  1. I have to wonder if OP is talking about the stock plastic sights that come with the glock, IMO its the first thing to upgrade on the glock pistols, quality sight set like a dawson that needs some fitting won't fall out of the slide unless someone messes up fitting it.
  2. in the first 5 mins of using my new 650 I added a lip of blue painters tape to the primer bucket, no issues since
  3. I know the feeling, that pic was less than 10 mins after I got the boxes inside lol Now my problem has shifted to I keep running out of components too quickly =)
  4. +1 from me for Bobcat Armament, treated me well and saved a few $$ over going direct, when I priced out stuff via Krackenpop I ended up higher then Dillon actual
  5. No problem here, BUT, I did have issue with my ETS mags having a short internal length and the COL of my reloads cause them to hang up halfway up the mag acting like they the springs were weak, same issue with some of the factory defensive loads I have. Also had the same issue with factory glock mags needing to be loaded a bit shorter then found loading data.
  6. There is a big thread I think in the 3 gun section about converting jogging strollers in to gun carts. I have been using one myself since I started shooting 3gun in March. $20 off online yard sale group. Rolls easy over grass and rough terrain and has a parking brake =) Also nice if you add a sun-brella to it to add portable shade
  7. Thats not bad, Looks like I don't have anything going on Aug 3rd, I might have to come out and give it a go now that I have my loader setup and mags/holster/belt squared away =)
  8. This reminds me that I want to sit down and cad out a knob w/ click detents on the back side and a drill jig for the bars for spring & ball (or door lock pins seeing a have a bunch from when I did locksmithing)
  9. Thats a very over built strong mount lol, I like it My diy strong mount needs some work (has flex) but seems to be doing ok for the whole 3 days I've had my 650
  10. Had a used G35 paid for at the store when I did my first post, scroll up a couple of posts to the one w/ the new reloading press w/ the G35 sitting in front of it =)
  11. This needs more pics or a explanation =) nice looking work
  12. New video as well, neat to see how much my shooting has changed since May (and a bunch of gear changes as well), new brake and adjustable gas block on the AR made a visible difference in recoil impulse on that rifle
  13. I just received a XL650 from Bobcat Steel/Bobcat Armament via talking to them on Facebook, everything went smooth and saved a few $$$, even snagged a used 40 S&W conversion kit from him to try to keep my cost down, also got DAA Mr Bulletfeeder powder funnels from them in my order so that saved on shipping and another order placed elsewhere
  14. Going 9 to 45 can be a bit of a pain because of small/large primer but isn't too bad if you to large runs so you aren't changing over all the time. Just got my XL650 in yesterday and already loaded 300rds of 9mm. I ended up ordering from Bobcat Steel/Bobcat Armament, top notch CS from him so far. For the moment I'm thinking about keeping my SDB in .45 to save needing to change over the primers on the XL650, at least until I get my ammo stockpile built back up
  15. I see you listed replacement FO for your sights. but do you have a lighter to bulb the ends?
  16. I blame the forums for this... New XL650 w/ case feeder setup for 9mm, 40 S&W and .223. Currently breaking it in with 125gn The Blue Bullets in 9mm, will be doing 200gn 40s next. And my blasting rig there, DAA belt, race master holster, Glock 35 w/ Wolff springs comp spring kit, 4.5lb striker spring, 14lb recoil spring, Jager extended rod, Dawson sights, Lonewolf Alphawolf threaded 9mm conversion barrel (I use for local outlaw 3 gun matches), ETS mags, Dawson extended base pads, TTI extended base pads. Next up is to start bending some kydex up and make some more mag pouches and other stuff up
  17. I haven't looked, but I will be looking by Monday, have tracking numbers for my new 650 so I'll be loading some PLA up and the 3d printer is going to be making some parts for sure If I find anything I'll post up links here
  18. I don't know about that last line, printing with out any fiddling doesn't exist IMO lol almost always seems to be some issue with any 3d printer
  19. Might be worth looking at this thread over here There is a part where the topic veers off in to 3d printed bullet collators
  20. Ahh, yes. That is a good point, then something like a lee press + universal decap die. I'm kinda lazy so I have been wet tumbling my brass with primers in still (5 gallons of brass at a time)
  21. I see this said often, but after spending the last couple months reloading 9 and 40 on a single stage press in 100 round batches vs running off 200 round batches on my Dillon SDB... I would say buy a really cheap lee single stage press and a SDB or 550 or XL650 (or maybe some other colored progressive) if you are looking to load any sort of amount close to 100+ per week (or per session). I honestly think there is more room for error doing pistol (or any reloads actually) in large batches in trays (50rds at a time) plus having to handle each casing 3-4 times depending on the setup gets old fast. Running the progressive isn't hard, just work it the same as everything else in this hobby, safety first, go for accuracy off the start and don't try to push the pace faster then you are comfortable with, also make sure to have a understanding of how it all works before running the progressive with a case in each slot, you can always start off with one case and run it all the way till loaded in the beginning. Now I'll be happy when my XL650 w/ case feed shows up
  22. ETS also makes 170mm mags...
  23. I like the ETS mags, running them in 9 and 40. Big plus to being able to use extended glock baseplates and aftermarket springs if you want, but the glock mag followers will not work in the ETS and I have discovered that the 40 S&W ETS mags are shorter (had to reduce the COL on my 40 loads) inside and had some issues with federal tactical hollow points and my own the blue bullets/Egg munition loads hanging up in the mags
  24. Seems to be working well, easier then not having it. not a giant funnel like most of the other magwells tho...
  25. I was looking at the FART, but ended up using a cement mixer, 5lb of pins, citric acid (5lb vs little over priced bottle of lemi-shine). Pins and citric acid both from amazon. Running brass in 5gallon batches currently. I may still buy the Frankford Arsenal wet tumbler at some point just for small runs of PRS brass. Solar Drying system Way over filled separator, don't do this...
