  1. This was my first year supporting the AMU camp and I can say without question, that I've never received so much positive feedback as a result of anything I've been involved with as a sponsor. I've received numerous messages from both the parents and the attendees of the AMU junior camp. Many of these thank you notes are handwritten and mailed. Who takes the time to do that anymore? It's also obvious that many of the participants are taking the time to thank every sponsor involved. With that kind of response, I'm already in for next year as well.
  2. Now that was completely uncalled for. I resemble that remark. Actually some of my "friends" epoxied my shells in my speedloader tube, so when I went to reload the shotgun I pushed it right out of my hands. Yeah, that's what happened. That's my story and I'm sticking with it. Somebody sabotaged me. Tod, help me out here....you're good at this.
  3. I was merely answering a question to help out a fellow forum member who had obviously lost his way. While I did note the availability of the comps in my dealer section as well, I trust the mods will beat me about the head and shoulders if I have strayed from the path of enlightenment.
  4. I have to admit I'm rethinking what's for sale and what ain't any more.
  5. Yes, I have noticed specific to ARs, parts, mags, etc., what was available at some of the houses as recently as yesterday is not available today. As such, it appears some are really jacking up their prices.
  6. I've been playing around with one of these for a few days. A nicely made product which is no surprise from Nordic. The mag will hold 47 rounds with no problem, but won't work with my gun with any more than 42 rounds in it. I've got a rate reducer and a different recoil spring in my gun so I suspect that is likely the reason.
  7. No, you're fine. The range is only about 30 minutes from my house so I'm not in the match hotel or any other nearby. No extra weaponry should be needed.
  8. Ah, a gambler at heart, figuring odds and counting cards. While the match is formally cash payback to winners, right now we have 13 guns with an additional $7000 worth of accessory products available as drawing prizes. Not sure how the match director is allocating everything, but there will be some split between competitor and RO drawing pools. There were about a dozen of us at the range setting up yesterday, and if we can order up the same weather for next weekend, it can't be any better.
  9. Someone must have removed the post that was here earlier asking about the price. MSRP is $54.95.
  10. As sponsor coordinator for the match, thought I'd chime in and let everyone know I think this match is going to be pretty awesome. The stages are up and design looks to be excellent. While this is a cash payback match, generous sponsor contributions have created a competitor/RO drawing prize pool that includes a dozen guns with the opportunity for one or two more before all is said and done. Not bad for a match with only 140 some odd competitors. Should be a great time in the north Georgia mountains. Here's the link to the match website: http://www.gastatechampionships.com/
  11. There was a guy at the MG Nats that had a new drop in called the AR Gold. Don't remember much else other than he did have a couple on the prize table. A google search turns up this link: AR Gold trigger
  12. I hate it when you can't get product/services from the companies you've chosen to do business with. I hate my business getting a bad reputation because I can't supply customers with product from manufacturers whose products I sell. Waiting months on restock supplies is not acceptable. In some cases lately, I simply decided it's no longer worth the aggrevation of piled up backorders and customer complaints, and quit selling those products completely. That on the other hand obviously eliminates the revenue generated by those products; some of which I feel are really great with the exception of not being able to get your hands on them. The proverbial rock and hard spot.
  13. While I am very aware Area 6 is a 3 gun match, your point is well taken. It isn't fair to compare a 3 gun with a multi-gun match. While a 3 gun match isn't a simple affair to put on, it's certainly easier than a multi-gun. On the other hand, we've shot several multi-gun events at the same facility that's hosting the A6 3 gun this year. The point I was trying to, but didn't make very well, was that there are area and even local multi gun matches that parallel what we saw at the nationals this year in many aspects. Right or wrong, I think expectations for a nationals are a bit higher than that.
  14. another vote for the PMags. Started using them about 9 months ago and do so exclusively now.
  15. That's likely why there are a few Areas that consistently put on rockin' 3 gun and multi-gun matches. With the sole expection of a few of the "name" shooters not attending, I suspect this year's Area 6 match will make the recent nationals seem like a local club match.
  16. Happy Birthday my friend!
  17. I use them. They weigh nine tenths of an ounce on a postal scale...with lens inserted. Prato glasses
  18. You use the same Nordic tube on both a M1 and a M2, so I would say they're the same.
