one with Mink trigger job/metal trigger/concealed hammer.

    First Open Gun

The Czechmate has a grip reduction from the factory that combined with thin aluminum grips, make it feel much more similar in the hand to Accushadow (CM a bit thicker) vs tactical sport (CM much smaller), even though its based on TS frame. The gun is fairly heavy with steel comp and full steel frame compared to 2011, with drawback of being heavier/less nimble target to target, but advantage of being less harsh than 2011 with polymer grip - lots of mass to help absorb recoil. But I imagine you can duplicate that feel a little with 2011 and heavy steel grip if you chose. All that said, if you are not already invested in CZ in terms of equipment or know how, 2011 is going to be a better platform between the two IMHO generally due to frame/gun availability, a little more flexibility loading 9mm longer (mags and barrel throat), and folks that know how to work on it. BTW, folks that shoot my Czechmate major power factor are surprised how soft it feels to shoot compared to a 2011, it's not perfectly flat, but I don't loose the dot.
  13. I love it! That may be a little big for my cart, but I will have an umbrella this summer. Sometimes it gets a little windy here, my Umbrella more or less mounted to my stroller blew over and I think bent a little falling into Max Michel at a training class on a hot day. Ooops. I picked up a smaller cheap weighted base from Target for windy days, to just put the umbrella in that, and the umbrella doesn't fall over now. To move it stage to stage takes just a second, I close the top, then load the base onto the 'footwell' of my stroller up front, then lean the umbrella into the stroller back to me, to move stage to stage.

That Cabela's listing has been there since Mid-2014 ( http://www.czfirearms.us/index.php?topic=65415.0), should call them and see if they actually have it.
  15. Can also get Akro bins from School Supply stores, or at least our carries in Red/Yellow/Blue. But its a dark blue, not Dillon Blue.

    Czechmate

not in the US, at least suggested retail price. Was $2999 in 2013 (with 2 or 1 spare barrels), $3164 earlier in 2014 with one barrel, now $3317 with no extra barrel. (I believe)

No more 'spare' barrels Originally 2 spares, my understanding, when there was worry of issues. But later only one spare barrel, and now none. You can fit the "sight tracker" barrel nut to the one barrel it ships with to change to iron sight / Limited configuration.
  18. If you ever want to part with those Short grips (black) for the CZUB magwell let me know! I'd consider trading for the short black checkered grips if you have or find those ( http://www.czub.cz/en/catalog/370-pistols/PS3P/1091-1182.aspx )
  19. There was a thread on this last year I believe, I got my short black grips from CZ-UB webstore, international ship ( http://www.shop-cz.com/grips-for-cz-75-b-cz-85-b-anodized-short-black/d-70758/) doesn't look like they are in stock right now. At some point I thought CZ-USA placed an order for this and put on their site based on folks feedback, maybe they pulled off when they ran out?
  20. The short grips are the correct one for CZ-UB magwell (for Czechmate/Tactical sport or CZ75 model of that magwell for CZ75/SP01) See first picture next to Czechmate. I have the medium grips for TS stock magwell and they are longer than the short grip (silver peeking from below the short).

M14x1! M14x1! This typo almost cost trgt a barrel It's a metric thread, 14mm major diameter with a 1mm wide thread The Tanfoglio threads are M14x0.75 for small frame and M15x0.75 for large frame. LOL, CZ-USA fixed my compensator/barrel threads for me no-charge, so I never used that tap and die. In a couple months when I un-earth the M14x1 tap/die in the garage I'll offer it up for sale :-)
  22. Another option you may or may not be aware of is something like this airsoft steel challenge set ( http://www.tactrainers.com/products/the-steel-challenge-set). Your could certainly figure this out yourself (as you/your MD did), but besides scaled steel for practicing airsoft in your garage he gives you template of where to place the scaled steel on a long shelf so you can simulate each steel challenge stage.
  23. Set up a stock alert at KYGUNCO; also drop them a note at Automatic Accuracy that you want one, get on a list, maybe small deposit. That's how I got my 2 new ones :-) Maybe also see if Stuart at CZ Custom will put you on a list for one, and keep checking GunBroker. It's been awhile since new ones have been here, so you'd think soon for more.
  24. Cheely Czechmate 90 degree C-More mount Number remaining: 0 With Armin G claiming last one, I think this thread has run its course. Thanks Matt!! Thanks everyone for getting your interest and commitments in so we could make another batch happen! Time to lock up this thread, thanks again!
  25. OK, thanks Matt and everyone on getting this done! Hopefully everyone happy (Intl folks happy soon :-) Matt says one left after everyone who paid up to now has taken theirs, so I'll leave this thread open until someone claims/pays for the one left (see instructions prior post in thread). PM me or post if you buy it so we can shut down thread after that. Cheely Czechmate 90 degree C-More mount Number remaining: 1
