  1. I've made major with Longshot, and I've heard you can do it with N105. I use SP2 Don't forget the new CFE Pistol
  2. I use the 2011 (standard) CR Speed WSMII for my TS and 75 based guns, it's been some time since I owned a 97, but I'd bet that's the ticket.
  3. What if some Indians have so much Wampum they don't know what to do with it so they collect dozens of high end bows just for the hell of it?!?
  4. That's definitely a factory hammer, not an EG hammer as stated in the ad...
  5. Here's how I use the term: reloadable - capable of being loaded into a pistol with a closed slide and a round in the chamber. You see, if you can just barely cram the 21st round in the mag, it will not seat in the gun with the slide closed, so the only way to use the mag with 21 rounds in it would be to insert it with the slide locked open, then chamber the 21st round, this mag would then be 20 rounds reloadable or 20+1.
  6. Converting a Limited Pro to SAO is pretty easy, just change the trigger and remove the disco, bing bang boom! http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=426357296 $920

    Comp for CZ 75B

I have many Open guns and 2-3 times as many comps so I haven't put too many rounds through any of them. I actually gave that comp away, but I have two more I plan to experiment with. I'm thinking I might get one all set up, then loan it out to get some rounds through it for testing.
  8. Check out this great thread by CHA-LEE: http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=183028
  9. I would start out with a lighter bullet if I were you. Titewad looks considerably faster than Titegroup when comparing published load data. Hodgdon doesn't have load data for Titewad in any bullet weight but 124gr, but has data for Titegroup in 124 and 147 so if you hold the bullet weight constant, you can come up with a conversion factor to guess how much powder it should take to make minor although charge vs velocity doesn't always behave in a linear fashion once you get out of it's intended range. The max load listed for TW with a 124gr bullet only makes 116pf... ETA: The data actually looks really similar to Clays, but with less pressure, sounds good to me

  11. I won't argue with you there, Production is WAAY to hard for me!
  12. It's been a while since I had a 97B, would someone tell me what material the reverse plug is made of? I'm pretty sure it's steel, but I'd like to confirm.
  13. I never noticed it before so the first video I grabbed of JoJo, sure enough he rarely lets go except to reload:

    Comp for CZ 75B

Here's the scoop on CZ barrels: The 75B, 75B SA, and the P01 (there may be others I'm unaware of) utilize a barrel with an OD of 12.75mm (0.502") for 9mm, but a barrel with an OD of 14mm (0.551") for .40. The SP01, Shadow, Champion, Tactical Sports and Czechmate all use the same OD barrel for 9mm and .40 (14mm). The factory thread for the Czechmate and Champion is M14x1. On the Tanfoglio side, the small frame pistols use 14mm barrels and the large frame pistols use 15mm barrels. The factory thread for small frame is M14x0.75 and the M15x0.75 for large frame. There are some factory comps floating around for small frame Witnesses and occasionally CZ USA will offer Czechmate comps for sale. I have my own taps/dies and thread my own barrels, but it seems to me there are very few gunsmiths who cut metric threads. I have also used comps designed for airsoft pistols with some success although the aluminum is pretty soft, so they might not last for tens of thousands of rounds. Also, the ports are pretty small so they're pretty harsh with major loads I ended up with a few comps from the Springfield custom shop which were threaded 0.540"x40 and since that was a proprietary thread I welded up the hole, re drilled it and tapped it with a M14x0.75 thread to match my barrels; that's an option, but not a very easy one I've also bought the dies for the two 2011 threads: 0.575"x40 (cone) and 0.685"x40 (bull) with the intention of adapting some of the popular comps to our CZs (Brazos ThunderComp II, Dawson's Awesome Comp) so stay tuned for updates You can read about some of my projects here: http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=160906, here: http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=191089&page=1, here: http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=180692, and here's a compilation of all the Open CZs I'm aware of: http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=193481&page=1
  15. I've been working on similar projects on the CZ and Tanfoglio platforms.
  16. I think it's a little silly to equate a caliber preference as an objective matter of "right and wrong".
  17. Yes, are you looking for one in 40???
  18. Yes, the Hunter frame is a large frame identical to the Limited frame except for the finish. It can be converted to 9/40 using a large frame long slide conversion which will come flush with the end of the dust cover like a Limited.
  19. It's all about preference; I came from Olympic style rapid fire pistol with a 47g trigger (yes, that's 1.7oz!) so I'm pretty comfortable with the 1# 7oz trigger on my CZ
  20. I do talk to a lot of new shooters who don't shoot the pistol/division they want for fear of being judged unworthy by more seasoned shooters; I was one of them. I knew I wanted to shoot Open, but didn't want to stroll up to the line with a shiny $3k pistol and tank a classifier, so I shot L10 in an attempt to "earn my stripes".
  21. I'm not a D class shooter, I don't generally flip and catch, or wear a GoPro, but I do object to a general elitism I detected in your comment. As if only A class shooters or better are worthy of recording their shooting or imitating the cool kids after.
