  1. Will it fit? Yes...... The Pinned Classic L2 before final blending/smoothing.
  2. These might be an option to consider: https://www.shopfcwguns.com/marvel-precision-by-fcw/marvel-accesories-3470/marvel-dry-fire-device-1846339 And you can easily make something similar with shok-buffs if you have some laying around.....
  3. Same here! Relied on the eyes for MANY years without issue. With the Apex 10 before the latest primer system upgrade, and especially with automation, a primer inserted sideways or not inserted at all, usually required stopping to disassemble the top end of the primer delivery; or at worse removing/sliding up the shell plate! Very time consuming/aggravating! My Dillon measures have ALWAYS been super reliable with EXCELLENT drop consistency using 9mm/ VV powders. So after getting the Apex 10, I decided to keep life simple and stick with what works vs learning a new powder delivery system!
  4. While the Primer Orientation Sensor was my biggest draw for sensors and automation, I too looked forward to the powder check sensor which would eliminate the visual guesswork of a camera/display setup on the RL1100. However, later on I found out the M7 digital powder check, like others, allowed a +/- 2.0g variance. Not what I want using fast VV powders for 9mm! But there is a solution, by converting to the Keyence laser system similar to the ones sold here: https://rockcanyonmunition.com/shop/ols/products/rcm-laser-powder-check-pro While a bit on the expensive side, my "piece of mind" has me eventually going that direction as I feel the digital variance would be in the range I need: +/- 0.02%! And there's versions for stand alone, Dillon, and Mark 7.
  5. Have no idea why Dillon and others count the Tool Head's die stations only in the XL750 and smaller; but count the case feed station as one (8) in the Commercial machines. https://www.dillonprecision.com/reloader-buying-guide.html Mark 7 also considers the case feed station as one of "10". Could very well be whether the tool head is stationary or it moves with the ram/handle...... A .pdf of Dillons Stations and recommended Configuration: RL1100 Stations.pdf
  6. @nkresho I hear there's a lot of sales going on at Mark 7! You'll love that automation! PS: if you go automated, remember case retaining spring tension set correctly is very important; especially with 9mm, etc.
  7. 30 plus years of XL650s and an RL1100. After 2 years with the RL1100 and realizing the benefits of what 10 Stations would provide, I bought an Apex 10! Finest press I've had in my possession! Ran it for a year, then went fully automated with sensors. So, if your a good learner with good skills, I would definitely say buy the Apex 10. Run it for a year manual, or however long it takes to master the machine's likes and dislikes, then go automated! The latest version Apex 10 has the new billet Priming System that has fully addressed some previous weaknesses! And I can honestly say that the Mark 7 Technical Customer Service is second to none! Also, if automation interests you, watch a couple of videos of the Dillon chain drive automation system; then watch a couple of the Mark 7 Digital automation system. The results will speak for themselves. I basically do single pass loading with fully pre-processed, roll sized 9mm brass! Good luck!
  8. I decided to grab one from Matt as I needed it in SS finish. Should have some findings next week. Good luck with your sale!
  9. From Red Hill Tactical: https://www.redhilltactical.com/1911-and-2011-Holsters-3-Gun_p_24.html HTHs!
  10. Putting together a 1911-22 pistol to enjoy in SCSA type events while I wait to recover from the Cervical Spinal surgery that has me sidelined from Limited Optics..... Have dedicated an old S70 GC frame for this project. Have milled the frame tangs for a .250" radius using the EXCELLENT Krebs jig. (Thanks Aaron!) Wanting to install a Cheely SS pinned GS to the frame; and have been told the "E2" version will not fit. So looking to see if anyone has insight on if the "Classic L2" version would fit? https://ccgunworks.com/pinned-classic-l2-beavertail/ Appreciate any feedback!
  11. A lot of adjustability and compatibility IMO........ https://www.davincimachining.com/optic-frame-mount-for-2011/
  12. An older brochure I came across that has some pretty good info regarding coatings and their properties. Not sure if this Company is still in business; but thought the contents might help! Armor-Guard-and-S-Line-Brochure-Richter-Precision-Inc-2015.pdf
  13. @Boomstick303: OEM Spring Loaded Case retainer; comes on the RL1100..........
  14. @shredoffers some great advice for keeping the slightly over-cut safeties! A bit longer sear replacement and your in business with having to re-fit that previous safety!
  15. @Jeffsbooks Have a good friend that was having multiple FTFs and FTEs with a new Rival using his regular reloads. I gave him about 40 of my MAXX match reloads which used 4.7g N330 behind the PD 124 JHP V1s, and it performed flawlessly. These loads were in the ~138PF range. Bottom line the Canik was way over-sprung with regards to the recoil spring. IMO, it was sprung for factory NATO 124g ammo. And if I fully understand your desire to shoot "bullseye target" type competition, I don't think you'll find too many Caniks or any striker fired pistols being used by serious Bullseye competitors......... You'll find plenty of feedback on the Canik in this section of the Forum: https://forums.brianenos.com/forum/208-canik/
  16. Hey @ddc Excellent article that may help with your install: https://www.harrisoncustom.com/images/uploaded/pdf/Extreme Service Thumb Safety_June 2016.pdf
  17. Like others have posted, you need to give as much detailed info as possible concerning pistol used, exact bullet specs, etc! What weight recoil spring is currently be used in your pistol? If determining YOUR correct OAL is truly a mystery, this article will definitely help: https://czfirearms.us/index.php?topic=103620.0 Had a Sig P320 MAXX with aftermarket KKM barrel, and it liked the 124g PD JHP bullets doing ~138-139 PF. This was with an OAL of 1.080" using 4.7g N330! IMO, if your experiencing "cycle failures" and your pistol is sprung correctly, you may need to increase your powder charge of N330 just a bit. If your using a 124g JHP or FMJ quality bullet, take a look at the VV tables for 125g bullets using a 1.102" OAL. You'll notice load ranges going up to and above 5.0g using N330.k HTHs............
  18. The OP stated he was doing 9mm and 223.......... For cases to .338 Lapua? https://fwarms.com/shop/reloading/decapping-dies/f-w-arms-full-size-primer-popper-auto-case-centering-decapper-deprimer/
  19. This will exceed your expectations! None better! https://fwarms.com/shop/reloading/decapping-dies/fw-arms-primer-popper-auto-case-centering-decapper-deprimer/
  20. I realize it's a long shot; but looking for someone that could sell/rent/loan me one of these EGW beavertail cutting fixtures: https://egwguns.com/krebs-beavertail-fixture Thanks for any replies!
  21. Hey Cuz: Even though I got out of competing with striker fired pistols, I sold the MAXX to a competitor friend that's still using the TI guide rod and ISMI springs with the closed end towards the breech face. Probably doesn't make a lot of difference; but after talking at length with the ISMI techs, I was confident with following their procedure.
  22. @Insectguy As @SnipTheDogmentioned above, if the 13904 Bellcrank Screw is adjusted properly, there is no play/clearance for the #17839 Bellcrank Plate to allow the white cube to do anything but slide along with the powder bar! Also, as mentioned above by @ddc, does your powder measure have any cracks around the Bellcrank mounting area???? Does your powder measure have the updated Bellcrank assembly? https://dilloncdn.com/magento/manuals/powder-measure-bellcrank-upgrade-instructions.pdf As you stated above: IF your bellcrank assembly is traveling TOO FAR, then your powder measure is adjusted TOO LOW on the toolhead! We'll be glad to offer further help when you have some pics and additional info posted!
  23. Even though your new to this forum, I feel confident you understand the "Search" feature........... https://forums.brianenos.com/forum/45-the-gallery/
