  1. The TS comes out of the box with a great trigger right about 2#, I installed the bobbed Czechmate hammer, did some polishing and mine is right around 1.5# with an 18# hammer spring and 2mm of travel from stop to stop. With a 13# hammer spring the pull goes down to around a pound, but the break is not as crisp and the hammer doesn't SNAP down with authority like is does with a heavier spring.
  2. In a comparison of CZ and Tanfoglio there is no clear winner (which is why I own both!). CZs take the cake for trigger potential with the TS being best of all, while Tanfoglio has better checkering, more caliber/load options and better finishes.
  3. The TS comes with a fixed rear, but you can swap it for an adjustable. The TS is SAO, as well as the 75B SA, but any of them can be converted to SAO pretty easily with a $9 trigger.
  4. What divion do you want to get the CZ ready for? I took a $500 75B out of yhr box and shot a classifier match 13% higher than my Limited classification. I have CZs for Production, Limited and Open.
  5. The Tactical Sports is a manual safety pistol (and the best CZ available if you ask me)
  6. Talk to those guys, I'll bet they're shooting 124s or heavier.
  7. Ah I see, 600 is not even worth messing with, I would just shoot 'em up! You might be surprised though that load may feel hot in your plastic compact, but might barely make minor. All things which make recoil feel "snappier": -short barrel - check -short recoil system - check -light frame - check -light bullets - check the only think you have mitigating that "snappy" feel is fast powder. If you want I'll sell you a flat rate box full of 147 lead bullets to try out, send me a PM.
  8. Comparing 115s and 147s is apples to oranges, most factory 9mm loads with 115s are sub minor or barely make minor so that's not a valid comparison either. A 115 without a comp is a very snappy round which is why very few USPSA shooters use them. If you're going to reload, you really NEED to use a chrono; I guarantee where you shoot USPSA there are dozens of chrono owners, just ask someone to use theirs. The general rule of thumb without a comp is heavy bullets and fast powder, with a comp it's the opposite: light bullets and slow powder. How many 115s do you have? You might want to sell/trade them to an Open shooter; lots of 38 super guys use 115s, as well as some 9mm guys. I shoot 115s in my Open guns and 147s or 135s in my Production guns.
  9. The OAL makes a huge difference: at 1.137" it took just 7.7gr of SP2 to make 166PF but at 1.160" it took 8.2gr.
  10. From errant eyebrow hairs to parking meters and bad breath, I think he and I have a different set of priorities when SHTF...
  11. Post it in the Chop Shop and see what pops up.
  12. CZ USA recently had the aluminum SA triggers in stock for $9 so I grabbed some; they need to be D&T'd for pretravel (CZC has them done already for $25) and the pin holes need to be reamed out, but then they work great!
  13. I know there are some of you searching for one: http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=392905573
  14. Now this one on the other hand... http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=393958081
  15. Look Grump, I don't know anything about your situation except what you've told me since I've been on this forum and you sound a lot like a guy who used to work for me. He constantly reminded everyone around him that he was the only one at the company who cared about quality and doing the 'right thing'; whatever I did for him was never enough, never what he 'deserved'. So when he went too far I told him life was too short to waste working with people you don't respect. From what you've told me, you don't respect the people you work with right? Obviously they don't respect you if you're the truly the right guy for the job and they pass you over right?
  16. Thanks for the info Bamboo, I don't have any experience with 38 super, so it's all theory for me. I also just loaded my first batch of sub minor 9mm, so hopefully they're good enough to keep em on the paper
  17. Because of the larger case capacity the same bullet at the same velocity will require more of the same powder; more powder leads to more recoil so in theory the 9 will shoot flatter with minor loads than the 38.
  18. http://www.gunpartscorp.com/Products/901010.htm Your barrel has a nub at the top of the breech face like a CZ right? Can you post a picture? Numrich has a great return policy, so if it turns out to not fit you can return it for a full refund, including shipping!
  19. I hate to crash this pity party, but after fifteen years you can't honestly believe there's anyone standing in your way but you can you? Thanks Steve
  20. I shoot 115gr xtreme plated bullets and I have lots, I'll sell you a flat rate box full if you want to try some?
