  1. I like to hook my fist on the rear sight to rack the side which is fortunate because with a slide mounted decocker safety BE, there isn't really anywhere else to do it without activating the decocker.
  2. IF?!? please see exhibit A: http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=196038&page=1 That's a quaint idea, but it's just not tenable with such strong market forces.
  3. Got any round nosed bullets? They have a much longer ogive (the same barrel can take RN out to 1.185", but HP hit at 1.12")
  4. I've never seen it, is the front sight milled into the block or removable like the TS?
  5. I have two in the safe and two in the mail
  6. You can't blame me for everything Dean, we're the same kind of crazy! For the extremely budget minded or those with smaller hands, there are still a few surplus Jericho 941s (AKA Baby Eagle/Uzi Eagle/Desert Eagle Pistol) on GB for cheap: http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=426275632 although I already cherry picked the two best The fire control parts of the Jericho are identical to the Stock II except for the long hammer strut which it shares with the CZs (to it's advantage).

I imagine they're not exactly flying off the shelves for that kinda dough...
  8. Yes it's stupid, that's why I shoot Open. Open and Limited are the divisions for people like me and you Eli.
  9. I know everyone is having fun searching for their coveted Tanfoglios, but I'm a cheapskate so I wanted to share some food for thought: yes, a Shadow has the potential for a better trigger pull than an SP01 so they're often passed over by Productions shooters on the hunt for the finest pistol out there, BUT a fully tuned SP01 has a better trigger than a fully tuned Stock II (you could call it my opinion, but I call it an objective fact ). SOOO if you're a Production gamer who's been frustrated by the scarcity of Stock II/IIIs and Shadows, there are more and more SP01s in stock every day: http://oakhillguns.com/pistol/cz-usa/czu-cz75-sp-01-9mm-da-18rd-ns-1850.html Once you've fully customized your SP01 (using my easy to follow instructions http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=191773) you will be the envy of your buddies for less than a grand!

KY GunCo just dumped this in my inbox: http://www.kygunco.com/dan-wesson-elite-series-havoc-38-super-pistol-425in-21-round-black-63892?utm_source=Newsletter&utm_medium=Email&utm_campaign=Hot Quick, somebody buy it an let us know
  11. So by that rationale you could definitely buy a 10mm and go .40 right?
  12. Here's what I've experienced, which seems to be somewhat typical among USPSA shooters: when I first started I wanted the heaviest gun with the softest load possible because it felt more comfortable to shoot, I felt more in control; as I got stronger, better at calling my shots, seeing the sights and learning to dance with the rhythm of the pistol I began to experiment with lighter guns and felt faster. A lot of this has to do with shooting Open as well; I shot a match with my long slide Tanfoglio and 147gr bullets over Clays and felt like I was shooting in slow motion. My Tactical Sport Open gun is very heavy (52oz) and very soft (even with 115gr bullets doing 1,500 fps!), but it is a tank. I've began to experiment with lighter guns and while I don't have any ready to become my primary match gun yet, I look forward to trying them out.
  13. I'm not a Glock guy, but I run an 8# spring in my CZs/Tanfoglios; it might work, but I wouldn't be surprised to see some stovepipes.

By "open up" I don't mean side ports, but lengthening the top port. I'll work on some pictures of my CM project, but I did the same thing to the three port comps for my TS project:
  15. I say skip the comp for now, add the dot, use ~3gr of your titegroup under a 115gr and a really light recoil spring. I think you'll like it
  16. I just found this video, I don't have time to watch it, but if anyone does watch it be sure to let us know if it's any good:
  17. Get the 650!!! sell a gun if you have to, but you won't regret it. I started loading on a friend's 550 and recently bought a 650 and LOVE IT! I was loading 120-150 rounds per hour on the 550, the other night I loaded 300 rounds in 40 including setup and tear down; there's no comparison.
  18. stock 2 9mm 2.jpg Stock 2 9mm.jpg Man...I quite like those grips. Looks much better than trying to grip tape the old style factory wood ones. Any idea where to get them? Just call EAA, I'm sure they'll be very helpful
  19. .40 is the minimum caliber for major in Limited so 9 or 38 would still be scored minor regardless of power factor unless you shoot Open. Additionally I don't recommended shooting 9 major without a compensator; it's tough on you as well as your pistol. Here's a link to the PDF rulebook: http://www.uspsa.org/document_library/rules/2014/Feb%202014%20Handgun%20Rules.pdf
  20. They're clearly a "sighting aid", the rule says nothing about keeping the hands free, it says explicitly states nothing but your hands.
  21. There are some large frame Stock IIIs in the US.
