  1. Do you have an EZ Loader gate on the SG? I've seen the EZ Loader gate cause/contribute to that type of problem.

    .40 vs 9mm

I’ve been experimenting with some .40 loads for Production. I worked up a 135 pf load with a 180 bullet, but it felt mushy and the slide seemed very sluggish. I bumped it up to a 141 pf and it seems like a great load that’s still much less snappy than my 115 9mm loads. I have some 155's I'll work up a load for as well. Any suggestions with the 155's and Titegroup? I tried 4.0 grains with the 155's and is was also mushy and sluggish. Maybe I'll bump it to 4.2-4.4. Thanks.
  3. rtr - check out this thread and the links: http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?...571&hl=ar+sight Hope this helps.
  4. In reading the minutes of the Board, it seems that the new rules passed in late 2003 go into effect when the 2004 Rule Book book goes into effect. Does anyoone know a firm date? I'm shooting Production the the Alabama State match this month and want to make sure I can load 11 rounds in the mag and then just chamber one round (i.e., per the new rules). Thanks.

    CGR Connector

    Will do Matt. Thanks.

    CGR Connector

Thanks Matt. I just ordered one to try it out.

    CGR Connector

Is the CGR Pro-tuned connector better than just getting out the dremel and polishing compound and doing it yourself? Thanks for your thoughts.
  8. SS - Eddie Van Halen called. He wants his rifle back!
  9. I agree with Bruce - it makes running reloads much easier for me. Your milage may vary. I do find it interesting that the guys that give me good natured trouble about my AR mag well all have giant mag wells on their pistols Go figure . . . One note: you can't use Thermolds with the Arredondo mag well. USGI mags work fine. SS - you selling your mag well? I'm interested if you are.
  10. Thanks SRT and Tightloop. It's so easy in PRACTICE! This is really the only classifier that I actually practice. It has many elements that I'm not very good at - like the turning draw.
  11. Shot this cold today in practice. Production. 6.00 sec; 58 points; 9.666 HF. Jake - what does that come out to? Thanks. Now if I can just replicate that run in a match . . .

    Cracked My G35

Thanks Joe. You're alright no matter what the local IDPA'ers say

    Cracked My G35

I have one. It's a great gun and a safe queen. I just like the light weight of a Glock and I haven't got used to the comparatively heavy wieght of the Edge . . . and no, I'm not selling it

    Cracked My G35

UPDATE: Today UPS delivered a brand new G35 slide from Glock - no charge.

    Socialism

Amen! The scary thing is that a very large US political party has STRONG socialistic leanings
  16. What Caspian28r said. I don't know how much you'll pay for the Trojan, but if the cost is anywhere near the cost of a used STI Edge or similar double stack STI/SV, I'd go with the double stack because: * You can shoot the double stack in L-10 or Limited. * The big mag well is also easier to reload. * More aftermarket parts options. * Easlier to resell if you wish at a later date.
  17. You shouldn't need one on the CM.
  18. You must have been talking to Benelli's customer service department!

    Cracked My G35

Apparently, yes. It seems unlikely that dry firing is the cause. I've never used snap caps, but the cost is minimal so I'll give it a try anyway.

    Cracked My G35

UPDATE: I took my cracked G35 slide to Glock's US HQ here in the Atlanta area. I spoke with a tech named David (not Sevigney!). He agree to replace the slide with no problems. They will mail me one in a couple of days. David also said that, if I dry fire a lot, to use snap caps. Go figure. You got to like Glock customer service!

    Cracked My G35

Matt - yep, we've found the culprit! Very strange. I seem to have a talent at cracking Glock slides.

    Trigger Jobs

BTW - I just cracked the slide on my G35 that Charlie worked on and that would not reliably ignite primers with the lightened striker spring. The abnormal/worn slide could have caused that situation. Charlie - thanks for your offer to look at it for free, but it doesn't matter now. I may send you the new slide to look over after I get one and put all your parts in it.
