Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I'm not as up to date on the rule book as I should be and I'm also not a very good range lawyer. I thought the stage added alot of fun elements to this match. I enjoyed it. I also believe that the powers that be will really look at all that has been said and make the appropiate changes in the future. As for today we all shot the stage the same way, therefore in my mind it was a fair, equally administered, challenging stage.
  2. A great big thank you to Sam, Brad, Lynn and all of the others, RO's, involved with putting on such a great, fun match. I cannot believe I've never made it up here before. I'll definiteley be back. As for the drama on stage two I'm siding with Sam in his decision as MD. He's as solid as they come. Thanks again guys.
  3. What happened to the red gatorade?
  4. From my perspective, as the guy who shot this target, I saw and engaged what had gone from 1 full size drop turning target with three looks to a target with 2 halves of a full size target. At the time I fired the second shot the turner was closing up yet still visible. I deemed it to be range failure once I was through. It strikes me as a plate on a stem that turns sideways yet fails to fall off. All evidence indicates the second shot would've been a solid hit.
  5. He would've surprised you this time. I actually witnessed him leave a half full mug on the table at Outback. Unbelievable...
  6. Where are the scores posted from the last match? Had a great time! Didn't follow your post match suggestions though. See ya'll soon.
  7. Many thanks to Randall and all of the other people who made this happen PRIOR to the rest of us getting to help out. All of the squads were trememdously helpful in resetting stage #1 and it was very much appreciated. Thanks to all of the sponsors and competitors who continue to make this sport thrive. Congrats to the winners and as an Al. Section member thanks to all for making this match a success.
  8. Woke up Sore??? Did you go home with REID You mean the short fat man that whipped your arse? At least YOU missed the plate....... From the sound of the 1st statement missing the plate may be your 2nd regret but I'm sure before you are done they will be many more!!!! If your nice I will let you shoot my new pistol................. Now..now Webb. I think I'll stick with the amazon (Stefan). He's a little thicker. A sincere thanks to all who had a part in planning/running this match. Definitely a classy group of people. A great prize table to boot. Congrats to the winners!!
  9. It's a little late but I truly appreciate the effort that Randal put in to this match. The stages were alot of fun and all of us RO's tried our best to ensure that all of the shooters had a good time. I would also like to thank Stefan and Mark and everyone else associated with this match for the way it came off. What a great bunch of people. Congrats to the winners and the mugs were a really new concept. Thanks again Randal.
  10. Just in case anyone does get hungry there's a Subway and a Bruno's with a deli about 5 minutes from the range. I haven't seen what the breaks are gonna look like but these are 2 really close eateries. There are several others nearby but I can't recall their names as of right now. Maybe this'll help out a little.
  11. All right, now that we've got that out of the way does anyone know where the aftermatch party will be held. It's gonna be informal for sure and I'm sure there'll be plenty of frosty malt barley pops (beer) to go around. We should vote now as to whether camcorders and other recording devices will be allowed. Just a thought. Anyone have any other suggestions? There are plenty of quakity eating establishments located nearby and near the match hotel.
  12. Yeah I would suggest that you guys take a nice long sight picture to ensure a hit. Plus with the cost of ammo you don't wanna be missing much so to ensure this just shoot slower, more consistent. I tell all of my students this. Usually about ckassifiers but the concepts the same.
  13. I never paid much attention to it but the women playing softball are really fun to watch and competetive to boot. I've thought about giving up IPSC to become an umpire.
