  1. Cool - I just didn't want to do anything stupid and have to repair my Cmore immediatley after shooting the gun.
  2. I couldn't find a web site. Shooter Connection, Speed Shooters and Brownells were all out of stock. The Brownell's guys told me that Kidd is in the process of moving his shop, so the shields are on back order.
  3. Flex, If your Cmore get dirty that far from the comp, then I think mine will get blasted. Your mount is higher than mine. I noticed you had a rear sight on your slide. A rear sight won't fit under my mount. I am currently able to mount the Cmore further to the rear, but then brass hits it and causes jams. I think the answer is to either: (1) lower the ejection port, or (2) get a Kidd blast shield (which aren't in stock anywhere right now). This all may be irrelevant if the ports don't do anything - in which case I'll just stick a stock 22 or 35 barrel in it and suck it up. Thanks for your imput.
  4. manufacture one yourself! He's right. I can't find anyone with one in stock.
  5. dbglock35 - thanks! Email to you in bound. BTW - did you damage your cmore from the blast?
  6. I will likely shoot it this weekend and I'll let you know if the ports have any effect. I do have a 2.5" .357 mag that has factory barrel ports similar to my Glock. Those port seem to be relatively effective, but the gas effect from a 2.5" .357 is higher. BTW - never shoot a 2.5" .357 mag with ports from the retention position! Don't ask me how I know.
  7. Hi, like how are you? Sorry to hear that, you know. Okay, you know, the fact or the matter is, you know, I just basically wish that you and me will have a very unique day (i.e., like finding free money-kind of day), you know?
  8. I frequently negotiate business transactions. In that context, I hate the phrase: "the fact of the matter is . . . [inject opinion here]. " This phrase is usually used as in introduction to an opinion or subjective viewpoint. Opinions and subjective viewpoints are anything but "the fact of the matter." There's nothing wrong with having and expressing an opinion or subjective viewpoint, but asserting them as a fact, IMO, belies the credibility of the speaker. This is my opinion and NOT the fact of the matter.
  9. I haven't shot it yet with the ported barrel, but I'll let you know. It's essentially just a .40 Limted gun with a dot.
  10. So here's my goof-around Open gun (no laughter please). Question: will the gas from the barrel ports blast my C-More? When I move the C-More further away from the muzzle, the brass occasionally hits it and causes jams. Thanks for your thoughts.
  11. I think the lightest spring ISMI makes is a 13 lbs spring. I use that one in my Limited G22 .40, with two coils cut off. I use the same spring in my G34 as well.
  12. LOL! He's shooting Limited right now and I don't want to push my luck. I can imagine that conversation: "Hey man, can I borrow your Open blaster? Oh yeah, how about the mags and maybe a holster? Oh, and then I need some ammo . . . "

    .40 vs 9mm

I've not had reliablity problems with my .40 ten rounds mags, but some are hard as hell to seat with a round in the chamber. Hopefully, 10 rounds mags will be a thing of the past in a few days!!
  14. KyTac-1. It's the best kydex Glock holster I've tried, but it's not IDPA legal (which doesn't matter to me). Cut too low to be "tactical" I guess.
  15. Zak, Do you have a gap in the cheek weld when you extend the stock?
  16. Q: Can i still use the extended magazine catch (ala the G34)? A: Yes in Production. IDPA - who knows. Q: i know that a SS guide rod is not legal in SSP, but is it still legal in production? A: Prod - OK. IDPA - SSP, no go, ESP - OK. Q: These are the only external modifications that i plan, other than skate tape. A: Yes, but you can change the sights as well.
  17. Hi Carl! I think 9 major is a great way to go, but for now I'm just seeing if I like the Open thing. John was kind enough to offer let me play with his Super so that 's the ammo I need. I can't be at Cherokee this week, but I'd love to shoot your 9 sometime. Cy
  18. I told you it was silly I just like them and I want my son to be able to shoot it as well with a shorter length of pull.
  19. Thanks Zak. Just so I'm clear on your advise, let me paraphrase. As long as I use the parts that come with the collapsible stock kit assembly (and don't mix and match parts), then it should work. Correct? Thanks.
  20. A friend of mine has graciously agreed to let me play with his .38 Super Open gun for a while (thanks Singlestack). I’m not set up to reload for it. Is there anywhere I can buy major PF 38 Super? Thanks. Cy
