  1. Model: MGP164015B Are these the correct magazines from Greg Cote that would work with the Freelance basepads? I ordered a 51738 Pro Match Ultra today. I want to get the magazine situation under control.
  2. Nice work! I have been toying with the idea of building one of these. I keep going back and forth between building and buying.
  3. I've never had any luck seating and crimping in one die with lead or coated bullets. I would always get some shaving. Try seating and crimping in separate steps.
  4. This is how my fingers look when I load. It does reappear when loading mags but not as much.
  5. We had an awesome time. Tough stages. Friendly and helpful staff. I will do my best to attend every year.
  6. At the local monthly match there are a few guys who shoot open guns. Rarely do they make it through a stage much less a match without some sort of malfunction. I'm not super familiar with open guns so I don't know exactly what is going on, but it looks like it takes all of the fun out of it. There are 1 or 2 that have it ironed out and make it look easy though.
  7. Did it last year and had a blast. Wouldn't think about missing it this year. Great match, Great cause!
  8. I wish I could help out but I have the same problem. The sights come down nice but the post is always touching the left side of the rear notch. I am assuming that it has something to do with my grip. I have a few things that I want to try now that the weather will let me get out and shoot again.
  9. I love it. my brother, son and myself look forward to it all month. We have a blast. We shot today as well. If I would have seen your post yesterday I would have said hi.
  10. I was just getting ready to start using my targets and was trying to think of an easy way to adhere these to a board. Thanks for the tip.
  11. I shot Limited-10 when I first started with a stock G22. You just might need an extra mag or 2 and you'll get the benefit of the major PF scoring. Either way you'll have a blast and learn a lot. Once you get rolling you'll have a better idea of what direction you're going to head equipment wise.
  12. Thanks, I emailed him and he took care of it. These guys volunteer their time and I don't like bugging them to switch my info around because I got all willy nilly when I registered.
  13. What if you deleted the email? Is there a way to get the email re-sent? I would like to switch divisions and I have already deleted the registration email.
  14. That group looks good to me! I have found that the more I shoot one gun the better I get with that particular firearm. Maybe try just using one gun for a few range sessions. See how that affects your group.
  15. My internet connection is dismal. Its all choppy. I keep getting 65-80 year old reaction times. I'm only 39. Although it is 5:30 am and I'm only through 1/2 of my coffee. Who knows, I'll try later and see how it goes. I can do sub 1.0 sec draws consistently.
  16. I am wondering if her finger was on the trigger while the gun was in the holster.
  17. I've been using Promo/Red Dot in .40 with similar results. Burns clean, meters well and no trouble making major PF. Promo is pretty cheap and easy to find as well.
  18. I have used it. By the time I made it to major, the recoil was a little excessive for USPSA. I do use it to replicate my carry ammo for practice in my carry gun.
  19. Welcome aboard from another NE Ohioan
  20. I just ordered a couple of USPSA sets. I am going to make a run at A class this year (looowww B right now) and these are going to help.
  21. Correspondence with Alliant leads me to believe that Promo has a broader density specification, also, though it's been a while since I read their reply. In any case, I've used Promo in every pistol/revolver caliber for which I reload (.380 ACP to .45 Colt), and have never had less than very good results. In all but a few situations, I had very VERY good results. It is clean, economical, and more versatile than I first expected. I tend to shy away from using it in very large cases, like the .45 Colt, because I am paranoid about double-charges (I prefer Unique or Herco in it for this reason), but if nothing else is available, Promo will certainly work and work well. The little competition in which I've engaged while using Promo made me appreciate it more. It is very much an "unsung hero" among prospective competition powders. I've had the same results. Promo does well in 40 major for me. There are a few good threads here about Red Dot and Promo.
  22. For me, it's a stage that is challenging but not overwhelming. It's no fun if it's all open targets from easy positions and it's downright discouraging when it's so complicated that I'm missing targets altogether.
  23. You should be able to download the 2002 or 2003 Alliant reloading manual. It has data for Red Dot in the 40.
