  1. 9.9.3 says moving targets have to be activated before the last shot and 2.1.8.5 says shoot em if you can see em. How do these two work together? If there is a swinger that is somehow available at rest and you shoot it but never activate the movement do you get Mikes on it even though there are two hits on the paper?
  2. I'm going to be that new guy this weekend, at a Level 2 match no less. Should be fun
  3. I'm not holding your greasy chamber flag for you. Figure it out.
  4. The perfect alignment of the sights doesn't matter as much as the sights being in the center of the target and having a good trigger pull. Obviously this varies as distance increases Ever shoot a 1 inch group right in the C or D zone? Sight picture was good, trigger control was good, wasn't aimed at the center of the target.
  5. All of those examples (except the velcro) are parts that are bolted to the holster. If you can take it off your holster in 3 seconds and put it in your pocket, it's not permanent.
  6. Just want to throw this out there.... That's now how it works. If some over eager RO wants to apply his made up rules onto you, it's up to HIM to quote the rulebook to you.
  7. I used to use a Race Master. That thing has clouded my judgement against race holsters. That and ROing major matches and seeing so many people give themselves wedgies or nearly shoot their toes off
  8. I do it, but I also shoot a kydex holster in Limited division. I probably wouldn't do it with a race holster
  9. Even if he did, someone should be able to explain the proper rules to someone and educate them And if not there is arbitration
  10. Are there an infinite number of USPSA clubs in your area that you can completely discount one because of one incompetent RO? Besides, whenever you see an issue like this it is ultimately the shooter's fault for not knowing the rules themselves. If you allow this to happen to yourself, that's on you.
  11. The main advantage of the HP bullets is they make your wallet lighter, faster. Should be an advantage on stage times not having to carry all that cash around.
  12. Loved mine. Did not like the 3g gisselle trigger, there is no "wall". The SSA-E is good too, but the HSNM is lighter and adjustable
  13. 6.5.1 Competitors must compete for score according to the published match and squadding schedule. A competitor who is not present at the scheduled time and date for any stage may not attempt that stage without the prior approval of the Match Director or Range Master, failing which the competitor’s score for that stage will be zero.
  14. Chop two inches off the barrel, thread for your favorite comp, pin and weld
  15. There is at least one classifier where Production HF is higher than CO. I forget which one it is at this point and it's possible it's been fixed with the latest "adjustment"
  16. 100% DQ. I actually DQ'd someone for this at a match last weekend. I hadn't even noticed he holstered without the safety on (CZ TSO) until he reached down with his weak hand to flick the safety on while it was already in the holster. After the DQ I was talking with him and his buddy and he said that's how he had always done it. The good news is they both shot Area 7 yesterday and made it through with no issues. Better to lose the $20 local match fee and learn a lesson than to have to learn it at a Level 3 match 7.5 hours away.
  17. It would have two less barrels and no optic included. And no 9mm mags $4k for a 40 limited only option would get me interested.
  18. I only shoot the Walther for paydays, we aren't in love
  19. Would like to get someone up here in the Mid-Atlantic region to get one so I can check it out. Pls make happen
  20. A new tanfo or shadow out of the box is nothing to get excited about but after $100 worth of tuning it's pretty awesome. If the S-One doesn't have tuner parts available then it may be better than a stock DA/SA gun, but it will be hard to improve on that, whereas my Tanfo feels nothing like it did when it was new out of the box.
  21. It's hard to jump into a new platform with little aftermarket support, etc. Are mags available? Spare parts? Holsters? When you say the trigger is better than a Shadow 2 how do you mean? I have a 2 pound trigger in my Tanfo.
  22. 11 or 12 # variable in my current gun, which has a super heavy frame and lightened slide. A stock edge may be different. I would recommend getting one of the wolff recoil calibration packs and trying them all. I used to run a 10# in my 6 inch gun, but that didn't feel great in my 5"
  23. All great reasons to get a Limited gun, where new types of parts and experimentation is the norm.
