  1. I've been shooting Berry's or RMR 180 gr round nose but I'm getting low again. Anybody have any good leads to share on best place to buy a couple thousand plated round nose bullets?
  2. I'm still one of the mag in the pocket guys.( back left pocket ) I think, personally I can get to it faster than if it was higher around my waist.
  3. Here's what I went with on a new build. Nordic barrel but they are not fluted. RRA 2 stage match trigger probably switch out to Geissle 3gun Midwest Industries Gen2 handguard. Ace Socom stock (don't like adj. stock) Ranier upper & bcg with Raptor CH. SJC titan comp. Burris E1 2x7 glass Building your own rifle is 1/2 the fun in my opinion!
  4. They're available here but yes I had a similar experience. They didn't run well in the MKA.
  5. I'm one of the simple (read cheap) type of guys. Ed's Red & a bore snake then a good dose of fireclean or masters.
  6. In my opinion the parts to spend the big money on are barrel, trigger, bcg. In that order. I'm sure some disagree but you know what they say about opinions.
  7. Competition gun G24 Carry gun G27 Same platform much different size.
  8. Finding this thread is torture to me. I'm about 30 days into the wait of a G24 bronze slide for an open build. What was everybody's usual wait time? Full 60 days?
  9. I've reloaded a lot of these with Lee dies and never had a problem in a factory G24 barrel. This is the reason I'm still shooting the factory barrel as I would hate to add the extra step of running everything through a bulge buster die.
  10. I've been wanting to find one to check them out. Nice looking shotgun!
  11. I run a blade tech DOH, double alpha pistol mag carriers on a CR speed belt. I would get a 6" longer belt just to have a little extra hold. A good stuff belt really makes a difference.
  12. It looks to me that it only magnifies the front sight. Much like some of the older uspsa shooters I know with prescription glasses to do the same thing. I would vote it's just a sight but as an open shooter I really don't care.
  13. Wow, seems really nice for a budget scope! I had to laugh at the dog comment.
  14. A 16" is a great tool to be able to throw into the truck when headed to the farm. Build it!
  15. Nice fix Steve. And good job on the write up & pics!
  16. That's a sweet setup. Just proves- where there's a will, there's a way!
  17. In my opinion if I wanted to win a raffle I'd go to a raffle. I shoot 3gun for the love of the sport, fun and fellowship. I do however shoot my best to place better each match. A large prize table with nice things on it gives a little something to strive for, more than a dime store trophy would.
  18. +1 on Burris customer service. I cross threaded the battery cover and they just swapped it out no questions.
