Thank you both for your advice. Although I'm not currently competing, I would like to in a couple years and figure I might as well get used to reloading and shooting the short colts. I'll keep the JHP bullets for .357 and I'm ordering some sample packs of coated bullets. Why is a chromo a must vs keeping an eye out for pressure signs like I do for .38 & .357?

I just got some Starline 38 short colt brass and I'm hoping to start loading with the components I have on hand. Most of the load data I have found on the forum is for lead or plated bullets. Has anyone used jacketed 158gr bullets for short colt? I have a couple thousand Zero 158gr JHP bullets I would like to use up. Is there any advantage for using lead or plated bullets other than cost? I have seen a few suggestions to use 9mm load data for SC, but most of the loads I've seen are 158/160gr bullets. I noticed that Bayou Bullets have 115gr .358 bullets. Is there a reason to use heavier bullets for SC or would 115gr or 124gr bullets work? I have Bullseye, W231,Titegroup, IMR 800x and Autocomp. I'll be shooting it out of a 627 with a 5" barrel and am mostly target shooting so PF isn't important. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Along the lines of the of the Decocker CZ75 dont seem popular why? thread, why doesn't the CZ 85 Combat model seem popular? Based on what I have read on the forum I would have thought it would be more popular since it doesn't have a FPB. I have tried both a CZ75 and a SP-01 and prefer them over the Glocks and M&Ps. Is there any reason to get a CZ75B or SP-01 over a CZ 85 Combat?
