  1. Brad, my son and I will be there.....you can squad with us. The range has a really cool setup with a walk way/road down the middle with bays on each side....no worry about wandering downrage :-) You can't miss me....I will be the fat guy with gray hair and my son will be wearing his Team Infinity shirt. Lee and Nic Neel
  2. While there are ways to import data into EZWinscore, none of them are supported, or a good idea in my opinion and the squadding file will not work. It will only update existing entries. Lee
  3. I am currently building a 4.5" gun with a Brazos Thundercomp 2. I won't have any holes in the barrel and I will cut off the last port of the comp. If it doesn't work the way I want I will have Gary Natale make a comp with smaller ports to optimize the amount of gas available with a 9 Minor load. I also plan to use Winchester Autocomp as I believe (just my opinion, no need for comment back informing me of anyones favorite powder) it provides more gas than other powders specifically designed for Major power factors. Lee
  4. Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.....that's because they never saw a fat guy move so fast except to the buffet line! I had a great time, all the stages and staff were very nice. To come in 10th at such a large match is a good deal. Thanks to all who helped put it on. Nic won high Junior in Open, I think Cody Tucker won High Junior in Production and I think Teepy Porter won High Junior in Limited... Lee
  5. Haaaaaaaaaaa.....I guess it was wishful thinking when I saw it yesterday.....I could have sworn it said April 13th.....good. I hope your classifiers are processed you make it as some classification to A6. Lee
  6. Appearantly Rob types faster than I do.... Lee
  7. Uh, it updated yesterday......it is always done after the 10th of the month. Usually 12-15th. Lee
  8. I enter stages as provided by the match director into my master Palm. We register most people online before a match and I enter them into EZWinscore with squadding done at that time. We have a sign-in verification/Squad list printed for those who registered online with spots open on squads available to walk-ins. Walk-ins sign up via a regular sign-in list and are added to EZWinscore/squads as they come in. Stages are sucked into EZWinscore and competitors are push from/to the master Palm with 10 Palm walk-ins defined for those real late comers. Master palm setup is beamed to additional palms to match the number of squads. All my Palms have SD cards and StageScore is set to write to them to insure no data is lost in the event a Palm dies. Each of my Palms has an external battery pack and will last ALL day IF it is turned on. Each squad gets a Palm and a thermal printer. (Squads I like get a Bluetooth printer, I only have 3) and then everyone is off to the show. At the end of the match, I beam from the squad palms to the master palm and then suck the data into EZWinscore. Scores are uploaded to USPSA as we drive from the range a local eatery. Never again will I score via paper and spend 2-3 hours after the match entering data manually. After Area 5 I will have Palms and printers for sale. I will keep enough for local matches but the rest has got to go. Daddy needs a new Open gun and I have WAY, WAY too many Palms and Printers. PM me if you have any interest.

  10. SV can make it weight just under 43 oz...
  11. Instead of: Front Sight: Green Tritium dot, .110 wide Rear Sight: Novak® Green Tritium dot For a competition gun I would get a fiber optic front sight and the rear Infinity ATZ with fiber optic in it....green appearantly. Other than that, looks great! Lee
  12. The ROs for sure, but even more so the people behind the scenes, the ones that don't even get their hands shaken by the shooters. The setup and design crews, the stats people, the runners, the prop designers, the guys and ladies who took a week or more off work to set everything up and don't even get that handshake at the end.... Also to the MD, there is a thankless job that, at it's best, you only hear bitching here and there. The MD, prop designer, setup/design crew is ROBERT PORTER and Jeff, he set this match from start to finish. The other folks behind the scene are the ladies that do the food Tiff, Janie, Pam, Sandra(also registration)they did a great job, stats and scoring Lee Neel and son Nick, Ken Cobb(range whore) and David L. I wish I could Take credit for the match but I can't I just did RM and sponsor stuff. We will be shooting these stages a couple of times in our club matchs for the next month or 3, if you want to come out and shoot the stages in good weather. My sponsors came thru with so much stuff, please be sure to thank them. Steven "I just did RM and sponsor stuff." haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.....I know from personal experience of many a match I have helped run that is a huge task. THANKS! Lee
  13. The cable option would work IF there were portable printers readily available and IF it wasn't necessary to have external battery packs attached for all day use. A bluetooth solution seems to be most probably to speed printing. I am actually working that aspect right now. The issue still is the availability of affordable Bluetooth capacle printers and Palm's with Bluetooth. Most of mine are Tungsten T2's and do have it but several I own do not.
  14. I'm sure it had to be operator error but there were a number of R.O.s that didn't get scores for 7 out of the 12 stages they shot on Thursday. They were not given paper copies either so they were just out of luck. One of the R.O.s didn't get a score for a single stage out of the 12 that he shot. After reshooting several of the stages Thursday due to mechanical errors, he didn't have enough ammo to reshoot the entire match Sunday afternoon. No one let them know for sure that the scores were "lost" & could NOT be found until Sunday, by the way. Then one of the officials said this to him "well, it wasn't like you expected to win, anyway"???????. Needless to say, that R.O. will not be back to help at this match, for sure. It was his first ever major match to attend & his first ever time to help R.O. Hopefully it won't also be his last major to shoot. I would say it is a safe bet he doesn't care for Palm scoring at all! MLM The lost scores were not a fault of the Palm or the Stagescore software.....multiple processes were unfortunately missed and resulted in lost data. It is/was a training issue and as I could not be there Thursday I could not provide such prior to the RO shoot. Lee
  15. I bet it won't be in March! May/June I would think....though nothing guarantees perfect weather....it is Texas! If you don't like the weather, just wait a day or so.... Lee
  16. ALL, the match results for the 2010 Double Tap Championship have temporarily been posted under Local Match Results of club NT23. Robert has been at the range all day helping with a Manny Bragg class (giving back his time yet again), thus the reason for the delayed results. The match results will be posted to the Major Match section as soon as USPSA and Robert get things straightened out. Temp DTC 2010 Results Lee
  17. Well, there are good and bad with both methods of scoring. At this match though I think you would have to agree writing anything on paper in 30 degree weather with 30+ mph winds and rain/snow/ice pelts would have not been any better. Better training....hum.....ALL the RO's were providing ALL I could do from a far....3 detailed videos on the use on the Palms and Printers, links to the documentation, and a whole day (at the least) to use the setup during the RO shoots. ALL of the RO's that I heard/saw having printer issues were those who would/did not have the printers in a box which provided sheilding from the sun light. Those who did have them in a box or somehow sheilded had many less problems. Also, as far as the speed...it takes 30 seconds to print 2 copies. No more, no less (save the occasion blip and those printers not in a box).....writing out the scores manually, having the RO and Shooter (which has most likely wandered off anyway) sign the sheet is not any quicker overall. While I am sure there are some scoring issues that were not corrected at the range, we only had 10 scores that were manually corrected. Out of the 3000+ scores, that is 0.003%. NO hand written scoring method is that accurate. But, to each his own. My last comment on this thread is, if you haven't scored a Major (200+ shooter 10+ stage) match yourself, you have no idea of the amount of work savings and accuracy increase to be had. Despite the weather, I had a fantastic time and I am glad to volunteer my time and equipment to help put on such an event. To Robert, Steve, David, and all the other local crew that helped setup the match, THANK YOU! Those were some of the best stages I have ever shot! Lee
  18. Guys, we know everyone wants full results and we will post shortly...we all had a helluva weekend and just ran out of gas after the match was over, and had a 3 1/2 drive home as well. 19. WOW!....always been afraid to jump out of a perfectly good airplane.
  20. I think it was my holster that helped him win! Good job HB!
  21. I like this one.....slap an SV magwell on it and shoot!
  22. Wolf primers are fine as long as you don't have a super light mainspring. TG will absolutely smoke with Moly/Poly coated bullets more than N320....Ramshot Comp is about the same as N320 as far as the amount of smoke is concerned.
  23. Lindsay needs more Coke money!
  24. I have never own a MAC so I won't talk bad about them. I have however had laptops since they were suitcases. My newest is a HP Elitebook with Windows 7 and I have no need to look elsewhere. It is fantastic. Make sure you have a good anti-virus/spyware program that automatically gets it's own updates and you will be fine with a Windows 7 box.
