  1. I've loaded 9.5gr of HS6 under a 115 RN @ 1.185" in 9x19 for a PF of 181.
  2. Come on darkvibe, that's not very sciency of you . There are plenty of ways to determine how hard they are, how about weighting them? measuring them? melting them down and analyzing the metal? If you're not interested enough to look into it just say so, but to say there's just no other way is a disservice to rational empiricism. I'll admit I've heard enough anecdotal evidence to be curious, but as I load 9 major with Winchester SPP and have never had issues with breach face erosion or light strikes, my motivation is low.
  3. SPP is what I use, none of my slides look like that

Are you seeing much effect in muzzle rise from such a fast powder?
  5. You can estimate a 5% drop in velocity per inch of barrel length.
  6. A dab of nail polish actually works pretty well too.

Cool Carey, what load do you use?
  8. Do you like heavy guns? The TS weighs about the same as an Edge with a steel grip.
  9. With a serial number AE00901 that 9x21 on GB is really old! I'm guessing ~1990.
  10. That looks like an old school small frame, right?
  11. It was, by Bill Sahlberg of Higher Capacity.
  12. Yes, I bought my first one from you They're fairly ugly at the weld and I'm pretty sure he uses a magic marker to "cold blue" it, buy they both run 100% for me. My 38 one holds 29+1 and the 9mm holds 30+1 (the tube is a hair longer and shaved at the back of the feed lips to fit the gauge).
  13. Burn rate charts vary, but I agree AO seems to be faster than 3n38; I know from experience 3n38 is almost indistinguishable from SP2 and Vectan says AO is faster than SP2. Remember also that AO is a single base flake powder, I'd expect it to be similar to 800X.
  14. EAA sells a factory big stick, but there's no base pad available in the US to maximize it's capacity.
  15. Your 40 GT is a large framed pistol which means the ejection port is the same size for all calibers (9, 40, 38, 10, 45). Literally all you have to do is get 10mm mags and cut the chamber for the extra brass, but JMB is right that you can load nearly all the same loads with 40 brass and not worry about the chamber. The only issue I can imagine is if you want to load really long with a short bullet like 135gr.
  16. I don't think the spring you're talking about is the same, and if you use that follower on a spring not designed for it, it probably will tip.
  17. True, but Akai will stroke it for you
  18. You want the spring/follower kit: http://czcustom.com/czcspringandfollowerkit10.aspx And the spring plug is $9 from CZUSA if I remember correctly.
  19. If you're not concerned about fitting in the 141.25mm mag gauge you can use the long pads, 18rnd tubes, CZC springs/followers and get 25. As far as easy on, easy off, you might sand the bottom of your frame to loosen the fit because all my CZC mag wells have fit very tight.
