  1. About 7-8 months ago, I called KKM with a problem I was having with a Zev Glock 24. It had a 40 barrel marked KKM and a 9mm barrel marked ZEV. The rep I was talking to informed me at that time, KKM was not making barrels for Zev.
  2. I have used all that you mentioned, my chrono says there is really not much difference. I am currently using SRP (Winchester)
  3. I use Bear Creek 125 gr moly over 3.6 grains of TG at 1.115. Right at 130 PF.
  4. I shot my TS 40 yesterday with an 11lb spring instead of the stock. It seemed to shoot a little flatter but it kicked the brass a few feet further at my 4:00.

    CZ Armorer Class?

I was very intimidated the first time I completely disassembled my CZ. Follow some of the great tutorials here and on YouTube. Then go slow and work in an area where you will be able to find tiny springs. Ask me how I know about this!!! It is now fairly simple to work on any of my four CZ's and numerous CZ's of friends and fellow shooters.
  6. I use the CZC CZ75 extended short base pads. They hold 21 reloadable.
  7. I have some extra 10lb springs I use in my Czechmate, I'll have to give it a try. Thanks
  8. Sir, is that a 10lb spring with a TS in 40cal? If so, I would never have thought to go that low. How far does it eject the brass?
  9. Before you do anything, try the .25 trigger job polishing.
  10. Its this one from CZC. http://czcustom.com/cz75extendedambisafetylhs.aspx
  11. Here is what I have used in USPSA Limited minor, 3gun and steel challenge for a short period of time.
  12. I did not have a choice my STI Tactical 9mm came with a bull barrel. Seems to be an extremely accurate gun for 3gun and playing around with Limited minor.
  13. I got a Czechmate and its been running great. All told with the mount, thumb rest and extra magazines it ended up being more than $2500. Also OP in one of you early posts, you stated you were going to case you own bullets. One consideration is that it will be difficult to push the lead fast enough to make major PF and if you ever did push it that fast it would heavily lead your barrel and comp. Just saying!! Now for some CZ goodness.
  14. I never thought I would own four CZ's but here they are:
  15. Thanks, that good to get that first hand knowledge. I really wanted these to work, that's why I contacted Springer
  16. I just contacted Springer Precision by email. Since it does not state on their website, I had to ask about how many rounds it would add to a 17rd TS 40cal magazine. I was told three, while the CZC added four with the addition of the spring and follower kit. I was also told the base pads only fit with the TS factory magazine well and not the CZC IPSC magwell.
  17. I agree with many of the above post about good result with the NitroFin. Also look at the one from Phoenix Trinity. A little different angle but I love mine.
  18. Got my first Dillon 550 in 1987. I sold that one about 10 years ago when I got a deal on a 650 and 1050. However I got another new 550b about four years ago. It's just wat too easy to change calibers.
  19. Maybe I am doing it wrong all these years. I just set up my 550b as I would for any other caliber (actually have a complete tool head made up for each caliber). I only use brass without crimped primer pockets, mainly Winchester and R-P brass. I tumble clean, spray Dillon lube on cases in a cookie pan and go to town reloading as normal. When done, I don't even run them through the tumbler again to get the lube off. Shoot them as is. I use AA2230 for the last several years and fortunately I still have a few 8# containers left. It meters well and the powder fluctuation is minimal. I do not reload for benchrest shooting from a bolt gun, only for my herd of AR-15s. So I do not trim my brass. I usually use 55gr or 62gr FMJ's. They all seem to feed well in my semi's and on a good day I can hit steel at 300yrd (That's good for me, YMMV). In all, I would guestimate I have reloaded in the neighborhood of 12,000 round of .223 over the last 25-30 years. Maybe I'm lucky to still have all my fingers and don't have any blow up rifles. Mike
  20. I have use both on a pistol. The H1 now resides on an ar15 and I now have two Cmores. It is much easier to find the dot with a Cmore especially with a 90 degree mount
  21. The Cajun Gun Works EZ/D is a .125 wide notch also. It is deeper but not any wider. I hate the big chunky serrations on the EZ/D. They draw my eye to them and I see them as horizontal lines. I guess that's one good thing about having older eyes. I can hardly see the sight let alone the horizontal lines on the sight.

    SP01 in California

I spent a total of $430 with shipping at Cajun Gun Works to upgrade my SP-01 here in California. Did Mr. Altas recommended polishing. The pistol was shot side by side with a buddies SP-01 Accu-Shadow and it felt very similar even though I have a FPB in my gun.
  23. Below is what I bought from David at CGW. I asked him to look over my list. He suggested the H-Pin (X2) for the disco and the hammer strut. I also added the 85c trigger to the list and an 11lb recoil spring. I used David's race hammer but that one is not USPSA legal. I should be able to get away with its at the level one matches. I polished up as Kneelingatlas shows on his link. I would estimate my DA pull to be right around 5# and SA at around 2#. I am extremely pleased with the results. Compared it last week with a friends Accu-Shadow from CZ Custom and there was not much difference in the feel of the trigger. Keep in mind that the SP-01 I did still has the FPB and lifter and it was still about like the Accu-Shadow trigger. 24. I just ordered one. My shooting buddy just placed an order with Adrian for two black thumb rests I'll give a report back on it after I get it and install
  25. I just purchased a can of AutoComp and am planning on 7.0gr. at 1.140 COL with 124gr. Hornady RN....supposedly a 170 PF load. I'll admit to be a little more attracted to HS-6 than AutoComp since it's a little slower powder but don't ask me for a scientific reason :-) I'm on the fence re SRP versus SPP. My SPP (Federal) are pretty flat and suspect the SRP would help that problem but then the risk of breech pitting? I'm going to switch from Federal to CCI SPP to see if the "harder" CCI shows less distortion . Appreciate the help. Dan I'd recommend backing off the Autocomp starting point a bit. I shoot a 124 RN with 6.8gr AC and 1.165OAL, 5" barrel, no holes with a 4 port comp. I get right at 171 PF, I use CCI SPP I think I would definitely agree with backing down the AutoComp from 7.0 with a 124 gr bullet.
