  1. I have a < 1,5 lb pull in my gun with stock STI parts holds up for more than 30000 rounds at this moment . if a trigger job does not hold for a long period of time its mostly not due to the used parts but to who did the trigger job .
  2. Is that a defect or just the way the profile should look where the rail part begins ?
  3. 300 degrees Celsius is 572 F so yes use the low setting and don't heat one spot for long .
  4. I also have a Case Feeder and even a bullet feeder on my 550 and i love it never had problems with it . And it really does speed up the proces .
  5. No it is not mandatory ,thee holes will do the job just fine .
  6. I would ditch the Case gauge if the rounds fit your barrel and a different Case gauge ! your question could also be read as : i just bought a new pair of shoes but my feet don't fit in them ,how do i get my feet smaller so they do ? for what its wort i never Case cauge , the only thing i do is barrel drop my match ammo , never had a malfunction caused by my ammo .
  7. I love my DAA medium back pack ,every thing you want in a Range bag .
  8. There realy ins'nt any thing to learn abouth a Race holster so i would just buy one and use it from the start no need to begin with a kydex . And yes a DAA race master or racer holster is a good choice .
  9. Very strange there is no difference between (STI)38 super and 9 mm mag bodies . The only difference is 9 mm mags have spacers in them and different followers , so they should fit . You are talking abouth double stack mags ?
  10. Just a barrel for $1500 , what is it made of Gold ?
  11. I may be cheaper but not as easy , when you convert the gun you also have to swap out the breech face , ejector and extractor . So if you are planning to switch often i would go for a topend in .40 or even a complete gun .
  12. Yes thats correct i still am , how do you know that ?
  13. Try to reload a other batch ( brand ) of .223 brass , and see what happens than . Just to rule out it is your brass instead of your press .
  14. For 357/38 you can use the 9 mm set , i know this because some one i know uses 357 ( 158 grain ) bullets to load for 9x19 . I only think you maybe have to use the Dillon powder funnel but don't know this for sure . And i think 44 is close enough to 45 to be working to , i think i will see Bjorn from DAA at practice Sunday so i will ask him than . I'll let you know what he tells me .
  15. Why would a bulletfeeder not work for 38/357/44 on the 650 ?
  16. Why what's wrong with it when it's working flawless .
  17. I use a combo Die(lee) on my 550 with bullet feeder , ones dialed in it works flawless with plated, fmj and coated bullets . And yes the DAA Die is made by Lee . Remember that before dillon came with separate seating and crimp Die's all pistol Die sets used combo seat/ crimp Die's.
  18. The .40 followers i use are the same for .40 and 38 super ( i use the new DAA followers ) . For 9 mm i need to take a little of the back . So i dont think you have to change the followers , just maybe change the feedlips a little for my STI mags this was not necessary but for my SPS mag i had to close them a bit .
  19. I tried to shoot 9 mm out of my .40 mags last sunday and it went perfect , with no modifications to the feedlips . .40 Sti mags oal 1.165 so it can be done !
  20. You don't have to go to 24/ 36 grit of Silicon carbide 60/90 grit is just fine . Courser does not give you more grip , just hurt your hands more .
  21. My gun has the Brazos style cuts ( is not a Brazos slide but a Caspian )and flat topped ( not tri topped )is holding up now for more than 4 years running 9 Major . Almost all of the open guns in 9 Major here in holland ( that had different slide cuts and tri topping ) have cracked within 2 years . Mine is still running my Smith advised me to do this kind of cuts because according to him this is the safest way to lighten the slide with the least change of cracking . Now 4 years later i think he was right .
  22. Factory mags must be just fine , i even shoot 9 mm out of my .40 mags without any isues or modifications .
  23. Custom made magnetic pouch , as the first one on my belt similar to the DAA pouch .
