After viewing load data on this and other "reputable" forums, I too have noticed the discrepancies in VV's data! Must be the 6" test barrel?
Thanks for your reply!
IIRC, BarSto still offers a gunsmith fit and a semi-drop in.....
I installed the semi in my G17G4, and fitting was fairly easy with great lockup:

Appreciate the VV info.
Starting to work up some test loads for new Springfield RO using VV N320, and have loaded some test rounds with 5.0gr @ 1.250" with coated 200gr LSWC based on Wilson's IDPA practice load. Hope to test/chrono this weekend. Have also noticed claimed accuracy on another forum using 4.6gr N320.
Any experience with N320 from your end?
Thanks!
I was inquiring about using a G34G4 RSA in a G35G4 back in late 2012, and a GSSF member stated the G35 was 17#, and the G17/G34 RSA was "about 1 pound lighter".....
Still haven't seen any factory published data to confirm/deny.
Don't know if it's considered "too expensive"; but have been extremely satisfied with the GemPro 250. Lifetime warranty and accurate to 0.02gr.

PS: Just noticed that it appears to be the unit that Brian sells as ron169 pointed out above.
Highly recommended.
I also reduced the expander on my funnels. Radically reduced the "catch" on the upstroke.

Did you ever offer details of your modded funnel on the forum? Got an XL650, and I would appreciate any advise on your mod!!
Thanks!
Using all Redding dies for 9mm in the XL650 including the micrometer seating and crimp dies. IMO, the micrometer dies are worth the additional cost; especially when changing bullet profiles and/or brass headstamps. Once the exact mic settings are established, repeatability is a simple adjustment.
Sizing is excellent with the competition sizing die; but does require perfect alignment of the case insertion/shell plate indexing. Still get the occasional mis-alignment which causes the brass to catch on bottom of die........
Have heard others experience the same with EGW undersize die.
b1gcountry: If you don't mind the Series 80 configuration, Colt has the two-tone 08011XSE Combat Elite in the $1000-$1100 range..... Saw one at a LGS for $1080 + tax. This is the one I was referring to: http://www.colt.com/Catalog/Pistols/CombatElite%C2%AE.aspx
Sorry, haven't had time to develop anything for the 124/125 weights. Still working on couple of different powders with Zero JHP and Bayou coated 147s. Just not enough hours in the day....

Believe you hit the nail on the head! I had not noticed it was an hb bullet! Good eyes!
G17, find you some different/solid base 200gr lead and try again! Start with 4.5 - 4.6gr @ 1.250 and go from there.
IMO, based on verifying your powder drop, bullet weight, and bullet diameter, I would be looking for another chrono to test with.
Can't think of anything else left in the equation.....
Good luck!

IMO, if your loading 5.1gr of N320 @ 1.245-1.252 with "any" properly sized (.452) 200gr lead bullet, you should be pushing 900fps out of the 5" barrel!
Realize your after a 170PF, but I'm wondering how accurate your chrono data is? Also, do you feel confident that your actually throwing 5.1gr? Have you checked the sizing of your 200gr LRN?
Not doubting your abilities; but something just doesn't add up.......
My testing with CFE Pistol behind 147g Zero JHP has yielded excellent accuracy in my G17G4 @ 1.120 for GSSF competition load. 3.9gr produced 130.24PF.
Switching to the BarSto barrel, results with 147 Missouri and Bayou LFP are adequate for practice (poor accuracy); but I can say the recoil impulse is higher for both FMJ and lead bullet types when compared to VV N320!
IMO, CFE-P, being a slower burning powder, might produce better results with smaller weight bullets or driving the FMJ 147's at higher velocities.
Have to say it meter's through the Dillon XL650 powder measure with excellent results.
