  1. Worse than short supply - no supply. I bought a bone stock 'SP01 Shadow" a year ago last November, and that was the last time I saw one new from CZ. It then dropped off CZ-USA catalog for 2014, so only way to get is to order custom or Accu version from CZ Custom, Automatic Accuracy, or distribution. If you found a non-custom/non-accu one floating around new your were lucky. I'm totally open to being corrected on this, but my experience the last year.
  2. My last Tactical Sport .40 came from the factory with a 'Standard' rollmark, apparently some came that way. Also they compare to some P01's that arrived to US marked as "CZ 75 Compact D". Seems like it's a factory "SP-01 Shadow" with non standard roll mark to let CZ build the guns based on slide batches they have?
  3. FWIW, You might want confirm that you actually have a standard .... I had a tactical sport (serial number on box with description tactical sport), but the roll mark was 'standard' - apparently a few were done that way. Now mine just said 'Standard', not "IPSC ..."
  4. I think you can call SIRT for the IR module if you are doing something outside of iMarksman, its not on http://nextleveltraining.com product page. Otherwise iMarksman will get for you, I don't know if they will do if you don't get their software. LASR, another computer dry fire company, looks like they sell the SIRT IR module stand alone: http://www.lasrapp.com/store/infrared-laser-module-for-sirt-110 (their price seems high though)
  5. Aimtech Systems and iMarksman both have system that use IR. Aimtech uses their laser dry fire insert that goes in the barrel of your gun, and iMarksman use a SIRT with IR laser (or IR module you can use in your SIRT).
  6. I haven't found anything online on this scope. Just the picture of the c-more advertisement above. This is all I could find on c-more scope: - C-more x10 scopes that they don't sell directly but through distribution http://www.nikkostirling.com/Content/cmore/cmore.html - Some background on who did an older 1-5x C-More scope for them http://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?71496-Anyone-know-the-History-of-the-C-more-systems-1-5x24-scope
  7. From my switch Glock 34 -> Accu, learn how to clean and lube the gun. You can't ignore things like the extractor, it will gunk up and cause mishaps, far sooner than if you treat your Glock similarly. From my 'A' class friend just now switching Glock 34 -> CZ, just get a LOT of practice time in to retrain yourself with the different grip angle and trigger -- he shot low for a bit until he trained a bunch on the new grip angle.
  8. No, you're good, keep cross training with all of them :-)
  9. Congratulations on the SP-01! You are going to love the CZ! And a LOT of folks here and CZ forum to help on the journey.
  10. The 9mm is the one that's worth having. Us folks in CA are grabbing any that free up - seems price is 1600-1800 ish for a new Stock II 9mm. But those sales to CA stop at the end of the year, since we'll lose for now the method that lets us bring them in. So maybe next year as more come into the US, the price will drop w/o CA folks bidding the price up.
  11. Both of these use the plastic 6mm airsoft bb's. I haven't had time to play with them much yet, sitting/waiting for me to migrate inside on a rainy day :-) But soon I think. Only thing I did was find/buy the black bb's so as not to be distracted by the white ones - otherwise I was watching the bb into the target with the last airsoft and white BB's. I will say they feel close enough that I think it will be cool to use. Unfortunately bolt pattern for optic different than CZ, so I can't use a spare cheely 90 mount cmore mount, will have to see about modifying something. Also the tanfoglio like trigger guard means I won't be using same holster, will have to mod something else. That's all I know so far :-)
  12. The two KWC pistols (KCB88AHN, KCB89AHN) are airsoft. Pic next to a czechmate. It's basically same frame (trigger guard, beavertail, wide safety) that they use on the tanfoglio gold team, I think same frame airsoft or BB. Just different grip and magwell, and addition of compensator and optic mount for open one. Pic next to a tanfoglio BB gun.
  13. Red Wolf Airsoft has a CZ like limited: http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/airsoft/Gas_Blow_Back_Pistols_KWC_KWC_Model_75_Full_Metal.htm Its pretty similar to the Tanfoglio one (notice square trigger guard), but the grip and magwell is much more like CZ than the tanfoglio. I haven't found this stateside yet, so the one I got came from Red Wolf / International to US

    Which Sp01?

Brisix is spot on. Great gun that you can start with NOW. Tons of support for upgrades (either send to CZ Custom or another, or get parts and DIY), and guaranteed it will not be the gun holding you back to any class you climb to. At some point you may figure out a preference for what is next, and then you can keep this for backup or pass along once you've sorted out what is next. If you really want the SP01 Shadow (no firing pin block, fiber optic front sight and fixed rear from factory, better Combat 85 trigger (but still needs trigger job)), you'll pay about $230 more plus FFL to FFL transfer/shipping fees . If you are ready for that now, call Stuart at CZ Custom (or ping him above - EERW), and see if he has any coming in, you might get lucky! ... If you are not ready to spend that extra right now, just get the one nearby.
  15. I replaced my 1301 stock with the A400 Xtreme (Mega Kick Off) stock, it seems like the way the stock came I needed to re-use the inserts for cast/drop as well as the butt pad from the original stock, the new stock didn't come with any of those. But I'll go check. The 1301 is basically same receiver as A400 (from what I can tell from the 1301 mega thread), so you can swap stocks. I ordered Beretta # C8A437 from my local dealer, but as far as they (and Beretta) were concerned, I was ordering a A400 Xtreme replacement stock. Brownells lists this part (http://www.brownells.com/shotgun-parts/stock-forend-parts/buttstocks/stock-black-syn-stock-black-syn-sku913-000-393-44996-102009.aspx), but I was on backorder for a month, my dealer got w/in a week for lower price, then I cancelled the Brownells B/O. Here's a link to more on the discussion - apparently you can replace the stock (what I did) or add an insert (I have no experience with that): http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=179930&page=10 Do you know of anyone who can shorten the Mega kickoff stock while keeping the system working? The mega-kickoff system as I understand it has the butt pad directly connected to a plate going to a pair of internal springs, and then the rear of the stock and cheek piece isolated from the front via the hydraulic damper. So it would be pretty complicated to figure out where you can reduce the stock and not affect how the two components of the system are mounted. I don't know anyone, but I know someone who would be interested if someone has a way to do it.

    Which Sp01?

Have your LGS give you the model#/sku off the case, then you'll know exactly what it is. As it if its the 'right' model ... 'right' for what? What are you looking for? At that price, its probably the standard SP01: http://cz-usa.com/product/cz-75-sp-01-9mm-black-3-dot-tritium-sights-18-rd-mags/
  17. A lot of the folks at our club notice the DOH was WAY more than 2" inner belt to their gun, most either 1) took a heat gun to it and bent it back a bit to be legal or 2) bought the Ben Stoeger hanger and remounted their holster on that.
  18. http://www.ar15barrels.com/services.shtml can build the upper for you for not much (including headspace check and reliability check) if you don't want to buy the tools, if you are only doing one build
  19. I think I did a post similar to yours a year or so ago. I REALLY like the SP01 Shadow, fits _perfect_ in hand, and the tactical sport just felt so big in comparison. So I pursued several directions. 1) I had a Shadow slide done with milled in Deltapoint optic, and MagnaPort Quad ports done. This upper is beyond fun, and anytime I wanted to switch to open minor, I just put it on a shadow or SP01 frame and have fun (with big mags) - shooting Open Minor. I wasn't appreciably faster than production, as I didn't have the hours in with the red dot, but the potential is there, and it makes shots 15 yards+ a breeze. 2) Turns out Tanfoglio isn't far off on feel, was able to get a Tanfoglio Small frame Open build from another here, it is FUN. Turns out this was a shorter path to a open build rather than trying to do a real open gun based on the SP01 Shadow, since the tanfoglio frame was already drilled for optics, and still basically takes CZ75 magazines. I need to spend more time with this one. 3) I got a Czechmate :-) What is wild is the grip reduction actually makes it feel in hand to me, to be closer to CZ75 vs Tactical Sport (which its based on). Advantage of the Czechmate is running Open Major (9 Major) vs the 9 Minor PF I do with the shadow/deltapoint slide. (Major isn't recommended in that setup as it doesn't have benefit of compensator to mitigate beating). Now with the Czechmate, I can run major or minor that gun, so I'm using the shadow/deltapoint slide far less for red dot fun - almost collecting dust. If you are interested in it, PM for details. My general observation is that the delta point is fun, but the cmore optic is a lot bigger so I find that dot faster on the draw. But either of them once I have the dot they are fast. I did try a burris red dot in a dovetail adapter, but for me that felt like the optic was riding high vs milled in delta point, or the cmore where I use the 90 degree mount to keep the dot low. Hope some of this helpful.
  20. Factory +p or ++p ammo won't work the comp. I tried every factory one I could find and I think the buffalo bore was 'hottest' at about 149-150 PF, also far shy of 165 needed for major. I used Blamtec to load major, just get them new brass, then you have ammo that is still way cheaper than +p , but done with correct powder with enough gas to work your comp. Otherwise don't bother with major, just shoot it open minor and have fun.
  21. Deltapoint 2 was cancelled, looks like now deltapoint pro will be gen 2 of the one where you need to remove optic to replace battery. Nice thing though it does hold zero just fine when you do. Main disadvantage I see when going between cmore on open gun to deltapoint milled base on slide is simply that it is smaller glass, easier to lose dot / harder to pick up dot.

    Spare parts list

If adjustable rear sight (HAJO or LPA) - spare adjustable rear sight (or) - backup fixed rear sight with matched height front sight Good list. FWIW, a lot of CZ in this area, the main things that have broken at inopportune times for folks last year are - fiber optics breaking / dropping out - adjustable rear sights (typically the pivot pin breaks or drifts out) - slide stop - trigger return spring

  24. I just got a 51679 - I didn't think the STI mag seated at all, but I tried again and a new STI mag body barely fit (release went click) with good push, but now its seems that has caused the mag release to stick in the mostly open position. I'm not a 1911 person (yet), mainly CZ, so will have to fiddle with that later to see what I just did.
