  1. I agree with all of the above, but changing guns is not going to solve poor trigger control. That is something that needs to be worked on no matter which gun you shoot.
  2. Memory stages with options are challenging but also good. Gotcha is when course designers put a hidden target right at a position you would normally be moving / reloading with the INTENT for you to blow past it.
  3. I assume the classifieds will be loaded with people dumping their stock edges for an upgrade.
  4. 17 round MecGars with ShockBottle base pads. USPSA & IDPA Legal. No spring change with MecGars.
  5. You get both paddle and belt attachments with the comp-tac international. I have the belt attachment securely on my DAA belt with the offset for USPSA. Then I just unscrew the holster from the offset and stick it on the paddle for IDPA. 2 for 1.
  6. I really like the comp-tac single mag pouches with the belt clip for IDPA. They also have the tek lok attachment that might be better for a USPSA belt setup.
  7. I shoot a 15# spring in my G35 at major pf. I think 11# - 13# is a better choice for a G34. Additionally, if you are planning on shooting IPDA SSP you have to stick with the dual recoil spring to be legal.
  8. I just checked it in the holster - it goes in pretty loose and starts to "lock" into place when the gun is about 80% in. If I make it any looser, the gun won't stay in the holster. If you have the holster adjusted correctly and you still have the problem only on the front of the slide, maybe it is from your technique of the draw or re-holster dragging the front of the muzzle on the holster.
  9. Put a dummy round randomly in your magazine during practice and you will see just how bad you are pushing the gun down. Best thing to do is practice a match speed and try not to jerk the trigger.
  10. You especially want to load well above power factor if you do not have a chronograph or haven't had your loads chronoed before.
  11. How is the factory trigger? Worth installing a new trigger group?
  12. My RCBS range master 750 just went out on me after 3+ years. Called them and they said send it back with a check for $50 and they will replace it and renew the 1 year warranty. If it goes out within a year they replace at no cost.
  13. Its probably a good idea to shoot a lot of different divisions and guns to start out so that you can figure out what you like best. If you want to get better you should try to pick one and stick with it. At least that is what I keep telling myself.

    Glock Magwell

Depends on how heavy you are looking for: Dawson super heavy = 5.8oz Zev brass with large insert = 7.9oz SJC heavy = 8.7oz
  15. Couldn't agree more. I ended up going with the 17 and even though I know there is not that much of a difference, I still think about the 34. On the other hand it ended up working out since I no longer shoot that gun in IDPA, I now am looking to turn it into an open gun.
  16. Combine any of those with a factory glock barrel which are not fully supported and you could have that happen. If you reload for a glock its a good idea to switch to an aftermarket barrel like a KKM just to be on the safe side.
  17. If you go with bushing barrel, short dust cover, modified STI magwell, and some 126mm mags you could shoot IDPA ESP. If you go full limited with it and get enlarged mag buttons, magwells, thumb rests, slide lightening, etc. it would put you out of IDPA but still good for USPSA limited but scored as minor.
  18. The bigger grip allows more room for the weak hand and seems to point better and control recoil more than the small frames. The thick heavy slide also tames recoil. Combine that with big heavy bullets that easily make major power factor make the G21 an accurate soft shooting gun with fast follow up shots.
  19. I use a racemaster for limited now with a G35 and intend on moving to open with a G17 using a SJC mount. I like the cleaner look of the SJC mount. No complaints with the racemaster.
  20. I shoot a G21 in CDP and now I am wondering if it would be worth the upgrade to a G41. I know a longer sight radius can only help. How is the recoil vs a G21? Does the extra weight of the G21 slide soften felt recoil? Does the longer slide balance the gun for quicker follow up shots?
  21. Taran, Dawson, Arredondo, Taylor Freelance.... I don't think you can go wrong with any of them. check this topic link for some more info http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=175983&hl=+magwell%20+modification
  22. Shoot for the body. Just make sure you stop the gun on each target so you don't pull off too early and put a shot into the no shoot during a transition.
  23. I would say the competitor stopped the reloading sequence and then safely engaged a target. No DQ would apply if it was an intended shot. The reloading sequence would begin again after the shot was fired.
  24. Sounds like you can go either way. If the gen 4 fits without any backstraps then you are good to go and your other requirements can be done with it. The gen 3 fits more like the gen 4 with the medium backstrap, so you may need to do a grip reduction to make it fit properly.
  25. There are some non-OEM magazines out there that may have issues dropping free. I also use a dry lubricant on my mags and inside the frame and wipe it all down dry. It may help the mags slide out.
