  1. But the burning question I have is, if we gig a mess of frogs, is Hundley gonna cook them?
  2. My M3000 like the Walmart Federal bulk 3 dram, 1 1/8oz 7 1/2 shot. Never failed yet. Slugs are a different story. Fiocchi is a no go, but I've had some luck with Remington 1200 fps Sluggers. It's probably had 500 or 600 rounds through it so far.
  3. How did you know you are working on Stage 4? Did I miss an email from the boss?Am 5 with meSent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  4. I'm wondering, is it OK to plug my shotgun magazine to hold 8? I read somewhere a spent hull under the cap would work. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  5. Got mine last week! But a question to Pat or Kurt. Do you have them bedded like for a service rifle, or something different? And does the bedding hold up for the abuse we dish out on a rifle?
  6. Careful with the no headed targets.....them Kentucky boys might come after ya! We can deal with a no head target. As long as it's only one. Bring one of those cardboard German helmet cutouts, I'll fix it for ya.......
  7. For USPSA, I just cinch my belt like a girth strap on an easy keeper. But for 3 gun, with AR mag, two pistol mags, 3 shotshell caddies, and a holster, suspenders are a must.
  8. The German M1935 helmets would suit me perfectly right now! Don't let the turtles go to waste!
  9. It may be that I just march to a different drummer, but the old girl just screams to be taken out of the bays and into her natural environment. Either way, I'll be having a blast!
  10. I'm thinking...Who runs and talks kinda sssslllloooow? But wait... is it better to have a slow moving RO so I can keep up....or a quick mover so we don't time out? I tell you what....set'em up and I'll shoot'em...that is the extent of my stage plan at this time. I'm thinking about stage 2 as well. Limited to 25 rifle rounds. I wonder if one needs all 25, or one just cannot have more than 25. Guess that's what pockets are for when you shoot in multiples of 8.
  11. 3-gun Shooters will probably agree with you. Your wife or friends who don't shoot and understand the sport much less a stage will likely enjoy the new format more because it's easy to follow and understand. It's built to be American Ninja Warrior with guns. it's nothing like Ninja Warrior. I'd love to shoot a Ninja Warrior match. Build it and we will come....
  12. As stupid as some will think I am for doing it, I discovered I've had the absolute most fun at a match shooting a 75 year old Garand.
  13. Make sure the mag tube spring is long enough, assuming you have an extended magazine tube.
  14. I am probably alone in this, but I'm more confident shooting iron sights. Unfortunately, I came to this realization after investing heavily in tac ops. So, expect to see me either with a bone stock AR service rifle, or US Rifle Cal .30 M1, at a few matches this summer. When it comes time to dedicate a rifle to iron sights, Lead Head has the hot setup I will emulate.
  15. That was not directed so much to you as to the many who feel that a "scope it dead to them" without illumination. It's a valid question I think. When I first used my MTAC, (which I only consider OK, but it's what I have), I just thought one was supposed to have the illumination on. But one time my kids were screwing with it, killed the battery with me not knowing before a match, and I haven't turned it on since.
  16. The easy thing for me is to look at the targets during walk through and decide what provides best contrast.
  17. I choose division based on whatever seems fun to shoot at the moment, but well before the match. Sometimes I shoot tac optics, sometimes I shoot a Garand in HM. Really, if it were not for the reloads, I would shoot HM all the time. Maybe I'm too casual in my approach, but I never cared about how targets were presented. I can make the hits or I can't. I do 3 gun for entertainment, and friends.
  18. I mounted mine on a Condor chest rig with Safariland MLS16 forks. Added a slight bend later to contour to my chest.
  19. Steve Rose can hook you up on threading the barrel. Google Rose Action Sports.
  20. I'll throw this out there. In MY opinion, iron sights and 1X optic are not the same. I would like iron sights to be just that, but this has already been hashed to death I'm sure.
