Power mags and the kimpro tac mags

I snapped up the ones on ar15.com

I picked up a used spartan recently and just now got out to the range. I love it but there is one issue. Sometimes the last round will be left sitting on top of the mag when the slide locks back. The brass is mangled at the mouth. It only does it sometimes, not always, only the last round and it's not mag specific. Any ideas?
