I read some where on this sight that... There are no hard shots and no easy shots. You simply shoot when you have a good sight picture. If you can interanlize this, it really helps a ton. Your issues with the star will go away.

Great for her. I wish I'd handled it better when I got DQ'd. Fact is, I was very angry with myself and didn't hang around. I'd like to think if it were to happen again I'd do better.

I picked this thread to read because my last match performance was well below my standards. One particular stage had 4 shooting positions. The first had 4 targets with 3 no shoots. It required very accurate shots. I elected to take head shots on 3 targets and the 4 in the normal "A" zone. The rest of the stage was easy shots. My mindset in the walk through killed me. My stage plan was VERY flawed. Shoot accurate on the 1st stage and fast on the rest. I executed my plan to perfection. 1st part was accurate and actually pretty quick, I saw my sights well. Then as my plan dictated, I shot fast and didn't hit a darned thing. How many times will I fall into the same trap? Very irritated with my mental toughness.

I was reading a different thread on this the other day and learned I needed a heavier mainspring. To all of you who recommended that, Thank you! Went from 70% reliable to 100%. I am ssssoooooooo pleased with it now! Thanks again

Thanks. I'll use that picture for a comparison today. Matt did mine one of mine this summer the other is older, so I have to assume the do not have the SRT.

Dryfire is boring and I find myself practicing bad habits. Am I alone on this one? By the way, I know it is very productive and the quickest way to improve, so take it easy on me.

I have two SP01's that Matt Mink has done the trigger on. I think the triggers are great. I do not know if he installed the SRT. I don't have any other guns to compare it to. How can I tell?

You tube will tell you all you need if you have questions when you get it. Extractor removal is different but not difficult and needs done every 5k or so. Again, you tube will show you how and you'll be proficient in about 3 minutes.

I was tought there should not be a gap between the palms of your hands. Is that incorrect? I have experimented myself with a slightly forward left hand grips an found it does help with control. On my limited gun, it has caused me to accidentally eject the magazine on several occasions so I abandoned it. Should I give it another chance?

Media with an agenda is what I hate. You had to ALMOST get lucky to hear about the CCW guy that stopped the mass shooting at the mall in Oregon a week ago. The shooter killed two people before being confronted by a civilian with a carry permit, he the shooter took his own life.

I put a Springco in mine before I fired the 1st shot. I've never had and issue and can not say enough good things about Springco. I now have them in all my competition guns. Allen Druger (Springco owner I think), is usually available by phone and will help you with special spring rates if you wish. Amazing product! I just wish they were cheaper. It does lessen the felt recoil as well and in my opinion improves performance.

I get your talking OAL. Has anyone had issues with range brass not being sized correctly (to large an outer diameter, damn glocks). What is the solution to this problem?

Did you ever get this? Would you recommend it? I do not like my magwell (aluminum), it seems "sticky" compared to those on my other guns.

I used to sell 1911 grips I made on ebay. They were very easy to make. I've made grips for all my CZ's and they really suck to make due to all the angles on the underneath side. I have made several out of G10 or Micarta and I will not make any more (unless I buy another CZ). Those Hogue grips look amazing. It's also pretty easy to sand off the checkering of the original wood grips and add grip tape. I prefer the feel of grip tape over the rubber. My hands sweat a lot in the summer and I find I get a more positive grip with the grip tape.

I ran mine to failure and it was about 12k. As a rule of thumb for me, I clean it before big matches.

Neomet has it right. It's a fantastic gun. No tuning necessary. I have made several modification to mine. None were truely necessary, it has always worked better than the operator

Just started running the Kadet on my SPO1. I've had several FTF's. I'm going to try the heavier springs. Thanks for the info.

I got a SPO1 for my backup and had to use it at an Area match. I was disappointed. I then sent the gun to Matt Mink to fix the massive difference in the trigger. Have it back now and love it. I no longer have a true "back up". It's pretty much which ever one I grab is the one i run that day
