  1. I purchased a set of XS sights. Way too low. After canting 45 degrees, had to really adjust my hold. My cheek hurt from screwing it into the stock. Tried them on three different rifles and they were a no go. I bought Duecks and love them!
  2. I have an HK Expert in 45acp and one in 40 cal. I sent the 40 Expert in for a trigger job and the short rest. Since the 45 Expert is stock, I can readily compare the two side by side. When Bill says short reset he is not kidding. The reset is incredible. My shot times have come way down with effortless double taps . For the money, Bill does nice work. Also have had him do triggers jobs on my AR's with very good results.
  3. My M&P Pro 9mm was sent back to Smith two times. The first time was for light primer strikes and I told them it never hit the same place twice. I was having a very hard time shooting groups at 20yrd and 25yrd. They sent it back with a new barrel. After the barrel swap, I can get 4" groupings at 25 yards. Not perfect but I can live with that for local USPSA matches. Give them a call. I think they usually replace the barrel for anyone complaining of inaccuracy. Its worth a try.
  4. I Also purchased a 5" 9mm Pro about four months ago. It suffered 8-10 light strike per every 100 round. I contacted Smith and they sent out a new striker assembly. That did not fix the problem. Sent the pistol back to Smith and they stated they replaced the barrel and put in a new striker assembly. That did not fix the problem. Finally after cleaning the pistol, I tried to insert a empty magazine into the pistol. The mag would not seat completely and when I removed the magazine, the sear deactivation lever (yellow metal thingy) and a small spring fell out to the bottom of the magwell. Back to Smith it went for a second time. When I got it back, the note stated they changed the springs on the striker assembly and the reinstalled the sear deactivation lever and small spring. It looks to me the deactivation lever could have been the problem all along. I believe it was not installed correctly and it caused the sear to be ever so slightly raised or tilted. This caused the lower leg of the striker assembly to drag on the sear, sometimes taking away the sufficient power to ignite the primer. That's just my opinion from someone that doesn't know a whole hell of a lot.
