Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I was researching aftermarket Glock slides, all of which are made of stainless steel. I came across a post in another forum in which an individual claimed galling issues with his Lone Wolf slide and the metal rails in his Glock frame. I know that similar (hardness??) stainless steel surfaces can gall (I have seen this happen on stainless Caspian slides and receivers). Before I took the plunge and purchased a Lone Wolf slide I wanted to see if anyone else had experienced this issue as alleged by this other individual. Chris
  2. Thinking about building a gun using a Lone Wolf Stainless Steel Slide - one of my concerns is galling. For those of you who have or used a Lone Wolf Slide has galling been an issue?? Thanks Chris
  3. The early Trijicon RMR'S had issues holding there zeros. About a year ago I talked the LE Rep who stated that they had identified and corrected the problem. He gave me a serial number that started the new upgrades - I think it was around 86000. he also stated that the dual illumination RMR's never exhibited the issue, only the battery operated ones.
  4. I cut a coil or two off the magazine spring of My Dawson 10 round 9mm mags to enable the first few rounds to feed correctly. Worked fine after that...
  5. The steel target (home made - large silhouette) had been well used and was greatly bowed in the middle and hung from chains. Houston Police Department about 1982.
  6. Over the years I have seen several people injured by slugs off of steel. In one of our cadet classes many years ago a chunk of slug came back off a steel target (50 yards) and penetrated the chest cavity of one of the cadets, before anyone could do anything the shooter fired another round and another cadet was also injured although much less seriously.
  7. Was there a substantial gain in accuracy with your Glock 17 Gen 4 over the stock barrel? That kind of where I am now...
  8. Does the gun run 100% - any problems with hollow points?
  9. I have some gunsmithing abilities for several years I built 9mm 1911's, but always had a real gunsmith fit the barrel. I am into Glocks now and would like to obtain a slightly oversize after market Glock barrel and fit it myself and then see is there is a substantial improvement in accuracy. In fitting an oversize Glock barrel is it simply fitting the top of the barrel to fit into the slide by either shortening the barrel hood or the leading edge of the barrel where it locks up into the slide; and then possible tweaking the chamber depth? Thanks Chris
  10. Does anyone have any experience with the Ghost 3.5 EVo Elite Connector? Thoughts and opinions?

I really like the machining work that was done on your Glock slide!
