  1. I can visualize what you're saying. The hooks are much shallower than stock on the new hammer, so the safety leg of the sear and/or the safety nub must be grind down to the point that the safety will engage. Just make sure this is the combination of parts you want in this particular gun, because if you're still changing things, you may need new parts.
  2. Besides the fact Bud's won't ship off list pistols to CA, that particular small frame doesn't hold any appeal to me. I'll show you: It has a standard frame: -tapped with three holes 25mm on center so modern optic mounts need to be customized. -no frame checkering -no provision for mag well The optic: no words needed. The comp - two port comp available from Numrich The barrel - 9x21 - dead caliber I know, I've become a real snob in my travels ETA: It does have a great and rare trigger/safety though...
  3. http://www.gunsprings.com/index.cfm?page=items&cID=3&mID=73 8.5 too much hammer spring for you? Can't seem to get a light strike on a Federal primer? Try a 7.5# or an 8! Something I realized while swapping springs in my Dan Wesson revolver I thought I would scribe in the annals of the interwebs before I forget is that the hammers springs are compatible with CZs.
  4. Fitting the safety is a part of the game when installing a new hammer or sear.
  5. I use the CR Speed for my CZ, I tried the Race Master but didn't like it so I got another CR Speed to modify for the Tanfo (I'm too cheap to pay full price for the Tanfo version of the CR Speed )
  6. OK, the Limited pistols come with a small mag well to help with speed reloads in competition which require extended base pads, if you remove the mag well you can use mags with the plastic bases, but if you're going to buy base pads, I recomment some from Henning (henningshootsguns.com). You might want to buy his mag well as well as it really improves support hand control of the pistol.
  7. The cuts on this one were done by Rich at Canyon Creek: http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=187929&page=1
  8. Between those two I would go for the 6" GP100, I have a nice right handed Bianchi cross draw/strong side holster for it I'd be willing to sell you
  9. I'm willing to bet these weights are empty, weight six .44mag cartridges and compare to the .357. I don't remember if you've mentioned the threat yet???
  10. It's Large Frame. LF and SF looks the same Really?!? Which calibers are they?
  11. The OP already has dibs on the only 'extra' .40 slide I have at the moment, but anything can happen
  12. I just traded for some Long shot to play around with, maybe I'll grab some more 100gr bullets for steel loads.
  13. There's still hope for you brother, I'm working on a few 'sight tracker' .40 conversion kits for the TS. Stay tuned.
  14. For me, this sport is the convergence of four hobbies: tinkering, shooting, gun collecting and reloading; that's my order of enjoyment.
  15. CZ75 pattern pistols have a slide in teams design as opposed to the frame in slide design of 1911/2011 pistols.
  16. You're kidding right? This is the CZ forum, TS all the way!
  17. If I fall in love with the Awesome Comp, I might work up the guts to weld up the bull barrel version, then drill it and tap it for one of my small frame Open guns.
  18. Yes, the cone on a Limited/Gold Team/Stock II/III has an OD bigger than a 2011 cone, so the comp would have to be custom. I think the best way is to start with a standard slide and have it Opened up to fit the comp you want. 2011 bushing barrels are slightly smaller OD than the large frame barrels so the large frame barrel can be turned down and threaded to work. I've also welded up comps, then re drilled/tapped them to the pitch I need (it's not easy though, I destroyed one comp out of three...)
