  1. That's an interesting thought; so this guy is a 'bad guy' for buying merchandise and reselling it for a profit? How is that different than what the local gun store owner does? Is it government licensing which reverses the virtue of his actions? Maybe his physical store front?
  2. Both, yes please! I'd love to compare.
  3. Stuart, it looks like Angus built exactly what I have planned there, so much for originality I have a pretty substantial collection of small frame Tanfoglio Open stuff, once I get some things sorted out and some projects completed I plan to sell a few, I'll give you first dibs!
  4. I hadn't seen those Sean, but they look heavy... Artie, the TS/CM have a unique frame which is sort of a wide bodied small frame; it was designed to compete capacity wise with 2011s in .40. The 75B is small framed and the 97B is large framed.
  5. I know some guys who wear it like a badge of honor that they've been using the same gun and the same gear for their entire USPSA career; me on the other hand, I show up to each match with my latest creation
  6. Those of you who've followed some of my projects know I'm crazy about CZ75 pattern pistols and I'm obsessed with boldly going where no shadetree gunsmith with a drill press and a Dremel has gone before! So naturally with nearly two dozen examples of the platform I've always been curious about the ultimate: the Czechmate. My wife had me just about convinced to buy one, but what would be the fun in that?!? Just buy a gun and shoot it? So I decided to do it my way! I just got my hands on a Shadow Target which I plan to transform into a Czechmate, here's my Photoshop rendering:
  7. Yes, I see this sport as distinct but related hobbies: shooting, reloading, gun smithing and buying gear; priorities/excitement vary by individual. Gun smithing is at the top for me Some guys really geek out on the reloading, others aren't interested in much besides buying stuff, still others look at the gun/ammo as just a tool, they dry fire, live fire, do drills, train and take competitions very seriously.
  8. I've used the airsoft thumb rests and like them, but the bolts are usually crap. I finally just drilled/tapped it and mounted it directly on my Cheely mount:
  9. I'm not going to argue who's preference is superior and I'm certainly not a top shooter in any division, but there are plenty around here to ask.
  10. Different strokes for different folks I guess...
  11. When shooting thumbs forward with big hands the slide stop is a great place to rest your thumb, so my question is: why to you want the slide to lock back? The whole idea of stage planning is to make sure you reload before you run out of ammo. It seems silly to work on changing your grip so you can use the slide stop when no top shooters use the slide stop; why not spend that time working on not running the gun empty mid stage? I ground the nub off the slide stop so it can only be activated manually (long loaded heavy bullets have the tendency to make the slide lock open mid mag )
  12. I have some take off LPA Super Sights to sell: $50 shipped each
  13. Very interesting, as I am aware, Tanfoglio still manufactures the Jerichos and they are merely assembled in Israel.
  14. Nary a Tanfoglio product goes up for sale on the interwebs that I don't know about!
  15. Steve, have you considered a frame mounted CMore? It has a nice, big lens and it's easier to switch back and forth with irons. I drilled and tapped the frame of my TS and used Matt Cheely's Czechmate mount:
  16. This one? http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=189458&hl=%2Beaa Yes, mine started out just like that. The small frame mags are available through EAA.
  17. I know he's a small shop, but he might have someone helping him at this point. Jim Bodkin at Shooter Ready also sells Henning's stuff and is really good with communication, so you might call him first.
  18. Slide stop reloads suck! Use a barney mag, start with 11 in the gun, reload every ten shots and you'll be good
  19. I've got a TS with rubber SP01 grips, perfect for gorilla hands!
  20. Tanfoglio small frame pads from Henning
  21. This was an experiment for my small frames but then I found a better way: ProMag makes a 26 rounder which is actually longer than 171mm (and with a Grams spring/follower actually holds 39!) That I cut down to 171mm. It holds 28.
