  1. I recall he wrote somewhere that he does it to separate his given name from his family name.
  2. Hey, that book was written by James Wesley, (comma) Rawles.
  3. "Man cannot live by spaghetti alone....."
  4. Shot the SX3 today and while the gun did definitely cycle faster than my Benelli, I'm not sure it shot any softer. The recoil impulse was sharper and quicker; definitely different. The SX3 didn't strike me (no pun intended) as softer shooting though, with the same loads. The advantage might be the ability to run lighter powered ammo reliably. As an open shooter and not as proficient at weak hand loading as most, I can say the SX3 doesn't seem to load as easy as the M2. That might be remedied with some spring tweaking and polishing of the internals on the SX3. Am hoping the SX3 isn't as sensitive to mag tube spring tension as the M2.
  5. Gary and his team did an awesome job designing and pulling off the 2009 KY MG match. I look forward to this match every year. It is without a doubt the best one day 3 gun match in the country. Kudos on a job well done.
  6. Mental note to self......John has a memory like an elephant......OK....I guess I'm gonna have to ask again.....are there any more questions?
  7. I saw this when it popped up and got a few good belly laughs out of it. Yeah, the need to get more melon comment there at the end was a riot.
  8. Yep, do what you want. I've got my fix. I'm going to change the name of Adventure Travel to AAA Travel and sign up as an Enos forum dealer.
  9. While I appreciate the gesture, I do think that would be too weird. Go ahead and alphabetize the list if that's the consensus. I'll always have the satisfaction of knowing I was the first to recognize a good thing and offer my support.
  10. As the first dealer to sign up, you know how I voted. On the other hand, I agree the dealers down in the middle of the group are harder to locate. I'm confident my customers will find me regardless of where in the mix I end up. If the majority want an alphabetical listing then I'm good with that.
  11. Some of the Brownells staff told me at the DPMS match they wouldn't be doing the 10% off coupon this year. I hope that ain't true but that's what they said.
  12. I think you need to give me that gun the next time I head over toward Rome. While Joey may not be building guns anymore, I feel I can speak for him in saying he will fix anything that's out there that he's already built if it isn't working.
  13. Call J.L. and ask him about his. I think it was a Holland break he put on his TC in 300 Win Mag. He said it tamed the recoil significantly and he says it's no louder than it was before he put it on. Course like many of us, he's already nearly deaf anyway, so take that with a grain of salt. I've seen a quarter size group he shot at 300 yards with it, so I don't think it hurt the accuracy any.
  14. CPWSA has the IHT throw levers in stock for the Burris XTR, Meoptka K dot, Leupold 1.5x5, and Millett DMS. Click the link below: IHT throw levers at CPWSA
  15. my point zackly....time to restock the pond. Can't have them fish gettin' all uppidity.
  16. Yep, if the FB3G match staff is looking for a way to raise some extra cash, I'd recommend the following as great producers: shoot the trench stage again for $15; do it in the dark with a surefire for $20; shoot the stages that had lights, under the lights after dark for $15; drive the stryker for $25, put 8 "friends" in the back for additional $50; and raffle chances to torch the bridge. Could probably sell those at $50 a pop easy. Challenge coin was super cool, but so was the knife last year as well. Awesome match as usual. BTW, I have Benelli M2 and STI Eagle 9mm paperweights I'll let go cheap.
  17. Cherokee Gun Club in Gainesville GA shoots a USPSA match the 2nd Saturday of every month.
  18. cool...guess I can put that extended button back on.
  19. I don't shoot much singlestack, but I previously interpreted the rules as - you could use an extended release but not an oversize button.
  20. If you must know, I'll be playing in your TO pond at every non USPSA match starting with Benning.
  21. Here's the link for Sunbuster: Sunbuster Their phone number is 1-866-SUNBUSTER. Not sure what the phone number you have is. The process is usually to call them and get a RMA number, return the frames with the RMA and they send you a new pair. They're usually pretty responsive to replacements. Getting stock to sell is another story for another time. I suspect the number you're calling is an old one that doesn't get checked anymore for messages. You might also verify that the address you shipped your frames back to is the Broadhollow Road Farmingdale NY address.
