  1. I think this matter should be settled at the next meeting of the American Custom Gunmakers' Guild!
  2. What you could do is grind the nub off the inside of the slide stop so it can't catch the slide. That mod may or may not be legal (you can read Appendix D4 and decide for yourself), but I don't think anyone would bother you over it.
  3. The breech face on the slide is too small for a 40 case.
  4. No, you just need to take the top end off, remove the safety, sear cage (complete) and you can access the detent.
  5. You can drop a 9mm barrel into it (I even have a 6" barrel for sale ) and you're correct that few parts cross over between frame sizes.
  6. I cut mine at two angles: I also used my sliding compound mitre saw with an abrasive blade: No guts no glory!
  7. I don't think so. Production rules are inclusive rather than exclusive so if you don't see it in the book, you can't do it.
  8. That's right, just a pin without the slide stop leaver.
  9. Tanfoglio high end Production offerings: Limited Pro Stock I/II/III
  10. It look to me like some of the plating is being stripped away as the bullet leaves the throat of the chamber, stack up a few rounds worth and that ring is the result. My guess is not enough flare before seating the bullet and/or too much crimp (with plated bullets it should be just enough to remove the flare ~0.378"). Jacketed bullets are less sensitive to those things (and more expensive), but you should be able to shoot plated bullets (I've shot over 10K).
  11. Jody, I'm fairly certain the dovetail for 19/2011 is a hair smaller than the LPA cut for the TS. If you want an adjustable rear for the TS I have one I'm not using I'll let go for $60 shipped.
  12. I can see your confusion, the 6" slide (which is gone) was uncut. I also mentioned a Limited .40 slide which is lightened.

    CZ hammer

I've reshaped the hooks of the factory hammer and achieved a crisp sub 2# trigger on a 75SA. And no, you don't need to fill the hole.
  14. I wouldn't do anything without an actual gauge to work with
  15. Just internet hearsay, but it makes sense: http://thefiringline.com/forums/archive/index.php?t-417220.html
  16. This isn't mine, it belongs to a friend on the other side of the world.
  17. I've got a Open Tactical Sport idea rattling around my head that's going to need some drastic lighting done, so I'm thinking along these lines:
  18. I've got a blued 6" Hunter slide with a .40 barrel installed with less than 50 rounds though it I'd like to trade for a 9mm Limited slide. I also have a lighted .40 Limited slide I might trade for a 9mm slide plus a few bucks depending. Let me know if you want to do a little horse trading.
  19. That's the thought I'm operating on. My only evidence is empirical, but it's good enough for me, I'm happy using SPP and my breech faces are perfect
