  1. we were coming from nc. the problem is, there is a 80 percent chance of thunderstorms. If the there is thunder, they have to stop the match. too far to go and get rained out. was looking forward to it though.
  2. A six inch schuemann hycomp barrel, slide cut/lightened to 10oz or less. 7lb wolff recoil spring. titanium guid rod. fast and flat as a frogs rear end. def a cmore. This is my yet to be built, build sheet. the other barrel I was going to consider was a t1 trubor with the front baffle cut off.
  3. I wonder if they will reschedule? that's a lot of work to do just to have only a few show up.
  4. neither. you may find that it encourages a poor grip. it did with me anyway. in order to use the thumb rest, your support hand thumb that was pointing forward is now pointing up and the rest of your hand will follow. your wrist goes from knuckles down 45 degrees to knuckles straight ahead, weakening your support hand wrist. not many pros use them. BUT, most people that use them are better than me.
  5. wac in 38 sc would be pretty violant. hs6 is a better choice for sc. imho..
  6. ky jel.... oh fp 10 for the other gun
  7. trubor, runs like a sewing machine and you can tweak it step by step. The best choice to get into open for both economic and feature reasons.
  8. funny, I was just reading a post from 2002 and how 9 major would never be a legit alternative for 165 pf open guns. anyway, I like the two, "up" port comps, though the three pro brazos has a very good reputation. I shoot a t1 trubor. the comp is just the slightest bit smaller than a three port, but the ports are huge. akai and cheely both make some stupid sexy comps. just buy them all and tell your wife they only cost 10 bucks each. after all, that custom race gun only cost 450.00.
  9. I drop my barrel (trubor) slide and any other part that needs cleaning in a one gallon carburetor? throttle body dip. you can get It at any parts store. comes out shiny as a baby's bottom. dremmel out the lead with a small cone rasp, spray down with brake cleaner, lube and shoot. repeat. yes, I'm a auto technician.. no, the rasp will not cut the comp, it's not hard enough.
  10. it's a work of art, don't change a thing.
  11. welcome to the dark side! autocomp is safe and easy choice for 9major.. My load: 6.8 grns under a 125 blue bullet. gun: STI 9major t1 comped trubor with two snort holes.
  12. clint, you are going to be very happy with them. I don't know what's in the coating but it works.
  13. I just went from bayous to the blue bullets. no smoke with the blue bullets. While resetting steel at a match last month, I found chunks of lead on the ground with the blue poly coating still on it. I hear they just got new 124 gr molds without the grease ring, can't wait to try them.
  14. I have been shooting blue bullets in open for about 4 months now. they work fine, every bit as accurate as a mg. 1200 125gr rn for 83.00 can't beat that. buy more get a better price.
  15. as far as powders go for 9major, I bet silluette would be pretty sweet under a 95 gr. good luck finding some.
  16. I have switched to the Blue bullets for open. I noticed while resetting steel that the lead chunks on the ground still had the blue coating on them.
