BTW - any possibility that dry firing without snap caps could have contributed to this cracking - or am I just over thinking it?

Luckily I'm in Atlanta and Glock's HQ is here as well. When I cracked my G27, I just drove it to their offices and they replaced it.

I shot my G35 in Limited for my first USPSA season last year. Tonight I was dry firing and it was making strange sounds. Upon investigation, I discovered the slide was cracked on the breech face. It's a bad pic, but you can see the shiny part of the breech face seperated from the slide. I cracked a G27 slide in the exact same way. Glock replaced it without question. I hope they do the same for this G35. I estimate the G35 had 20,000 rounds through it.

Never. The only thing I've replaced are springs and extractor. What striker spring do you use?

I have stenosis (sp?) in several vertebra in my back. Essentially, it makes my back hurt and my legs tingle and numb. If I lift weights, however, I feel 100%. I’m sure this type of exercise is not a panacea for all ills, but I would recommend it to everyone. Give it a try for 3 months and see what happens. In a strange way, the stenosis is a good thing because it makes me go to the gym.

The thing that has always impressed me about USPSA is the willingness of many good shooters to teach and mentor the less experienced shooters. These shooters teach - not because it benefits them personally – but because it is the spirit of our sport. There are at least two BE forum members that I regularly shoot with and who have taught me a lot about the sport. I’m just a run-of-the-mill A class shooter, but I wouldn’t be B class without their help.

Is that the Remington 1100 Competiton Master? I have a M1 Super 90 and I tend to agree with Rhino. As a matter of fact, I'll trade you the M1 Super 90 for the 1100 CM if you're interested. Please email me if you want any details.

The Carver mounts seem to get the scope further back, but none as far back as the 2011s.

Hi Chino. Just turn the screws and you can see the sight move and you'll easily figure it out. Most people hate the Glock OEM adjustable sights, but I like them. I use them with a Hi Viz front sight. As for the front sight - take out the barrel and turn the slide upside down. Take a punch and knock out the front sight. BTW - welcome to the forum.

Thanks Roger. Chuck at Shooters Connection had the railway for $199 with the 6 moa dot. Openshooter - I had the same thought as you about also mounting it on my second AR. What mounts will work with the railway and a 2011?

I plan to only play around with the Cmore and mount it on several firearms. The railway can be easily mounted on anything with a pic rail. If I were going to buy it for a serious Open gun, I'd likely buy the Serendipity.

Thanks Scooterj. That's the best price for the 8 moa dot I've seen. The only bummer is that you have to buy a $40 additional module to get the 6 moa dot - which is what I want. Cmore allows you to configure the scope at its online store. $239 for whatever dot you want - which is slightly cheaper if you have to have the 6 moa.

Thanks for all the replies. I was just thinking about selling my M1 Super 90 and buying two or three pumps! I guess I'll keep it.
