  1. I really liked the little strip of toilet paper you could pull down to use as a polarizer/sunshade. That was high tech stuff right there.
  2. My shellplate started moving vertically more than normal and flexing as the powder drop/expander die was pulled out of the case on the upstroke. The main shaft nut had come loose just enough to allow the shellplate to move upward a bit at the start of the upstroke. This would put pressure I think on the shell plate in the areas where yours seems to have cracked.
  3. Here's a link to my page with the reticle information, for those that are having trouble with the powerpoint file above. Lund USO Reticle at CPWSA
  4. Great job! Now come on over to the dark side and play with us in open.....get the GM card there for the trifecta!
  5. To the naysayers.....you ever heard that sage advise that you should never bet against a guy doing card tricks? Kinda the same thing. I've seen Rob do this 50 or 60 times on demand. There is no trickery in the video. All I got to say is, you might bet against somebody else trying to do it and win, but if you bet against Rob, you will lose. Don't bet the house.
  6. Sam, Chad, Kurt, and Trapper did an excellent job with match logistics and stage design. Linda provided her usual GM stats performance. Even 3 inches of rain couldn't put a damper on such a great match. Thanks for accommodating us so we could buzz over to the Ozarks to shoot the Adams Arms match.
  7. After our match blitz weekend, even 40 hours with no sleep couldn't hide the fact that this was a great match. You guys did an awesome job and this one is definitely on the calendar for next year.
  8. I've had several customers place orders and I will be delivering product on Friday which will at least save the shipping costs. Will be happy to do that for anyone who gets orders in before I leave around noon tomorrow. Can't vend at the match as we are headed over to shoot the Adams Arms 3 gun match on Saturday and Sunday. Whole lotta shootin' going on this weekend. Yee haw.
  9. You can take a piece of velcro and put on the inside of the holster loop to help with this. I've got no experience with this personally, but if you have no heat gun, I have heard some say you can hang the holster by a piece of wire into a pot of boiling water for a few minutes and soften the loop to the extent it can be reformed for a tighter fit. Heard one guy say he even put his in the microwave oven. YMMV.
  10. The difference in the 3 offerings is: DOH - fully dropped and offset to the extent legal within USPSA production division USPSA - wide belt loop (offset) to set the gun away from the body a bit but with no drop IDPA - thinner belt loop to prevent daylight from showing through holster belt loop, when on belt, as required by IDPA rules.
  11. you asking about their tactical comp or the newer Corvette comp?
  12. Mrs. Mig obviously hasn't applied the Hack-Fu mentality to her line of work. Congrats to you both.
  13. I might have missed this, but what is the minimum round count for the match?
  14. My thoughts on your questions, FWIW: Is there a speed loading system for the FN that I could be competitive in Open? Not that I'm aware of, short of something custom. I may look at modifying an Arredondo loader chute for use on the SX3 or a SLP for use in open. Looks like with a little delrin shim work, one could be made to fit either gun. Does the benelli really kick that much? Definitely more than the Remy or the SLP, but no as much as the SX3 in my opinion. I was surprised at the recoil of the SX3. Even though it's a gas gun, it is so light that to me there is more perceived recoil there than with the Benelli. I'm of the opinion now that the weight of the gun really has more to do with recoil than whether it's recoil or gas operated. I keep hearing about extra parts for the 1100 so would a benelli really cost that much more in the long run? The Benelli is not without upkeep as they seem to be really sensitive to mag tube spring pressure, especially when tubes longer than +10 are used. Keep fresh mag tube springs and carrier lever springs in the Benelli. How much upkeep is there really in the 1100? I get the feeling it sounds worse than it is. I can only say I tried to shoot Remington for a couple of years before finally giving up, not so much for reasons of upkeep but due to lack of reliability. Am I wrong, Can I get a Saiga in CA (question for CA residents)? can't answer this one.
  15. There's several ways to do it, but here's a link to one of them: CPWSA instructions for spring replacement on stock assembly
  16. Make note of any other wireless devices in your home before going to a wireless camera/security system, i.e. phones, wi-fi, etc. I tried a wireless security and camera system that didn't play nice with my wireless phone system. Ended up going with a wired camera/security system as a result. Different manufacturers obviously use different frequencies so almost impossible to say what will work with what. Suggest checking the frequency of existing wireless devices you may have before taking the plunge for a wireless security or camera system that may use the same frequency or one which might interfere.
  17. Was able to put a few rounds through one a friend had a while back. The trigger, fit, and finish were great, and it shot well. I didn't like the fact that it is basically a pocket gun that's too heavy to drop in your pocket. Just not a good compromise between footprint of the gun and weight compared to some of the other options out there.
  18. Sponsor letters went out on Monday. Feel free to have anyone reach out to me that is interested in becoming a sponsor that may not have received a letter. There are sponsorships available at all levels.
  19. No doubt, scope selection for 3 gun is a personal and subjective thing. No one yet makes the "perfect" scope for that game. Have you tried the triangle post reticle? I didn't like the crosshair/dot for the reasons you mention but really like my triangle post unit.
  20. I recently bought a TR24 with the red triangle post reticle. I can't now, but will try to get a turret pic for you soon. I find the turrets easy to use but feel they share a similar characteristic with many turrets in that the reference marks and numbers could be larger for easier at a glance visibility. At this point, I have not dialed long range elevation into the scope, but have repeatedly dialed between a 100 yd and 300 yard zero. I have found the POI to return exactly in every instance. As such, I would not anticipate, and certainly hope, there is no POI shift when dialing elevation out to 400 or 500 yards as well. Won't know that until I can get to our longer range facility. Fingers crossed. I have found nothing to dislike about the scope at this point.
