  1. Scooter - are these just the same as the torch-like lighters you can buy at most gas stations? Thanks.
  2. I have a great kydex holster for a long dustcover Edge. I recently had Benny Hill shorten the dustcover and put stirrup cuts in my Edge. Now the holster does not hold the Edge as firmly as I’d like. Is there a way to reform the holster to the new shape of my Edge? Thanks.
  3. For a defense gun, I'd advise you to stick with the stock barrel.
  4. Do it yourself. Look at GLockmeister.com for tech instructions and don't lose the little spring caps.

I've heard that most of Memphis is a tough area!
  6. Funny you ask this question. I just decided to sell my CDP gun (I don't shoot IDPA anymore so it's a safe queen). Here's the info: "Kimber Classic Custom .45 ACP – perfect L10 gun I used to shoot this gun in Lim 10 and IDPA CDP. Great, reliable competition or self-defense gun. Many improvements including trigger job (approx 2.5 lbs), reliability job and Smith & Alexander magwell/MSH (arched). Has some bluing wear on muzzle and slide from kydex holster draws. No mags. $500 + ship/insurance" I'll try to get some pics tonight if you're interested. cpritchard@viewlocity.com
  7. Yes it will. Many people like them. I do not. You can clip off a coil from the factory spring and still get great ignition.

Erik - where the hell do you live? I third the "it's time to move" advice.
  9. The gas ports need to be slightly opened, right? I was wondering if there's a manufactured 18" barrel that you could just slap on and go.
  10. Does anyone make a 18” barrel w/20” gas system besides JP? I'd like one with a chrome lined barrel.
  11. Bill, Thanks to you and Cindy for putting on a great match.
  12. Ok - so if a 18" has the same gas system as a 20," will it be as flat/soft as a true 20" - all else being equal?
  13. Kelly, You don't have to worry about me even with a 20" AR!
  14. Yesterday I shot a freind's AR with a JP Upper with a JP lightweight 18" barrel (20" gas system) and low mass bolt and carrier. It was considerably flatter and softer than my 16" Bushy with a Smith Enterprises comp (which I like). Does a 20" gas system contribute to softer cycling as compared to a 16" gas system?
  15. nevermind - started a new thread.
  16. That sums it up. Sad but true. Where is the outrage by the "friendly" Islamic "holy leaders" over this slaughter or the slaughter of the Blackwater personnel? Nonexistant - becasue they all view us in the same way. We freed the Shites from the oppression of the fomer regime - and they still hate us. Nothing we can do for those people will satisfy them because they can't escape their medivel thought patterns. I also believe they're incapable of self rule without a totalitarian government.

    Benelli

    Already did just that!
  18. I sent my 10 lbs Edge to Benny for slide and frame lightening. Benny turned the work in about ONE DAY! Benny also did some extra work on the Egde without charging any additional fees. You've got to love great customer service by a top shelf smith
  19. Thanks Tvone. My exeprience is similar. I've also had good luck with the Remington reduced recoil slugs.
  20. Benelli as with many firearm companies can have customer service issues. I wouldn't rate them as the best but they are far from the worst. I am curious about that Benelli you sold, did you own up that it had a problem or pass it off on the next guy? Gotta disagree with you there - Benelli ths the WORST based on my experience. When you spend approx $900 for a shotgun, it patterns that poorly (to be essentially unusable) and the factory does nothing for you - I'd say it doesn't get worse than that. As for what happened to the M1 - I disclosed the defect and sold it for less than 1/2 of what I paid for it two months previous! I'm not saying that the design is bad - because it's obviously very good. What I am saying is that Benelli's customer service SUCKS!!! I will never give them another cent.
