  1. If an accurate score can't be determined it's a reshoot.
  2. It's probably way overspring from the factory. Put a lighter recoil spring in it
  3. I was going to add that part too. Couldn't be me then, I'm a dick
  4. Not really accurate. The fire control parts inside the gun are the same, so amount of trigger creep would be the same between a DA/SA gun and an SAO variant.
  5. Hope that wasn't me. I got two reshoots at a8 for the same thing. Had nice center punch hits on the popper, but both times they went through the edge of a wall.
  6. Zeroing distance is 18 and a half yards. NO MORE NO LESS Won't be one inch low unless your sights are one inch tall.
  7. Right, but if all the squads are full, but you want to swap around so you can shoot with your buddies, no one can move anywhere.
  8. It's full. There are 5 people who haven't squadded...or maybe that squad has extra slots to allow people to bounce around. Ever register for a match that fills really fast, then want to swap squads with someone but can't because there's no way to move to an empty squad? Squadding gridlock!
  9. You can definitely do it. Our outdoor range has 3 bays with cement walls on the outside. It's a lot more effort and requires more props at a quick indoor match to set it up that way though
  10. Two charlies in 5.17 on this one 99.8% I think
  11. All divisions are optional at all levels of USPSA matches. It's not a local rule to not allow a division at a match.
  12. Stage planning...you want to try to break up the shooting into 8 round arrays so you can reload while you move. Coming into a new position with only a few rounds in the gun kills you when you have to do a standing reload. Sometimes they are unavoidable when shooting SS, but try to avoid them and reload on the move when you can. For example, on the last stage you only shot 4 shots from the second to last box, but you had to shoot 10 in the last position. The last two targets you shot were available from the previous box, so you should have shot them from there, then you wouldn't have had a standing reload in the last box. Sometimes shooting SS or Production there are 10 or 12 round arrays that you'd like to shoot from one spot, but it helps to "borrow" some rounds from the previous mag if you can see some of those targets from elsewhere. This sort of stuff will come to you soon. For your first match it looks like you were pretty accurate (nice hits on all the steel). SS is a challenge for a first timer for sure.
  13. Also...definitely need to work on that weak hand grip. You basically reset your grip on every shot. That's not going to help your accuracy or speed at all. Also...put one in the chamber then put in a full mag. Going to slide lock for every reload is adding like a second to each of your reloads, and with single stack there are a lot of them..
  14. All USPSA matches held anywhere are open to the public. I'm a member at NH. I'm usually at their matches but missed this one.
  15. I've never had to do this. All my STI tubes have run 100% from the jump
  16. Except the rule now says before your last shot. It didn't used to say that
  17. Well yea, but it still happens. Also at Area 7 there was a swinger that was hidden behind no shoots, but you could shoot it on a tough angle from another position without having to open the port that starts the movement. We all shot it that way and then walked to open the port that starts the swinger and the ROs just asked us not to do that because it wasted so much time. I don't know what rule explains getting one procedural for doing what I originally asked though.
  18. The rule was there before, it just didn't have the "before the last shot" wording.
  19. There are a few scenarios I've seen where you'd do that. At area 7, three or four years ago you had to run outside the shooting area and pull a lever to activate a drop turner. There's no way it was worth it to do all that for a possible 10 points so everyone I saw shot the whole stage then walked all the way back to the start to pull the lever
  20. But 9.9.3 says you have to activate moving targets before the last shot...hence my question
  21. Doesn't answer the question.
