  1. Old original small frame Eaa slide has a deeper pocket for the lugs compared to the Goldteam and Limited! never seen a peened barrel on it. The barrel lock up on the old Eaa is Tightshut and no Light shines thru! compared to new ones that has a bit of play?
  2. That's exaclty what I did last year! glad you have done this to the gun. You will love it once installed. Next task is how do you maintain the trigger SET and not move..matches after matches.. my trigger settings moved every after local matches until I found how to set maintain it. I'm sure you will find that if you know how to do this.
  3. Shoot! I had one last year and sold it here at the forum! It came with my small frame Eaa. Made of aluminum casted? was not very preety but it was new.
  4. 147 gr bullet was used long ago on the P9 when power factor was at 175 minimum. The P9 was known to crack the slide but it held up with a heavier bullet, so shooters started to shoot 147g bullet so that its not so hard on the gun. I have heard thru the grape vine that glocks dont hold up in open? PF is high and slide will eventually crack. So shooting 147g bullet will be the ticket! It is true that the more powder to use, more efficient the comp will work. I would try the slowest burning powders like Autocomp,Hs6,IMR7625, Vihtavouri N105, N350,3n37,3n38, Ramshot silhoutte and see how that works out. Hope this helps.
  5. Its definitely a timing issue. I hope Rich from Canyon Creek chimes in. Slide metal is harder than the barrel.
  6. Taking a class from a PRO shooter like Matt Burkett or Manny Bragg will make you a better shot Guaranteed!!
  7. Listen to CHALEE he is the man in Eaa .40!
  8. I love the super 250rd shotgun scene!! It was entertaining. didnt really mine and I was relaxed seeing the movie.
  9. Aha! Silhouette it is.. Thank you! suggestion on starting point?
  10. My favorite load is 7.0g autocomp aol 1.250 its soft and good dot tracking. Its minor load for steel but its flat. I shoot 3n38 or sp2 on major matches on my 38sc.Scarry accurate!! Since I have converted my other V12 to 9mm and have successfully made the mags work, I'm playing with 9mm powder loads now for practice. I shot autocomp on 9mm Eaa at 7.4g and this load was 176pf on my STI full 5in open with no popple holes and 3 chamber comp!. Preety snappy on my v12 and have not chrono the load yet. I hope its good enough for major on the Eaa.I Will try what coco suggested , H6 is the next load for the 9mm V12 Eaa. Here's what comes to mind: 3n38 Viht- Fills the case NO GOOD Autocomp- Snappy maybe it can make major. H6- I have to try it Give me other suggestions for powder on 9mm that wont fill the case! my aol MAX is 1.145 Many thanks to all.
  11. Happy birthday and enjoy your day to you both!!
  12. Goldteam is exactly the same as gold team Eric. Gold team Eric is custom made and only in Europe. You can custom the gunby your self. Henning has lots of parts plus just need a dremel to polish places on the gun to make it smoother.
  13. Check you crimp most tumbling bullet is caused by too much crimp. Should only be .03 so if . 355 crimp should be . 377-.378 for diameter of bullet.
  14. Only problem would be using more powder! I think gun still recoils the same. I would prefer good comp no ports
  15. If that tube moves, say goodbuy to your good feeding mags! I would leave it for the PROS!
  16. I suspect JJ wins this cause I think he is not going to steel challenge in Piru? correct me if I'm wrong, but if he did win it,He is 100k richer and wont need the money at the steel Challenge right? or maybe I'm wrong and he will shoot S.C just for the love of the sport.
  17. Thanks Coco.. I will do that. what's good starting point with Hs6? remember I have 12 popple holes..
  18. Britin, aol for 9mm will work on 1.150 max. to be safe I do 1.145. Kurtb, 9mm in open gold team will make major in autocomp, but dont like how the dot meters. Hits are not so good and not consistent. I have not tried other powders but since 9mm has a small brass case, autocomp that is flakey and wont overfill the case is the only one I know that will make the load to major power factor of our minimum 165.WIll have to play with more powder, but I know others will not make major since the gun has 12 popple holes! So far, in 38sc, my favorite powder is the Vit 3n38. Meters like the sp2 powder and extremely accurate! Autocomp works well in 9mm for steel load at 7.0g. Gun shoots nice and flat. Also good enough for local matches to practice with if you want. sent you a PM.
  19. Base pad will cost you more. Just put 2 together, cut the mag and weld the bottom part with the tabs. Then use a plate and spring plate holder.
  20. As far as i know, its not easy. Goal is not have a smooth transition of 2 mags on the inside and have a very sharp neat cut of the mags. good luck and keep us posted. Gunsmths charge 125 and up!
  21. If you will be competing in limitef get .40 and contact chalee here on forum. He can make that gun run100% if you want open, get 38 tj, if you are just having fun, go to open and get 9 mm then get my mags and conversion. You'll be glad you are not picking up brass. Good luck.
  22. O.K. I'm not sure if I can post price on this forum. Please PM me for a quote who are interested. Thank you.
